Hover players aren’t checking the list of enemy names for the guy with mammoths. Play scorps, astras, kaiju, tsunamis etc and they will check for your name and avoid giving you any shots. I guarantee you. Its easy to hit a hover flying in a straight line at top speed, congrats man.
If a hover wants to out maneuver you, there is NOTHING you can do to impede him without crippling him. Which is very difficult with spaced armor meta. (Crying in 760dmg Ghost Astra hitting for 56 damage) Hovers do not suffer from acceleration penalties when using multiple movement keys. Strafe diagonally while steering from a standstill with anything but hovers and ur going nowhere. Meanwhile hovers slingshot up to 95 as normal.
I don’t find that other strafing parts have any problems with diagonals anymore. In fact, it feels like augers and omniwheels accelerate faster in diagonal directions now than they do when only going in one direction.
And all of the other strafing parts can stop quicker than hovers.
The omni actually speed up more when you use two key movement. They lose speed when you swap from two to one key (roughly about 20KMH as they reorient directional speed). The bulk of the issue with how well they do it is the movement part power drain the lower the better.
Other than trying to move them towards a more congested map area I’d generally agree. The spaced armor I think is key to a lot of the issues. I’m starting to be curious if the hesitancy to do anything about it is related to what else uses it commonly though such as spider builds.
Unfortunately there isn’t much that can be done for spaced armor right now. I think it would be nice if cannons could have multiple types of ammo so a player could swap between them. Such as from a normal ballistic round to something akin an air burst fragmentary round that acts like a long distance shot gun blast. (I don’t mean this as a suggestion for premium ammo either. Just alternative ammo boxes that are craft able.)
i do wish that typhoons had their old perk back of disabling an opponent for a second. they were a good counter to most builds especially dogs and, most of the time, hovers.
astra?? isnt that the weapon thats the epic version of the scorpion?
movement keys? what are you talking about? are you referring to pc? on ps4 where i play i can barely control a hover with my controller cause it acts so wonky. i dont know how some people manage to control their hovers so well.
i thought their max speed was 90? does a motor bring it to 95?
i dont think this would be beneficial in any way. honestly i feel that it would just flood the game and what would it take to make this ammo? possibly more scrap, possibly uranium as ammo in the modern day uses uranium tipped ammo to. that would make it unnecessarily expensive and youd need to make those shots count or your wasting alot of money. spaced armor is an issue but i dont think it warrants having multiple ammo types.
It wouldn’t take anymore time then building a rare or epic ammo box does now. Like I said I’m not talking about making premium ammo for each individual shot. Just a base line item that lets you swap ammo types in and out for various conditions and effects. I.e. it would just be labeled “air burst ammo box” or “incendiary ammo box” vs just “ammo box”. The player could then switch between them as they desired.
That’s the effects of the cabin power drain hovers aren’t immune to it but theirs are low enough that they can get away with more. If the omni were 2% lower the upgraded ones from the bp wouldn’t experience much of it either. The meat grinders are too high in that regard for it to be fixed with such a small change. They are kind of like the bigfoot of the omnidirectional movement parts. If they lowered the power drain they would be more responsive but would still have that acceleration hesitation.
I really see no reason for this to happen. EVERY bullet weapon in the game overkills for 7 blocks or until it runs out of damage. Assemblers, Spectres, Whirls, you name them. I can’t see a good reason why Targem would fiddle with that shit for a single weapon.
I downloaded this build and played it for a while earlier this year. It might be the most destructive build in the game. I had an epic match on the Fortress map where I burned a whole team down with this spider. Since that time I’ve sold my fourth Porc for some Firebugs, but this build is one of the things I miss.
Thanks for posting these builds. Its always fun to comb Xbox Crossout Exhibition to see what you’ve come up with.
I like to run a 3 Porc Hadron hover of my own build with the Flash on top with an undermounted Porc and two Porcs on the outer edges. This is a pretty good build. I use Icarus IV with a Colossus and the battlepass Hadron. I would like a +power, - weight Hadron, as I could then run a Cheetah, with Icarus VII hovers, and get much more speed out of my build. I also want to get my Flash fused for +range as I think this would be a fantastic addition.
My second Porc build is a Hadron on Hermits with 3 Porcs in the front and a Flash on top. This is a good build as well. It drives about 82 with decent acceleration. I use it in levi wars when we need ground builds to run into sausage levis.
I haven’t run Kapkans since I had several bad clan wars matches in July with Interceptor Flash firedogs, and I rage sold them.
