Groups of general chat bullies

Seems to be topic that is avoided. Groups of of organized general chat bullies verbally attacking and insulting players with derogatory terms and spreading lies, and getting ignored, and eventually replied to.
Organised, on daily basis they act in this way, and it seems to go unnoticed by the general chat moderators, but eventually, the victim reacts after a prolonged attack, and gets muted. And is told to ignore the attacks, and is muted.

I think your supposed to go into that rules section for it.

I don’t know what you mean, why would i go to the rules section?

There’s a section to make reports and file appeals against rule violations.

Oh that. No, i dont want to report, because im not sure it would do any good if i did report anything.
And appeals, again, im not sure if it would do myself any good.
So instead, i just want to spark a real conversation about the general chat, and the unchecked nature of, profanities used, and sexual and racial harrassment, from individuals but specifically the seemingly organised groups of bullies and their friends, and the lack of repercussions and consistency of repercussions.

I would just file the report regardless. I know they have internal lists they keep from what mods have told me in the past. There are people in the game that do have nearly permanent chat bans.

Just happens to be in the same section 6 days is pretty short so I’d just wait it out. They do sometimes work though. Just something to be aware of if you ever get a longer ban.

That’s probably fine though you should know in the forum rules calling out players for it by username and posting clips of the conversation goes against the forum rules. It just tends to make more drama. You can kind of get around it by editing out their names before posting the screen cap if you really have to post an example.

This tends to depend on training and experience if any is given to the mods. That varies from game to game. Chats can also be hard to follow too, the mod that spotted the profanity might have little awareness of the rest of the conversation and how it is connected. This is especially true if they didn’t witness the entire order of the conversation. In some cases they might not even realize it’s connected.

This can be really subjective in acceptability within group interactions. Cringe comments might be hilarious banter to some while horribly offensive to others at the same time. Generally I’d say don’t feed the trolls or get lured in by their bait as your own response might be the trap you fall into yourself.

Some get passed by but some violations generally will get enforced regardless just for the age rating on the game. Profanity tends to be an example of that but with the number of slang and lone words that exist not everything will be on the radar.

Things like harassment of any kind can’t really be sorted out unless there’s a clear record of it reported. Simply saying it’s harassment often doesn’t convey enough of the situation even if someone desires it not to happen.

I find your cause to be noble. it ain’t just a general chat issue either. iI can confirm that is is organized harrassment of various individuals including myself. Hell!, they even were in general chat trying to trick me into an rp to try to label me a child predator for a second time now, and it’s disgusting to think that the staff refuse to do anything about these issues, even when presented with actual proof, screenshots, the works. If I am getting gaslit by the community manager himself, imagine what that implies about the others, and how terrible the rest of them truly are.

I’ve said many times in the past that “Toxicity would be the end of this game” and look where we are at now. Seal clubbers are literally asking for clubbing advice on the subreddit, harassment groups backed by actual Gaijin Moderators remaining unpunished for literal years, and even any name unless it’s your immediate friends group is not to be trusted under any circumstances. I was indeed right in the end about what I’ve said, and it holds up even to this day, unless something fundamental changes to reverse its course.

This game truly had gone rotten to its very core. It’s such a shame.

Thank you, i was beginning to think it was just me, right down to the exact same kind of gaslighting.

The community manager isn’t who you’re supposed to report it to. You want to report it to the game op. You can find a link for them in the rules section I listed above.

Hello @thLongnGrindinRd,

Repeated harassment, especially when carried out by coordinated groups, is inexcusable. No one should be put in such a situation.
Your concerns about derogatory comments and persistent targeted behavior are legitimate, and it is important that they be taken seriously.
At the same time, I want to reassure you that reporting remains one of the most effective ways we have to intervene. Reports provide moderators with verifiable information and logs. Even if you have doubts, your report can directly contribute to the implementation of appropriate measures and protect other players who may be victims of similar treatment.
If you decide to file a report, we will review it carefully, examine the evidence, and ensure that it is handled in a timely manner.

Best regards,
