Lol hovers dont need a nerf, you need a buff
While i dont like hovers, i think theyre needy, but, they belong in crossout, thats why they are in xout, and, tho a nerf wood be nice, it wont matter. Adapt. Get good, whotever.

dude i use blockchains… fricken blockchains against hovers and i do fine lol. i really dont get what hes so upset about.
indeed. talking to him is like talking to a brick wall. apparently his opinion is the only thing that matters. ![]()
yeah thats a bit to far.
I’ll take ya’lls advice. I will work towards getting op fking hovers. Added to my favorites tab. Might take 6 months tho.
But which is better? The faster one we can craft?
Or the higher tonnage one we can’t craft. (Would take tripple the time i think)
But yeah I might as well join the club.
If the devs don’t see an issue with hovers cheesing the system and having every advantage, i might as well join the op club…
But i swear to god If they nerf hovers after i get them i’ll be pissed. But i’m the most nerfed in the game for some reason it seems. Cant join cc anymore or bfu, if i wanted to play cw it wouldn’t let me. Puts me in pvp late regularly now, where i’m being attacked in spawn.
Even deep cleaned my Xbox, last thing I can try without needing a whole new next gen console…
I generally liked those better but I’m down from having 16 hovers to only 4. I hardly use them anymore unless I’m mucking about in the garage. They are interesting with light weight heli builds you kind of bounce land. It’s pretty much the only reason I have 4 left.
The craftable ones work fine too but you have to watch the tonnage more at least you can go faster though. You can get away with mixing them too.
I normally use omni, atoms, or any of the legs instead.
the icarus 4s and icarus 7s are both different and it depends which ones you want to use.
to sum it up
icarus 4s
weigh more
have less speed
have more tonnage
use more cabin power
more durability
less maneuverability
icarus 7:
higher speed
less tonnage
use less cabin power
weigh less
lower durability
more maneuverability
depends on how you like to play really.
What kinds of weapons and playstyle are you more interested in?
I have the fast hovers (but also rarely use them), because to me the appeal of hovers is their maneuverability.
But they are very delicate, and you need to be careful how you design your build so that you can still be a threat after losing some of them.
I would say if you want to play hide and seek, and take shots between zipping in and out of cover, go with the fast ones. Four of them on a light cabin should be enough for a low/mid PS sniper, but you’ll probably want more if you decide you like playing them.
The slower ones are better with DPS builds, when you need to be able to tank more damage.
The range of your weapons is a factor too: closer the range, the more durable you’ll likely want to be.
That’s one of the biggest issue with using only 4 of them. Though you can still move around with less it can drastically alter how well you can aim after losing one of them. I often see a lot of them using 5 instead similar to how people use the hidden 5th wheel concept to keep their builds from dragging when a wheel is taken off.
That’s a good question.
You can get away with more then just DPS builds but it’s a fair opinion. With the higher tonnage you can somewhat use heavier weapons as well.
Yeah, I’m assuming the Elephant hovers I’m suddenly seeing a lot of are probably using the slower hovers, and most seem to be using a five hover layout.
Some people manage to use the recoil of weapons with hovers to their advantage, but there’s a reason why you see a lot of low recoil weapons like energy guns and missiles on hovers.
You can minimize recoil by putting drop downs at the rear of the build that drop slightly lower then the hover level. So when the recoil happens it smacks the lowest part against the ground.
There is a fairly wide selection that can work well. Augmenter nail guns can work really well. The Squalls with Jubokko seem would be a new one to mess with.
I was using Triggers with Aegis and cloak on my ultra light hover heli swapping trigging the Aegis and cloak to cover the cooldowns while flying and bouncing of the ground. Mostly just picking on Spider cannons in patrol rather fun.
There’s a ton of interesting off the wall builds you can do with them though.
I was looking at using the Morgan with the cab from the next BP maybe to do a heli hover maybe. If I can over hang the Jackie in the back top it might be interesting.
I’ve done really heavy Cricket Icebox builds too If you just kind of keep out of the main fight you can kind of pubble people with those. I might try to do that again using the steppe again rather then keeping them on the meat grinders.
Even Arbs have recoil though your shots slowly get aimed up. You can kind counter balance with a 5th hover a little in the back.
Auto cannons are kind of fun as your not trying to rapidly overfire.
Lucifer and swarm are also interesting for them.
Retchers work great with them.
