Hover strength

The last PvE guy who decided to argue in a balance thread was like “Docker best common cab, I can bring a Reaper on it in raid and not get pushed around”. Don’t be that guy please.

You might not give the slightest f*cks about CW, but if you paid attention to how this game is built, you’d realise balancing it should be the priority and PS should be used to balance PvP from there.

That does not have anything to do with me and I don’t care about that incident in the slightest.

Balancing cuckwars? This topic is about hovers.

No, it should not. CW can die out for all I care. Majority of the playerbase spends their time in missions. And what majority wants — development does.

Now quit bothering me with your obsolete mode and go back to hovers discussion. Stop derailing the thread.

I agree here 100%

This is a concept that many will have a hard time understanding unless they have experienced it.
I feel that more casual players feel like you are dismissing them as players when you start mentioning CWs.

This is far from the truth.

When you need a pipe fixed you call a plumber, when you need an engine repaired you call a mechanic.

This would be the same thing with Crossout.

CW guys have turned this game into a job. The higher in the ranks a clan is the better their tools and skills are dialed in. If you study this group of players you will find some of the most broken things in game.

I would like to add one more group, still part of clans, and that would be 4 man - low/mid PS death squads. The guys that build a team just to demolish a PS bracket.

If they could study both those groups and adjust from that info the game would balance much faster.

You would still need to keep balancing, but it would be better IMO

Makes sense to me. That’s where the system is stressed the most, pushed to the limits, and the flaws become apparent.

Agreed.
People talk about how Clan Wars players exploit flaws and mechanics in the game, but I actually disagree. The guys exploiting things are the guys bringing high tier weapons to low power score play.

CW and high powerscore PVP matches are where we should expect to see the best weapons, play tactics, and build styles available… no holds barred. There’s little room for error or even variety there. It is where the mechanics of the game are brought into laser focus. If this wasn’t the case, you would see a very wide variety of builds there.

Lower power score builds give you a lot room to experiment. Many more weapons, play tactics, and build styles are effective lower down. Unfortunately, this includes morons slapping relics on 9k builds… I include the developers with their ridiculous OP bots in that.

That’s a sure fire way to drive away new players.

I understand but disagree personally. I loved playing against hovers and legendary/relic weapons at lower PS when I didnt have the inventory to play at higher PS. It broke up the monotony and gave me different challenges to face. It prob kept me from burning out before I could make CW worthy builds

The existing game mechanics are unlikely to prevent this from happening, and can only go so far as to adjust the balance, such as lowering their rotational speed so that their rotational speed is affected by more weight

I agree. The first time I encountered high level weapons as a new player with lower level gear, the game suddenly got a lot more interesting.
And the diversity of mid PS is what makes it great. Take away the legendary and relic items, and it would be just as stale and predictable as ultra-high PS.

I wish I knew what direction they are planning on taking this game. They have overhauled major parts of the game (most all of them?) recently, and I think the possibilities under the new parameters is much wider. Like Boats? More flying things? New game modes?

Even the battle pass system changes every cycle. The game is in flux, and I wonder where they are headed, because it doesn’t feel like we reached the destination.

I think the next update will be interesting. Now that they have all these new mechanics in the game, what are they planning on doing with it? I am curious.

Bubblepasses :ok_hand:

Even I lost my hopes for that one… we’ll be happy if soccer/ravens ever return.

In my advice to developers, I wrote something about favoring different weapon pairings

All I have to say about Soccer: They had better release Bright Greenery paint this year. It is 10k on Xbox. I have Oakwood, Turf, Azure Surf and black and pink. There’s about 4 paints to complete the set.

Now, what I enjoy versus what I think it’s good for the game are two different things. Personally, I still enjoy that, and that’s part of why I enjoy lower powerscore matches.

However, if you play those matches much, you’ll eventually see someone complaining about how mismatched they feel the game is timing into battle with a bunch of maces and getting slaughtered by some fool with Porcs at 7k.

I don’t think that’s good for player retention… And if there’s a real problem with the game, that’s probably the biggest. I think everyone in here has recommended this game to friends only to have them play a few times and nope right out if it.

Why did your friend stop playing, do you know?

Getting slaughtered by OP builds in PVP the second they got past level 30 with the Engineers was one reason I heard a few times.

One of my co-workers, who is an avid gamer, explained getting wasted by some “flaming cans” as soon as he got into real PVP matches. Those were porcs, I explained. He asked when he would get them.

“Probably never” was apparently the wrong answer.

Another was the bizarre and seemingly nonsensical story mode the game starts out with. It has very little to do with the actual game. I don’t know if you remember it, but it’s a series of story mode missions that take place in the Awakenings map.

Telling people “no no, it gets better” didn’t seem to help.

Not many people complain about porcs, just because a lot of them use hovers that no worry about rolling porcs.
Imagine no hovers in game, then porc would be overpowered in each game. (i didnt played long once, and i know there were no hovers before, but i cant recall if there were porcs and so powerfull as now)

Now IMO they should allow porc hit hovers when its below them, and nerf general damage of porc.

But well, its just my opinion, but its also one of reasons why hovers are so good.

Tell me more about how you massively enjoyed getting sealclubbed by four 4k PS hover scorp colossus again and again when you had three Vectors on common wheels, lmao.

The game is better than it used to be in that respect tho. Don’t really understand the people complaining about 10k PS relics or stuff like that >.>
