Ok Devs youve had your fun ideas, but it doesnt seem to work out in your dying game.
Its high time you merge the playerbase from the mech and helicopter mode with normal mode.
So we can all enjoy much less wait times and paranoid watching at the skies.
no
no
remove helicopter from game, and nerf a lot robotic legs, then can do.
Honestly, the best situation (imo) would be to have 4 modes:
- Copters only
- Mech legs only
- Wheels/tracks/hovers only
- Any and all movement parts (if properly balanced)
This should satisfy everyone. The queue times might be an issue, but heyâŚ
Iâm pretty sure that those of us that actually like playing mech legs and/or aircraft prefer to play matches mixed with the normal ground builds.
While I appreciate that they change the game too much to put them in all PVP matches, I strongly feel that the modes that allow these movement parts should also allow ground builds, and also any combination of parts.
We need âanything goesâ modes and traditional modes.
Ideally the âanything goesâ modes would also incorporate Leviathans, but that might just be my dream.
I picture a PVP mode with no capture points, where one member of each team is driving their own leviathan, and the goal is to destroy the opposing leviathan. Teammates can run any movement part.
I think the auto-aim of leviathans would be a reasonable counter to any advantages that aircraft have.
More modes would be nice, but it would be foolish to think that long queues isnât a huge issue.
I think itâs safe to say that I enjoy the game more than most people on this forum, but even I wonât keep playing if I have to wait more than a minute on a regular basis. I would definitely stop playing if queue times got up to two minutes.
The only exception to this would be a longer and bigger campaign mode. If a match lasts half an hour, I will tolerate a longer wait.
This sounds like CW: Leviathans but more fun. And Iâm not against it, my levi has been sitting in my garage in an unarmored state because I have no real use for it.
It breaks my heart that the only things we can do with our leviathans is send them out on Invasions and use them in CW.
At the very least, we should be able to watch replays of the Invasions they participate in.
I think they updated the matchmaker with the last update and itâs not working out very well. I also think this means they can improve it by unscrewing whatever they did.
IMO, the matchmaker is behaving remarkably different than it was just prior to the update, and is certainly worse.
I run around in test mode and kill off my visiting friends with mine. Its amusing but outside of drones and some modules you donât have much control over what itâs attacking. Itâs still slightly fun.
Honestly, if you workout the numbers you should be able to have nearly the same parts numbers for levi vs levi at near 3-4 players as it would be for 8 vs 8 players. I think with 3vs3 it came out to around 20 parts less per player but itâs been a while since I reviewed the numbers.
Itâs not even that complicated.
We DONâT NEED the same game mode for each material⌠merge scrap, wires and batteries into one and then you either get a bit of each at the end or pick your preference⌠thatâs wait times and properly balancing improved by 1/2 right there.
Do the same for raids, just have easy, medium and hard and again pick between copper and plastic/electronics accordingly.
Iâm one who actually does enjoy the leg/helicopter mode but absolutely no way should they be incorporated into all modes. For me legs should be taken out of raids as well. Keep them segregated.
THEN start working on other things
There are some missions in the game center that let you use leviathans. You can play them against your friendsâ levis or setup the battle where itâs you in a levi vs your friends on the other team using ground or copter builds. You can even assign bots to use levis also, and can have up to 8 players per team, all using levis if you want to.
- Wonât get played, the aim mechanics for dogfighting sucks, especially with single shot, and bots would just end up owning everyone with outrageous cannon/plasma shots. Would just be a feeding ground for zero skill Caucasus, homing rocket and drone builds at best
- No objection, I like legs just canât be bothered with a serious build for the 1 game mode were frankly hovers behave as they should and are way more fun. Would be nice to have a reason though.
- Yes definitely need to keep this going as the base pvp game.
- this made me laugh⌠balanced properly
I had the same thought in the past, but some forum members said that it basically already works that way.
Meaning that while I might have entered a wires match, some people on my team might actually be playing for scrap or batteries.
I donât know for sure that it works that way, but others have said theyâve confirmed it with people they know who were playing the same match.
But I do think we probably donât need five different raids going at all times.
Itâs actually more worrying if they already merge them, player base is in a lot worse place than I originally thought.
I think next time I play Iâll put a poll out in each match and see what comes back.
Well after about 10 matches not a single person bothered to answer⌠player base really is a bunch of asshats!
the only distinction between these is the reward you get at the end
Scrap, wires and batteries are one pool. Before asking stupid request, get more knowledge about the game what you âplayâ
Scrap, wires and batteries were in a mixed lobby years ago. Quite likely they have been one and the same mm pool since the introduction of wires and batteries. I didnt bother to check then but did so in 2021 iirc.
If you think about it, why would you seperate them? Theres no point to it. What they shouldve done though is allow each group member to select a ressource they want to earn. But they couldnt be bothered.
Thats kind of what he did, potty mouth.
Yeah because you for some reason just like to play the op movement parts. Its not because theyre op, its just more fun for some other reason.
Do it and finally kill this game, we all know deep inside of us it needs to die.
Huh? I feel like you havenât been reading my other posts about arcade mode.
For one thing, when I play arcade mode, I usually play wheeled builds, and I find them more effective in that mode than helicopters or mech legs. Fast close range wheeled builds are best for grabbing every capsule that gets dropped, and thatâs how you win those matches. Wheels are always more fun for me, and I play the game to have fun.
But I do like variety, and I donât care much about winning, so occasionally I play helicopters, and have been building some more mechs lately too.
No matter what movement part Iâm playing, I prefer them to be in matches mixed with all the others. Mechs look better when there are cars to provide a sense of scale. Helicopters are more interesting to play when you have to pay attention to both other aircraft and ground vehicles. And driving ground builds is more exciting for me when I have to pay attention to the sky and the ground.
Helicopters can get a lot of kills, but get immediately targeted by bots, and arenât great for grabbing capsules. Mechs are easy to spot behind cover because theyâre so tall, and theyâre also easy to knock over.
However, Iâm not sure how balance would be if all movement parts were allowed in normal PVP. I can definitely see why some people wouldnât want that. I definitely support keeping traditional PVP available with only ground movement parts.
Wow, be more salty. Also, âgame what you play?â Itâs game THAT you play. Get more knowledge about the language that you âspeakâ before trying to make a point. (Yes I can be a salty asshat too!)
