Being forced to the Slaughter

When you leave the game there is no bot that replaces you, i dont know where you got that idea.

This is not true if you leave before the timer is complete.

If your an A-hole and wait for the timer to endā€¦ thenā€¦.

This mechanic only applies to normal games friend.
How many Bots have you met in slaughter mode?.

No it does not.

And Iā€™m not talking about bots.

Iā€™m saying that when a player leave before the timer is done then that person is replaced by a player.

Iā€™m also saying that anyone that leaves after the timer is over an A-hole. If your going to leave then leave before the match startsā€¦ if you commit to the match then play it.

Im sorry to burst your fantasy bubble, but players dont get replaced in slaughter mode when they leave before start timer ends or after.

I hate to burst your bubble but I watch the names change out on Xbox.

Sooooā€¦ Iā€™m not sure what to tell you friend.

Perhaps the game is different on your xbox vs my pc, i do not know.

Nor do I know.

But all I do know is - I can watch the names change in and out when the match is loading.

Also - Iā€™m on a 1 gig connection - so when I start a match I have to sit and watch for 30 seconds or more before a match starts.

Maybe your not loading in that early to see it?

I donā€™t know - just trying to brain storm at why it might seem different.

This has more to do if you are on a current gen box or last gen.

Ah yeah, I get you. Didnā€™t think of that.

I have a Series X - so I instant load when I que in.

So Iā€™m also going to guess that potato PCs have the same issue?

Playing with people on old gen consoles is honestly pain. I remember on Forza we had to stop playing with anyone from old gens on lfg because youā€™d spend nearly more time loading than racing

I donā€™t know if Iā€™ve ever noticed players leaving and being replaced while a match is loading, except for bots being replaced by real players, and then the whole PS order shuffling.
Having said that, matches will regularly start loading with half bots, and then by the time the match starts itā€™s all humans.

I think I have occasionally seen the matchmaker move players from one team to the other, as it tries to balance the overall PS of the teams.

I will start paying closer attention and see if I see players leaving and being replaced. Sometimes they just donā€™t ever seem to finish loading, but in those cases the matchmaker seems to give that team one extra player or bot. Which is weird, because at the end it looks like it was a 6v7 match, but it wasnā€™t.

Same here. I could have sworn I saw it happening.

Iā€™ll double check, no harm in that

With the way that the player list is now initially ranked by PS, it gets confusing, as the list keeps shifting as new players are added and bots get removed.
Not always easy to tell whatā€™s actually going on.

They should change the name of this new mode to ā€œAbandonmentā€

Yeah, I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever seen a full team in this mode yet, there is always at least 1-2 players gone within the first few seconds on both teams

Every game I played last night at 9k on Xbox had a full team in this mode.

I played it about 3 times.

This was at US primetime. So Iā€™m thinking this mode might not be as populated for EURO players. (At least on Xbox)

I do feel that some of the complaint threads (maybe not this one, who knows) are specific to where people live and what time zone they play.

I really like this new mode, modes with chaotic non linear spawns is what I excel at. I use to be in the top 30 for free for all in cold war on pc with a 58% win loss ratio. I think part of the reason not soo many players like it is because there is less of an emphasis on team work. Not that team work donā€™t triumph in this mode but it is harder to pull off when your sidekick spawns on the other side of the map.

I have talked to many people that love this mode.

People that donā€™t like something are always more vocal.

Iā€™ve been finding that teamwork is even more important in this mode.
Best strategy seems to be to initially ignore the enemies and instead find the nearest allies and group up. Once youā€™ve got three or four players working together, you can rampage around picking off enemies, or even just wait for them to come to you one by one.
If you get momentum going, itā€™s really hard for them to come back.
