I have noticed a massive Q time for entering any match. Sometimes I have waited 5 minutes or more for a lousey EZ raid I could complete all alone. Knowing the time when most veteran players log in is helpful. A restructering with reduction in all cost’s would help in this current world economy. Fact is More people will spend money on a hobby rather than buying a boat or a cool automobile . I have worked the hobby buisiness and understand how it works in bad economic times . Cost’s being it be crafting a weapon or component or purchaing a pack, Drop the fees for the work bench and the tax on market sales entirely. lessen the grind a tad bring the faction grind back into the game as the original design that actually worked well. BP’s are fun but time to expand the wasteleand Dev’s! Fact is, I haven’t purchased a pack in years. all due to the inflation they have imposed . Pricing themselves out of exisistance. Question, Are all of the BP’s and mini events a sign of finacial death or ? I certainly hope not. I do enjoy this game immensely and have invested a lot of time & $$ into it .
Doesn’t that make one a "Share holder "? ![]()
I recently played raid with just another dude until completion. So that’s an upgrade comparing to being kicked out if at least 3rd player don’t join within few minutes or someone leaves. So maybe this system would get even more flexible, would be cool.
I rage scrambled my store in game about 2-4 times. So I sort of starting over again and need to get more parts same as you. Monthly BP and crafting is a great help with that, but it is too slow. The game is too priviliged toward those who just happened to play it from the start carefully collecting everything.
But thing is, devs have two models of players in mind:
Things are tough for second group. Lots of legendary “musthaves”, while waiting times reduce farm, and scrap became twice as cheap. So I agree. Unles paying and paying a lot - I’m not gonna get anything decent in game… and as people get older we have other responsibilities and interests so there’s less people who can spend their lives grinding game parts as ignorantly as before.
"“Share holder "
”
Is a leftie takeover fraud. The owner of business should own it, just has to be less reckless about it. It’s the conditions for new starters that matter. And regulation of land and minerals.
i soloed a raid about 5 times in my crossout experience… i think lol ![]()
it isnt to bad doing it solo but i prefer team mates. its why i said we could do with ai team mates to fill in the role of other team mates. sure they are ai but they dont complain, dont try to grief you… for the most part… ![]()
and they are accurate with their shots. plus can be used as a meat shield if need be.
i have mostly all the weapons i want in the game. the most im doing now is just saving coins for relics, as someone whos played the game long enough to get a nice pile of a ton of fused weapons. i mean… im in no hurry to get many of the battlepass items. alot of the bp stuff is just… meh to me.
it still seems like a massive grind to me though even as a veteran player with a ton of stuff.
thing is, if i were a new player and i seen the way the game is monitized id be gone. i did the exact same thing with world of tanks. as soon as i seen pay to win ammo and you had to buy slots to get more tanks i noped out of that game and deleted it so fast i could hear the devs cry. i imagine its the same thing with other newer players to. they see the prices on things and either try to go f2p and realize its a massive grind fest with griefers and degenerates in a toxic community full of people who love seal clubbing or they just try it, see that they arent gonna get anywhere fast without paying, and quit.
this game isnt friendly to newer players and especially the toxic base of man children who hate the fact that other people play and want to enjoy a game.
theres many reasons this games dying and i wont be surprised if by next year that numbers cut in half again where the only people left are the toxic players tryig to see who has the bigger tail pipe.
XO is just too complicated for people. That’s why dumb shooters like Call of Duty or CS:GO are most common. It’s just because of what people can handle. A lot of people can’t even handle Skyrim or Fallout and get lost in quests lore, crafting, open world. It’s just what certain people can handle.
I played World of Tanks and War Thunder and it was fun… but then, I was sort of seal clubbing. Not exactly sandbox seal clubbing but picking some comfy mid tier and improving my tactics and builds.
World of Tanks was awesome for it’s time. And so been War Thunder with air arcade mode… I don’t know where else would I play so much fun air stuff.
Warframe, an insanely complicated game, gets 60+k CCU and that’s only on Steam, let alone dedicated launcher / mobile / console
Twas merely a joke.
This is what Scientologists-I mean Crossout players actually believe
Nope it’s not. It’s still a shooter at core. You run a simple character. Not build yourself from explosive, melee resistanat and structural parts to then get rammed, burnt, gnawn, shoot at by splash, penetrating, energy weapons, then have drones(both ground, air, stationary and moving) around you, mines, have your teammates swarm around randomly around the map… Then devs change meta and physics of everything entirely from time to time.
Just what I observed. Even those who do play, they still make things like armoring your craft with bumpers so when you see that - that’s a sign there’s barely any HP on cockpit so you just focus it and kill it quickly. And also it happens automatically when they use their craft head on, which they do.
And game has no way of telling you that you doing something wrong, even other players almost never would criticize your build and help you out, plus many people psychologically defend their garbage like “I’m fine with this”.
