Its not about PS, but player skill mostly. In Bronze+ you already have 16k+
Myself i use 17k+ kind of almost every build. But ofc PS dont matter there, but build matter.
For example Stop clan can use 20k+ builds, but it dont matter if this build will no work… so its not about PS here.
I still respect them for playing something that noone else(at least i didnt seen similar) play. And they still were often in Silver anyway.
But at least thankfully there are some clans, even in higher tiers that are not toxic, since most other clans are toxic especially in high tiers.
Anyway sorry since i might lead to offtopic. This is related about player playstyles, but not so much, so once you answer i will not continue anymore
edit: to below:
i hope you didnt mean me.
agree with that man. Fuses are needed a lot. Expecially cabin.
Yup, i mean PC, i didnt had access to Console for long time now.
I know Console people will need sell items before merge, since PC crososut part prices are 2x lower lol.
I’m not sure about the platform you play on, but on Xbox the builds that are played at Bronze are not the same builds played in Diamond.
The guys in Bronze “think” they have the same builds because they might have the same guns and movement parts and they might even look similar.
But the fully fused out beasts at the top are miles away from being the same, even at the same PS.
I’m going to see myself out of this conversation, I do think you are saying good things for most people and I’m not trying to discredit your information.
But to me, the top builds and the mid tier CW builds are night and day different.
When I was playing top ten, if someone said to me “I got a set of Firebugs today” - my first reply would be “do you have the fused cabin, module, ext. to go with that?” And if they answer was “No” then the next line they would hear is “Keep that in the garage till it is complete.”
I don’t bother waiting, unless it’s Copper Patrol and I had to use gas to play. Ideally, I make it to the end of the match though, right? I do tend to make it to the end of matches often enough that waiting through the drone-boat chase scene isn’t something I feel like I need to bother with. I’ll get my resources from the next match …maybe?..hopefully?
These days, I’ve been leaving matches just because PVP sucks so bad. I leave a lot of matches before they even start. Like, anytime I get Sector Ex. I’m just done with that map.
I know, it’s toxic game play maybe, but I don’t care any more. If the matchmaker is going to give me Sector Ex over and over when I’m running missiles, then sorry, I’m probably going to bail. I’m sick of that map anyway, and I’ll bail on that map regardless of what I’m running, but with missiles, it’s just phcking goofy.
I feel like I’ve revived some latent Lancer hate on the forum. Usually, nobody even mentions them, because they’ve been mostly irrelevant for so long, but lately they seem to be mentioned a lot, and always with disdain. Like it’s cheating, or is a cheap-ass play-style for losers.
I’m not saying that’s what you’re doing…but I don’t want to talk to that other guy anymore, and you seem more reasonable and less pissed about it. I’m not even saying I’m mad about it either. I just think they sure have been coming up a lot lately. I think maybe it’s a little funny. Just a little.
I like my Joust-rod. I think it’s beautiful. It has no counter…
…other than my own team mates. They hard-counter my Lances often. I don’t think it’s as easy as it might look. Same with the Tusk, and Tempura; If anybody out there thinks that’s free money, then go get some, hot-shot. Show me. Kidding. Don’t.
It’s true though, if I get foiled early, I will bail, and often. I certainly will not stay for the drone-boat chase scene. I will just hop back into a queue and hope for a better opportunity. I really don’t have an issue with the penalty for not staying. Crafting sucks anyway, and if there was something interesting in this game, and I wanted it, I would be prone to just buy it and skip the drudgery of that whole boring mini-game.
I lost my interest in farming resources before I even started playing. When I started this game, I looked at that system and said, “Nope. Not gonna do that.” If the game’s fun, I’ll play it. If not, I’ll go to the forum and bitch about it, I guess.
About the most complex thing I’ve ever crafted was a set of Big Feets. That’s how I know for sure, I hate crafting.
Point of the long dumb story? I’m not interested in resources enough to sit through matches I’m not playing, I’m OK with the penalty, and that joust-rod is not the farm tool kids think it is.
I definitely have nothing against lancers. Especially after trying them and realizing how hard they are to play well.
But if you could get full resources after losing a match, people would play lances differently, and that would be annoying. Especially if the lance farmers are on your own team, and they all charge in and die immediately.
I actually like it when I get obliterated by a lancer: really gets the adrenaline pumping, and makes me watch the minimap a lot more afterwards.
As for the Turbo-Tusk dudes; I sort of like chasing them about. I think they disrupt the seriousness of the game with something of a jovial and ridiculous nature that is a stress relief from how over-important this game can feel sometimes. Of course I don’t like getting blindsided by them so much either, but whatever.
Personally, I could never get the Tusk to work for me, so good for you if you can, Turbo-Tusk Dude.
But the last boom-sticker who tried to ram me was destroyed. And I only lost a few wheels.
I feel like they are easily countered, which cannot be said about Tusk. Sometimes Tusk obliterates me on the spot even after it missed me, made U-turn and barely started moving toward me. For some reason its damage is enough to pop my full 1900 HP through thick bumpers
They do seem to be strong again, thanks to the wheels update, and the market price has gone up pretty good with its popularity.
I think the Lances are a little under-powered, I think, but then mine aren’t fused, and I know there has to be room for that. I’m not sure I’m committed enough for a fused set of those things, myself. Seems like a big project.
TBH IRL that weapon was considered a crappy idea. Maybe this is why devs don’t want to look into it now.
Leaving aside the matter of personal preference, we can look at the economical side of that “project”. Lancers best be used in missions/patrol/very rarely in CW. Never in raids. Most other weapons have charges/shells/unlimited charges or ammo. Lances can help you to kill 1-2, maybe 3 other cars (if you’re super-lucky and use self-destruct). That playstyle also leaves you with much lesser fuel income. In short, you gonna have to grind a lot of resources/coins in order to craft/buy 12*number of fusings epic items. And all that for a chance of losing them slightly slower than before — under enemy fire, that is. If the enemy doesn’t see you, they’re already dead. Which negates the need of the upgrade.
To get the most damage out of lances/boom sticks you need to have 4 blocks from the start of the first tip to the second set tips. (From front to back, not right to left)
You need space for the car to travel before the next set hits.
This make it so when the second set hits the full explosive damage of the first set is already done to the parts before the second set hits. Then the explosive damage is not wasted on the same group of parts.
It all happens really fast, but it’s “boom” (travel space) “boom” (travel space) “boom” - depends on how many layers of sticks you got.
From watching the various wars on Youtube, it seems as if Tanks have been made obsolete by explosive drones and heat seeking rockets such as the Javelin missile. For the army of the future, it probably is best to avoid tanks altogether as they appear to be a waste of fuel and a death sentence for their operators.
The funny thing is that the WWI era '98 Mauser scoped bolt action rifle in the hands of a skilled marksman appears to be the best military weapon by far for the 125th year in a row. That’s 1898 Mauser.
