Kings really suck

i just saw my king do 24 and 25 damage to an enemy that was right near it… ummm… what?
why did kings get nerfed so hard?
was this intentional?

Probably because they are an annoying troll weapon. Mine do more damage than that but it’s not spectacular.
The only thing they are useful for now is with a Hadron cabin to speed up slow firing weapons

i mean… did they reduce the blast radius on them? cause it seems they have been nerfed very heavily.

Tbh they’ve been crap for a while. even players running 4 or 5 of them isn’t scary. Definitely not a useful weapon anymore.

I still see a lot of people running them in PVP and even CC.
Usually with a Kapkan or two.
Some people do really well with them, but many don’t seem to accomplish much.

They got nerfed bad.

i can tell, seems the damage is even worse now then before. i use my single king as a defensive thing when im being harassed by breaker bots and reaper bots, the problem now is that they do… nothing… the only thing they are there for is just… the reload speed. i use them on my jotun build cause it helps alot with the reload speed and it would help do some damage against bots before but now… hell even a feather being thrown at them would do more damage!

dude a lego would do more damage then them!

dunno why they still cost so much… i mean yeah they are a pack only item but still…

Because of the Hadron cabins perk, pair 1 with, say, an avalanche… 1000 damage and a sub 6s shot time… Better than any reload module, also stacks with reload modules.

The only use Kings have is as a reload booster on Hardon builds

they would be pretty infuriating if they did actual damage like a normal weapon

yeah thats the main reason i have mine. makes me shoot my jotuns stupidly fast. still though if thats the only thing keeping them at that price range then thats just sad…

they are supposed to be a LAND MINE though. so enemies would need to pass by them to deal damage. bots are… fairly easy… to lead them into but land mines are SUPPOSED to do high amounts of damage because they are a literal explosive. i think they smashed the nerf button on them far to hard. also if your a player and get lured over them then thats your fault… then again i seen people run these stupid skinner builds and just drag people over them…

that seems to be their only use now. the damage on them was nerfed so badly. i cant even use my king to defend myself on my jotun build anymore it looks like…

I have a king build that sometimes does good sometimes does crap…its 4 kings and some boosters with the cockpit cab for the extra damage when u boost and lay mines…40% bonus damage. Its hit and miss and not that much hp on the build as it doesn’t hold too much weight with that cab.

But yeah…mines aint what they was!

but dude, 25 damage… i could sneeze and do more damage then that! :joy:

I agree… I think kings would really gain from an overhaul. Personally I would like if their cooldown was massively increased so placing them has to be meaningful. They could have a perk that increase their reload if they are detonated by an enemy to reward consistency and to punish players that chase your minelayer build.
As cd is nerfed damages could be buffed accordingly and hardron king builds would burn in hell where they deserve to be (I say that as I have a fused hadron and a king and multiple builds using this “synergy”). For the hadron, I feel it will still be competitive without king but if it isn’t it wouldn’t be hard to just give it a 5% extra reload or something like that to make up for it.

Man i just wish that holding the button would make them poop out continuously, but no you have to time it right if you want to drop them out fast.

i wanted them to make a skin for the king thats just a toilet / urinal and it spits out exploding urinal cakes

maybe with a fart sound thrown in for comedic effect :joy:

It would be cool if we could switch between a bouncing betty type mine and a land mine, something that’s actually anti-vehicle. Would probably be more important to blow wheels, frames and modules than tops of builds. Maybe we just need a new mine all together.

Doesn’t it basically do that already?

No, the games mines are bouncing Betty anti-personnel, kind of odd considering we’re here to destroy vehicles which should be a land mine.

Dove mines stick to the ground.
