Confrontation balance

Little spikie, most of us are ok with that.

The game itself would be simple with out a challenge presented. That challenge is presented by other players as they have done away with the majority of rpg aspects…

Me too, the casual player that I’m up against with a PS advantage on my side and/or group would argue otherwise because those points mainly come from matches like that. But then my queue times tend to get longer for some reason.

If you try to argue for people that will not argue for themselves your just going to make suffering for everyone.

With all due respect for your will to share - this so called “meta” hits a lot harder on PC where most of the online remains and trust me personalized builds are not as efficient as you’d think, maybe under 7.5K PS

I understand but watching players leave our project in front of my eyes doesn’t seem right to me either, I’d much rather discuss why I think it’s happening and maybe raise a bit of awareness so that it gets seen and reacted. I wouldn’t be sitting here if I didn’t care for the project you and I invested our time in.

No one will say it’s not frustrating but moving when it’s in your favorer takes a lot less effort. Discuss things all you want just don’t be combative about it.

Don’t you think allowing more players to play would benefit the company more than just filtering who’s willing to donate or not?

‘it looks like your trying to pick a fight again’ and your 2 forum buddy’s will join in again so it’s 3 on 1.
'he is just explaining things,no cares if it’s not your point of view…there are Many views from many people.
'try to leave people alone and not treat them like your clan mates.

'oh and by the way…he’s more informative than the bs 'everything is fine :poop:

Are your arms getting tired from trying to stir the pot?

Not my experience at all. Almost all my matches are 4v4, with all players close to 9kPS.
Occasionally a lower PS player will be on each team.
The only 4v3 matches I’ve seen were when one player disconnected at the last second.

Strange, you think it affects if you’re solo/grouped? Or if it’s a region thing? I’m EU/RU btw.

Possibly, but I suspect it’s more to do with the PS of your own build. I only play solo, and on PS4 you don’t choose a region. I sometimes play against European players, sometimes against other NA players.

If you are for some reason choosing to play a 7kPS build, I would assume the matchmaker would struggle to find enough other players doing that. Better to max out your PS like everyone else. This isn’t PVP, where you can make your experience less intense by lowering your PS. If you want that, play PVP.

It isnt seal clubbing at 9k. Regardless, it was open this week during CW. Those “seals” could play as you suggested but by keeping open during non CW too, it offers them a chance tocppay with “sharks” too. Win-win

As mentioned above I’m a 9K player myself, I’m just getting queued up Against 7.5K. And if you’re on console it would make sense our queue’s PS differ from each other.

If anything, console should be worse because of less players.

Anyway, the original post of mine that you initially responded to wasn’t about new players or people playing at 7kPS. It was about the experienced players who prefer 9kPS, but who constantly posted about how unfair it was that they sometimes ended up in matches against 12kPS players.
This mode fixes that issue and provides a format where their particular skills should shine, without having to worry about playing against high PS builds. But for some reason those particular forum members have been largely silent about this mode.
I am genuinely curious how they feel about confrontation, but suspect they’ve moved on to new complaints.

'the only thing about confron from a PC view—it is all bricks and high end vet players,it’s just a bad design for new players…
and the mm in cw? 'well there isn’t any,a team of 6k go up against a team of 14k…
talk about a bad experience for new players…
'nuff said,

I just don’t care to chase it around. Plus, I’m a lone random, so that mode is almost always going to be extra rough. I’ve just decided to ignore the feature. Since it’s usually unavailable anyway, that’s been very easy to do…since the badges crept back, thankfully (if only I could delete the icon).

Why don’t they just do this to the matchmaker in PVP (obey brackets)?

I like the idea, myself, when you put it in those terms (hard bracket).

Personally, I hadn’t been giving the feature much attention (it’s usually unavailable, not chasing it, fugatta’bout’it), but seeing it from that perspective makes me more interested, but it’s not usually available…I’m not sure I’m ready to dedicate three blueprint slots to a mode that is typically unavailable, more off than on, and is going to be more difficult as a loner…who’s wasn’t really interested in the first place…I will consider it though…maybe. IDK.

Seems like a nuisance feature, and more Crossout sadism I have no interest in, like the original Clan Wars before it.

On the bright side, most any battle pass (even an auxiliary pass), should put kids within reach of a competitive PS-9K Confrontation build, no? I think I could make a fair 9K build using parts from any one of the battle passes well enough to kill at least a couple brats in Confrontation Mode…maybe I’ll try it.

That’s flat-out calling this game pay to play, I suppose, but whatever. Anybody playing for a year ought to have access to something competitive for Confrontation, even f2players. Does that sound reasonable to assume? Is that a reasonable expectation? I’m not really sure. Maybe if you’ve been playing for a year as a f2player it’s time to put some quarters in the slot? Just asking.

IDK, I have no reason to want to play this mode, but it might give me something to do with this Battle Pass crap that I’m not really using for anything (I prefer wheels and cars).

I wouldn’t mind hard brackets in PVP, but I don’t think they have the player base to do that right now, and I would rather have short queue times.
I do think that confrontation would be the perfect place to use that BP stuff you never use. Just think of it as a new challenge: maximum fire power and efficiency. Like you decided to take your rusty hot rod and enter it in a drag race competition, so you stripped out the interior to reduce weight, blew some money on race tires and a new engine. Might not look as pretty, but goes real fast now.
Also, you only need to do one confrontation session a week to get a reasonably good ranking out of it. Even if you lose every match, you’ll still accumulate a lot more points than you would in a whole week’s worth of PVP.

I think it was smart to make it available during CW, as it does allow fewer CW teams to compete and thus easier queues during those times.

I also think they should make the rewards selectable, as many players cap out on scrap. That makes it less likely for people to log back in and play.
