I find it hard to understand some posts because there’re too many abbreviations and colloquialisms related to the game ,which are hard for non english speakers to understand.So would you guys please show me some abbreviations or colloquialisms and their meanings here?

there are some common colloquialisms or abbreviations:
- PS: power score
- Brick: square tanky vehicle
- Dog: short range vehicle (flamethrowers, etc)
- Build: a vehicle
i cant think of any other ones

I’ll tell you that most Chinese speak english like this ,just because the school here taught us to do it like this.

I live in China right now and I am Chinese.
You are right ,China does have a firewall which bans natives to visit the websites such as Facebook ,Google ,Youtube and X(Twitter).But the rest are still available like steam ,gaijin and even Github.
What’s more , although there is a firewall ,Chinese can still visit websites above by using network boosters which we call it “ladder”(help us climb over the firewall).Otherwise, you won’t be able to see any Chinese on Internet.
In conclusion, the firewall is not as strict as you thought, and we can still play foreign games with you guys though the ping may be a bit higher.(around 200ms)
why is there even a firewall if you can casually go on websites? why dont they simply allow youtube or google
That’s because you don’t know the situation here in China.
The purpose of setting this firewall is to protect the network safety and prevent some bad information from getting into the residents’ minds.You cannot deny that Chinese Internet is much more safe and friendly to growing kids whose opinions of value are easily affect by the unhealthy contents online.(Such contents are strictly banned here on the internet. I don’t mean that all the websites banned by the firewall are unhealthy, but I do hear that there are some on X indeed.)
So the government set the firewall.
As I said above ,we can skip the wall by using network boosters.But it doesn’t mean everyone know how to do that and the wall is useless. It does have its value.
A 7 year old child here may be able to surf online and play video games, but it is next to impossible for it to pass the “Real name authentication”which requires your ID card and facial recognition to make sure you are over 18 and use a booster to visit banned foreign websites.
What’s more, many of the netizen in China are called “Cyber illiteracy”by those who can use computer skillfully.It refers to the netizen who knows very little about the Internet, and only knows watching short videos and play some stupid games on mobile.
(That’s because they don’t know how to use computers at all!)

So, you can’t expect those “Cyber illiteracy” to get through the firewall.
As a result ,the wall is useful.It not only provides a good online environment for the kids ,stopping the stupids from getting wrong informations and then make trouble out of nothing ,but also allows people who demands for foreign resources get what they need.
(I am also a student now ,all above is only my personal opinion ,don’t take it too seriously )

Never mind him. He likes making up conspiracy theories and projecting them on others. I think he hears voices in his head that he doesn’t recognize, and sometimes they argue. He probably doesn’t even know who he’s talking to.

i can see how the firewall is useful, i have heard the chinese internet is wholesome compared to the west. but even though it stops fake information from spreading, it also stops real information as well from those who want it

it was more of a joke since theres lots of bots posting here. i dont think “ai” does that, its just spam bots. you asking what things mean kind of fits the clichée.
thats cool, im sure we can have many interesting discussions. this forum exists because the developers dont want to talk to the playerbase anymore, so this is truly a safe space, there is 0 censorship here because nobody cares, unless one of us goes and complains to moderators.

no it isnt, this is at best an easy excuse. the ccp heavily censors the internet in china because they fear for their legitimacy if people can read everything. its a move to keep china firmly in the ccps hands.
you might be right that a censored internet is more child friendly etc. but you dont get to read lots of true and important information about reality which dont serve this purpose at all but rather the purpose described above.
dont you think its problematic that youre basically doing something illegal by using ways around the firewall as youve described? i do, you should be allowed to make your own decisions on what to read or watch without getting incriminated.
