It’s not about the badges

I haven’t really surveyed the new mini-pass, but I would expect it to give out a grip of free badges, just like the last one did. Those resource crates, were busting them out pretty liberally, plus they were included in the regular progression of BP levels.

I could be wrong, and I think it would suck if they now eliminated badges from being freely earned through the battle passes. Otherwise, I’m not sure I’m going to humor complaints about the lack of badges at this point.

I don’t care for the clan stuff they added, but since they brought back badges for solo players, and if they continue to make them a free part of battle passes, and keep loading those crates with them, I don’t see badges as being a very contentious issue anymore…I need to go check that new BP to make sure they are still offering free badges for the grind.

I’m more concerned with how the game actually runs at this point (balance and matchmaking, etc). Tracks and wheels might need more love?

The issue with earning badges through the battle pass, is, you are now paying for them. As so many have said the game is now massively monetized. If you are paying for the Premium Subscription you should be getting a little more then being able to earn a little more scrap, ect. I was able to earn over a 1000 coin a month from getting badges. I will not pay for coin packs.

Things are slowly changed so people forget about all the changes that have happened. Remember when Crosscrowns appeared? the moment they brought those out the Premium Subscription cost more. So not only does Premium Subscription now cost more, you are getting less and less.

The market got nerfed by Gaijin controlling the prices, all Legendary and Relic weapons almost doubled in price shortly after.

30 days Subscription, if i remember correctly, was £9.99. To get 30 days now, you need 120 Crosscrowns, surprise surprise you can’t buy a 120. So you either buy 2 x 70 Crosscrowns at £5.99 or 175 Crosscrowns for £13.99. This way, no matter which way you go, you’re left over with Crosscrowns, So what do people think? I’ll have to buy more to use them up.

Funny how it’s 175 Crosscrowns for £13.99, 5 Crosscrowns short of 180 which could at least buy 30 days + 7 days subcription. Greed, Greed, Greed, Greed, and more Greed

The badges from BPs are usually available to people who didn’t buy the BP. You just need to do the challenges.
(Apologies if this has changed and I didn’t notice, but I’m pretty sure I just got some badges from the last mini-BP, and I never buy those ones)

It was much more expensive to buy your way to good gear before they launched the BP system. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves.

Surprise! We are almost at the end of the year. They do a 50% off a year sale.

Just wait.

The point was why a win matters over just performing well, badges are one, the other is losing sucks, it’s not fun.
Here’s one of my wins

Notice how I handle 2 players at once. So as you can see, there’s no reason I should have 2 wins out of 15 matches, ever. And here’s the thing I wasn’t the only person on the team there where other solos as well, that lost 13 matches, all so the clans can have fun.

I do believe wheels need some love, they should be the fastest movement parts. Omni directional and hovers shouldn’t be able to crab walk faster then I can drive straight forward. Wheels should add to cabin speed.
It really shows when you try and self destruct and they just pull away from you

No, you are not, actually. They are a free item in the BPs.

Yes, indeed. It really does.

I’ve never bought Premium, but you’re totally right about Crosscrowns being garbage. I hate the way they run that shenanigan. It feels pretty dirty to me.

Um. You put this on yourself. You already thought it was worth buying whatever you bought the crowns for. Just consider that part bought and paid for as a single transaction. So what if you got some left, you already have what you thought was worth the money. The fact you feel the need to spend them is a self imposed necessity. (just trying to help cope with left over crowns if you buy something)

My apologies, I thought you only got them if you brought the battle pass. However, why should they be part of a battle pass. Great for those that don’t buy the battle pass and i’ve no problem with that, but why include free item in to a paid battle pass. Do you see what i’m trying to say. Greed, giving less items for a pack thats paid for. Plus the Badges you get within the battle pass does not add up to 2500+ per week you used to get.

I think you missed the point i was trying to make. Whilst i try to work it out so i get almost a full year of premium with no coins left over, some people, will think "I (meaning they) need to buy more Crosscrowns to be able to use up the other coins I (meaning they) have left over. So the point i was making its all about monetization to the extreme. Everything that is being done is to keep people playing for longer and longer for less rewards. Everyone is also paying more for less, and unless people are willing to realise this, things will only get worse.

im guessing, if anything, to make up a bit for the lack of missions in solo players who dont join clans. theres only really 2 types of missions that solo players can do if they dont do pvp and thats the dailies which count towards one of the weeklies, and the weekly scrap mission from patrol vs ai. i think they made the badges free because it wasnt fair to put them as a paid item as we already get them for free doing the weeklies.

i have noticed that there are less items in the battlepass and the 150 levels is a bit… absurd… because someone can just pay for another fused legendary and get 2 from the pass. i wouldnt mind so much if we had a new mode put in or a new raid or something thats permanent. but i dont think we will get that. i hope they change their minds and put something in because its been years since a new mode was added in that wasnt a timed event.

I understood your point. I even used your own quote to agree with you at the end of my post.

Did you understand my point? Players do not have to get that counter back to an exact zero.

Reality Formula: Is X amount of premium time worth X amount of money to X player.
Any left over crowns are inconsequential, because payers still incur the cost to reach the minimum threshold for purchase. Spending more in order to not “waste extra” is where it becomes a player blindly falling into spent cost fallacy.

Sorry, my fault, misunderstood your first reply, your “reality formula” makes more sense. Totally get you now.