Other thing almost everyone is stuck with an assumption that you either make something ugly and efficient or nice and inefficient, while you could and and should keep things somewhat neat. While most efficient meta things still were rather aesthetic in core like wedges, even doggies.
While also building something decent becomes an option only after unlocking sh(tload of prestige or badge exchange parts, so new players are mostly doomed to run inefficient cars without access to parts that are viable for balance, so that’s another fault on dev’s side.

You quite literally have more than 7 layers of synergies, you have to account for arcanes, abilities, mods, weapon specials, operator abilities, damage types, archon shards, school focus etc, in this game you can boost the mining laser damage (which is an utility “weapon” that deals 1-3 damage) so it hits the damage cap (32 bit integer).
Don’t say anything about a game you have no knowledge about.
Also even your knowledge of Crossout isn’t that big, nobody “builds from construction part resistances” as they’re utterly useless. It’s a newbie sheepie trap. You either slap some steppewolves / scavengers parts if you’re constrained within tight PS ranges, or slap ravagers / firestarters / engineers parts if you need max HP for as little mass as possible. Nothing inbetween aside from a few exceptions like these walker parts with 50% DR spots on them, or that one big 300 hp syndicate part
Might even go on calling Overwatch a complicated game.
You don’t have to deal with your own geometry and vehicles physics there, and have to build something decent from junk to even begin doing something. Then have game’s sandbox tier plagues by farmer sealclubbers because reward is the same at both 5000 PS and 20 000.
nobody “builds from construction part resistances” as they’re utterly useless.
I know, those recent 5-20% resistances are cosmetic practically. I was adressing the main split - using bumpers as armor. It’s ok when you need to say armor you gun on a wedge from the side and just need that 150 durability from compact shape that structural parts won’t give, but I’ve seen way too much builds using bumpers only armor.
Also takes a lot of experimentation to understand what “gun mounts” shoot through parts are and when to use them as both gun mounts and screen armor, especially with trash like 50% shot through and structural HP… basically being inferior at both.
So I was talking about those resistances:bumpers, shot-through(extremely PS expensive and punishing to use wrong at lower PS) and normal structural parts which I know well work as “lighter but more PS expansive” vs “use stepwoof for low PS hp”
i’m quite literally speechless, but euro players are gonna be euro players i guess
You’re forgetting the third type of “player”: The Wallet Warrior. Somone who just spends money to get what they want i.e. Clown Coins, packs etc.
I have been playing since 2017 proper and I’m no pro but I got a few legendaries. Thing is I never wasted my time grinding on Legendaries that I wouldn’t like. So long standing players don’t all have “everything”.
Some of the Legendaries are traded up for newer items. Our needs are a fickle thing. Rare we stick to one or two things : ]
As for new players it is indeed a shame the devs don’t think about the longevity of this game. I.e. building a substantial reputation to gain more players. As is it’s only ever been short term goals here. Those being packs to sell a new weapon then nerf it a month or two later to make way for a new one.
You’re forgetting the third type of “player”: The Wallet Warrior. Somone who just spends money to get what they want
They are either first type(if the have everything) or second(if they don’t yet).
And even though I bought 2-3 dozen of packs(for prestige parts and to try out new stuff) I don’t feel myself wallet warrior at all. Seal clubber - maybe. I spent almost all the time at 5000-6500 PS.
So long standing players don’t all have “everything”.
Then you don’t really qualify, you’ve been missing farming duty. You must have not noticed epic whine of them going like “Devs rolled out new part I don’t have in my collection and I used to have a piece of everything, it costs 6000 coin and I want it BAD enough to whine but not bad enough to really pay or sell anything, but I feel strong urge to have everything because I used to(back when game had few dozens of parts lol)” And generally game is full of players who have fused relics(although often that’s dev’s children by some gossips) So… everyone got their own realities.
And primarily why I made that split is because devs as if orient the game towards the “have everything” type. Focusing on rolling out new battlepasses that have easy sets of brand new legendaries, and some packs occasionally, so them oldfags can just fill up their collection. While basically if you kept up with all the battlepasses - you’d have wide set of legenaries for meagre price and meager effort.
While new players supposed to do… what at all?
Extra small battlepass with access to crafting legendary parts gives only equivalent of 2 legendary parts, while each season had 4-5. So you can spend a year trying to catch up and still won’t. And high leagues for Uranium is a joke entirely. Basically “Win against relics to… farm uranium to make relics. Kill swordsman without a sword to get sword to… what lol?” Not to mention buying relics lol… or even fusing them… and then to find out to be on the level with the league you need a set of different builds with relics… So basically you either played the game a lot from the start or you missed it all and can just graze pve or sandbox pvp in a dying game that still expects you grind hard like it’s 2010s.
