Caucasus is the new weopon of choice--thx crossout!

Absolutely right, as someone said before, ftp people can play for free solely because of people actually paying and spending money in the game. Maybe they should be more grateful to people paying, their ftp experience is entirely dependant of them.

f2p players are the ones keeping servers alive. They don’t ask you to feel grateful about it, but if they weren’t here you’d be playing PvE content only because the population would be WAY too low to get any decent PvP action.

Well without people paying you woudnt have any game period. Without fp2 sure youd have less people but atleast you’d still have a game to run. And heck maybe theyd have a better source of income and can afford more to make the game better and/or reduce the grind if they can add more content and things to get. Sure I highly doubt that will ever happen but there is plenty of niche MMO games with decent playerbases that you buy the game upfront and pay for extras like any f2p.

I’ll gladly pay for this game again if the next BP is as good as the first ones. BUT… The complete garbage servers we play on these days aren’t exactly an incentive.

You can’t have butter and butter’s money (bonjour (^:), if you want this game to cost real money you have to invest into real servers, and make real updates to it (getting better there).

Ja that’s what I meant by affording better stuff like tech for servers like you said. It’s a vicious circle they’re stuck into since years. Yes f2p can be viable but they usually require shit ton of people, crossout feel like its living of the few rich people that invest more than theyd want rather than lets say a safer bigger playerbase paying bit less in other f2p games and that keeps them stuck in this limbo of never having enough money to upgrade.(or maybe they do have enough accumulated over time but dont wanna spend it for some reason)

I honestly think that’s a conscious decision. They did invest tons of money into the game… in online advertisment. This makes me think the intent is less to have a good retention rate, but rather to just hook a few wallets on legs. I’ve heard many people give some numbers that are quite ridiculous if you consider the state of the game. Enough money to pay for me, you, the two first front rows of seats, and the promo accounts they’re giving to anyone with more than 50 views.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the game, and it’s not even the most predatory f2p out there. It had moments when it was worth paying. But they really need to fix their servers and bring back not-crappy BPs :face_with_monocle:
