it is, by every single metric
You realize this describes everything that happens within capitalism, right?
By that logic, playing any game is slavery.
I think you might need to think a bit more about what slavery actually means.
no. by that logic, youre incentivized to spend money to not have to deal with the “challenges” and get the items you want right away.
it is intentionally shit to grind for items you desire. so ill connect my points together for you - i would rather spend real life money on getting the items i want than to slave away doing the so called challenges.
I ask again, how is completing a daily challenge “slavery”?
To complete a daily challenge, all I have to do is play the game. I like playing the game. I would play the game even if I didn’t get rewards from it.
A better comparison with slavery would be an actual job. When we go to work, our bosses make money from our labour. If I don’t work, I can’t survive, which means I am being forced to perform labour that benefits someone else, just to survive.
Thankfully, when I am done performing that labour for the day, I can come home and do what I want to do, which is play Crossout. No one is forcing me to play Crossout, and nothing I do in the game is “work” to me. It’s really not comparable to slavery at all.
because in order to get the items you want, you are forced to complete challenges, many of which i see as nothing more than a chore. such as helicopter battles, or other sorts of challenge.
these are chores, and i dont want to be forced to do them just to get my items.
No one said you need to do every single challenge. I never do any challenge that I don’t want to do.
But it sounds more like you see playing the game at all as some kind of hardship that is being forced on you.
If you play the game at all, you will acquire resources. If you play more aspects of the game, you will get more resources. Are you expecting to acquire resources just for posting on the forum?
And again, this is not slavery: you can do literally anything else with your time, and suffer no consequences.
Strife is like taking a piss; it’s hard to stop, once you get started.
if you want to get the optimal amount of resources in a reasonable amount of time you will probably want to do every single challenge. i want to be rewarded for playing, not for completing arbitrary “challenges”
I disagree. MGs at any powerscore can take care of any build in the game. Its not necessarily easy to do, but they can definitely fight anything.
MGs… not always was that the case, tho.
I think, if memory serves me right, was around the fav cab was nerfed, and SGs as a all started to be nerfed, then and only then the MGs started to climb to what they are today also thanks to buffs ( arbiters e.g.) and changes in armour penetrations, the resistance values of certain parts appear in the game, more or less around there.
Before that they were as hopeless vs cannons or SGs as any other weapon, they used to take too long to chew a plow or a Steppenwolf / scavenger part, they always lost vs a SG.
MGs have always been the most versatile, and for me the easiest.
I’m not necessarily going to be racking up the MVPs in every scenario, but I know I’ll usually get at least a decent score.
But I’ve played them so much I’m bored of them.
Ive never been SoL against SGs, never in all my 6 years playing. The only time MGs simply couldnt dance against the competition was the Typhoon stunlock meta. And even then i managed to win more than I lost, with MGs. Its really just down to the individual at that point. Was it easier or harder at times? Yes. Automatically going to lose? Nope. Minotaur hammerfall bricks back in 2019? Easy. Booster SGs in 2023? Harder, still doable. Nowadays? These dumb heavy 87 kph bricks as too easy to deal with. Dracos, SGs, doesnt matter. Theyre too slow to dictate the battle vs my MG wheel builds
Yeah loosing power because someone touches you is pretty silly.
they just apply a shitton of friction and you can never move out the way because thats the only way the developers know to play the game
From me was the other way around, i lost every single duel with SGs, they could smash my entire front before i got time to punch through their armour, and one day i switch to SGs and it was more rewarding and they fitted better with my playstyle.
