I recently got a fused Kronos cabin for speed. I like being at 130 km/h with the fin whale I bought for cheap off the market a while back, and it works well now. Before, I had to use Phobos for max speed, but now I can pick whatever codriver I want… or so I thought.
You see, it works great on ground builds, the math works out nicely so I cap the maximum speed limit without boosters (I might even be over). But there’s an issue.
Helicopters don’t account for the speed fuse?? When I use the same setup for the ground builds, but add a rotor instead of wheels, the speed DOESN’T add up to the 130 km/h I should get. (And no, it’s not the rotor, maples and impellers don’t have a speed cap.)
Lemme do some math to see what I SHOULD be getting:
Kronos (unfused): 111 km/h
My Kronos (Fused for speed): 114 km/h
Fin whale (unfused because I’m poor): +15% speed (15% = 0.15 for math purposes)
Unfused: 111+(111*0.15)=127.65
Round that to the closest whole number: 128 km/h
Fused: 114+(114*0.15)= 131.1
Rounded: 131 km/h, but the cap for max speed is 130 km/h
Fused part 2: 114+(111*0.15)= 130.65
Rounded: it’s still 131, but the cap is 130 still.
I’m not sure if the fusion affects the engine bonus or not, but that is irrelevant because I should cap it out either way, so why is it only showing the max speed is 128 still??
Furthermore, is this affecting all cabins or just Kronos? Let’s see…
I have a fused Nox for speed, which caps out at 111 km/h. I started as a normal ground vehicle. I put the Nox onto a single frame. It shows 111 km/h top speed. I change the blueprint to a helicopter (same exact setup, just a helicopter this time). Top speed shows 108 km/h.
Why does the fused cabin with extra speed not apply to helicopters?? ![]()
