Seems like groups like to cheese this brawl a bit. I haven’t played this version yet, but that’s how it usually goes.
Fortunately, like the previous brawls, one doesn’t need to put much effort into achieving the goals required to win the prizes. This is low hanging fruit, and I think the “Banshee Blood” is another great paint I’ll be glad to add to my collection.
So far, they’ve never nerfed paint.

Welp, I finished the first day’s challenge; hadda just play it 3 times. I scored a whopping 8 points in the first match with an 8th place finish, 3 points in the second match with an 8th place finish, and a bright spot the third time with 14 points and 7th place.
So, day 2 requires you to take 6th place. Uh oh.
Day 3 requires you to take 6th place, twice…for a sticker with an eyeball on it. Forget it, unless I can convince some kid to play for me.
Day 4 requires you to just play 3 times. I could handle that, if it wasn’t for day 3.
Day 5 requires you to take 5th place, to get the banshee paint, which I would have liked to have had. Banshees were Irish spirits who screamed when someone in your home was gonna die…very rude. I’m screaming for lesser reasons.
Day 6 requires you to just play twice. I could handle that, but that day 3 is holding things up…
The final day requires you to take 4th place. These people are twisted.

is it that bad? i havent jumped in and tried it yet.
this is the type of challenge i hate coming across in these brawls. getting any place in a brawl is just an instant nope from me and ill just skip over this.
yeah im not bothering with this brawl. normally i like trying the brawls at least once but when the rewards are next to impossible to get thats when i just say no thanks. i mean i do want the crate for the final day because its a free expansion for storage / blueprints but other then that… its not worth it. and also id rather not deal with the whole “win in this place X amount of times” because thats just tedious to me.
Tbh it’s not that the brawl is difficult, just need a bit of luck and be able to use the map and then try to hold onto the balloons for ~ 20s and your guaranteed a decent result. I had 2 second places and a 5th and I stopped half way through that last one to write this critique!
It’s just a very basic and stupid game mode, I can’t imagine how any game designer would see how anyone but a bunch of 5 year olds would enjoy it even once. It’s really annoying because I genuinely enjoyed the last brawl.
As far as race-inspired brawls, I preferred the last one to this one.
I feel like it would be better on a bigger map.
I don’t hate it though, and will probably keep playing it to get the final reward. Always need more storage space.
I like it a lot, what it comes to hunt-style events (that we have not had in a long time, last one was back when supercharged update happened and it used to be the halloween event) this is a very good one, because the one before this had undriveable cars due to the supercharged update and not calibrating the builds after said update in any shape or form, and before that it was pretty much same experience as it is now, but on the special sand map that was about half of the current map with the acid pit, so it’s much more driving focused rather than everyone driving in a circle on a small map
Other than that there are no real changes, the powerups/nerfs are the same as always so people who liked the original hunts will like this just as much, and I like the challenges way more in this mode than the “No brakes” brawl, you can get places 3-6 very easy and playing extra casually so you don’t need any sweating to get them, unlike no brakes where you had to do very good to get anything and it was a pain to even bother
And you can also play this completely ignoring the original purpose of the brawl, I got to place 3 by just driving around the map until I got the deadly shot powerup, then pincer attacking the leading car and stealing the balloons and gaining balloon holder points like that. Sticky bomb is also very much fun to farm and dump onto people
This balloon brawl was worse than I expected. Just following balloons around a map, never being able to catch up, was really boring.

Well, I have great news! I was able to complete day 2 (“achieve at least 6th place”) on the first shot! It was easy, because there were only 6 of us instead of the usual 8!

leaving games with more than 6 players to do the challenge because this game mode is such utter garbage!

Just had a match where the balloons despawned. Just, poof, no more balloons. All we could do was mess around for six minutes or leave early and get dinged for “Unsportsmanship”.
I just had this for the the first time with the hover builds, and it is by far the superior version of this current brawl, not only is the booster a bit longer than on other builds, but you also don’t only need it to move forward fast but to help with rapid turns and stuff, and the builds themselves feel way faster than the other builds, making the entire game mode more mobile on this big map it’s the most fun when you get the hover builds
By far the most superior form of builds on this mode. So far the worst one has been the walkers and all the wheeled builds are about the same
I tried it today, and most of the time when I ram someone, THEY KEEP THE BALLOONS. WTF is this?? I should get the balloons on contact, it shouldn’t need to be that hard of a ram. I just want the paint, and then I’ll hopefully never come back.

I’m yet to understand the total mechanics of it all but tbh I play this as little as possible and usually just play games with 6 or less for guaranteed challenge success. Going round collecting the scorps to shoot other players is way more fun, usually to help whoever can get the game over as quickly as possible with a quick win. Balloon chasing is for children!
I’m with you, as soon as I get the paint this mode can do one!

PVP seemed to be going through an awkward phase, so I thought it was more entertaining than what I was getting in there (seems better now). I didn’t care for the walkers, but the rest of it was amusing enough, and much easier than what I remember.
I wouldn’t want to do a lot of that, but in small doses it was nice break from PVP.
I’m ready for my for my Banshee Blood tomorrow.
They’ve been kicking out some premium paints lately, free and easy. Thanks, devs. I am largely here for the bling, and this is another solid win for me.

I can’t even stomach attempting to get the paint, this game mode is the worst I’ve ever come across.

In what way? It just seems like an awkward racing simulator.
I like fast, so I liked it because it was very that, and mostly played just an excuse to do that. It did glitch and crash on me though, but by then I’d already cashed out…ya, I played beyond the final prize.
Funny thing about that. Trying to earn that last prize (4th place twice) was like pulling teeth. After that though, I couldn’t manage to slack off enough to prevent myself from winning at least 4th place, every time…until it crashed. Suddenly it was easy as pie.
