I know none of this would ever happen, but if they got rid of any omnidirectional movement party, they’re have to get rid of all of them.
I think adding them led to unforeseen circumstances where balancing them versus the other movement Parts is very difficult. Not just hovers, but augers and Omni Wheels as well.
It is especially difficult to make tracks balanced in my opinion. They are just at a severe Mobility disadvantage compared to everything else, and no amount of durability for them is going to fix that.
I am always looking at these things in relation to how they exist in real life, or at least their closest counterparts that exist in real life. Augers are incredibly slow and don’t turn well in real life. Legs are incredibly slow and fragile in real life. I’ve only seen concepts of omni wheels, but they are also very slow and look incredibly fragile in real life. Hovers, which we really only see in very small aircraft and drones, are both incredibly fragile and unstable. If you have ever flown a grown, you know a slight breeze makes them very unstable. No hover in this game should be able to Nerf a Canon shot without being sent reeling across the map out of control. If any of that were introduced to the Omni directional movement Parts in this game, the balancing would not only make more sense, but be easier for the developers, I would think.
