Do I have to ask for forgiveness, sensei? I am apparently not smart enough to understand the genius idea, that using overused optimized-to-the-death meta somehow can have any “virtue” applied to it. Be it “humanity” or “intellgience”. Its like praising Domino Pizza as haute cuisine - yes, it is reasonably tasty and dirt cheap, but mostly because fat, carbohydrates and salt.
In a way it kinda is. Humanity is obsessed with efficiency. We like to make things more reliable and easy to use.
Crossout building is the same way.
It’s just a shame that this game has lackluster balance, wonky physics and building mechanics. Because these Meta builds are Lovecraftian abominations that are built with some crazy man logic.
I do admit the despicable crazy of the original creator has some talent requirement. But using same build form exhibition is really efficient - but not an achievement. You wouldnt praise sportsmanship of a car driver in a bycicle race, would you?
Nah probably not. Building is different for everyone.
Some people just don’t know how to build. Some don’t know how to build efficiently as they want and so they don’t. Some do know how to build but say meh, it’s already been done and download anyways. Some people just download a good craft and make their own tweaks. Some people build their own inferior rides and live with the results. Some people build their own rides religiously. Some people build the next meta because they have the talent, eye for it, or sometimes just serendipity. Some people build rides so unique that they are the only ones who can even play them. Some people build 1 of 1 builds that are so hard to play efficiently that no one even tries to copy them, knowing it would be easier to learn a new language than play that way.
Most of all of that ends up the same way: Dogs, wedges, sideways hover spaced armor mattresses, spider spaced armor mattresses, cannon fodder players who act as filler most of the time. Rarely do you see something unique in the game.
