Tanks are not obsolete. Just like helicopters, jets and air craft carriers are not obsolete.
We are simply seeing modern tech vs 80’s/90’s designed tanks. China is the only nation to have fielded a brand new design (complete new chassis etc.) in numbers in the last decade.
Funny thing about armed conflicts, people are actually trying (and succeeding!) in blowing stuff up. War material of all types are being destroyed daily.
Is the pistol obsolete because there is the rifle? No, it still has it’s place on the battlefield.
