Well it’s kind of free blueprints as you couldn’t fully use those spots as you wanted before. It depends really on how you look at it though. I’m happy to take those spaces as slots regardless though.
The only worry I have is people will quickly fill them and then not have a spot open for say build competitions and similar events which require a workspace.
They are in the current brawl (last crate in the rewards) and in the one before last had the same crate as last reward.
I think they really should bring down the cost of making the disks though. Without a coupon it cost 75 coins beyond the actual material costs. Or reduce the amount of disks needed per space.
Ya, give us an inch, and we’ll take a mile. Soon we’ll need “Mythical” tier weapons, as the Overton Window of this game keeps climbing, stationed above the same loyal veteran player inventories, year after year. We are never satisfied.
Aren’t they kinda doing that with the current brawls rewards? We’re kind of jaded becase for us it takes 3-5 expansions to get a new slot or +25 inventory space, but for new players that is a pretty massive gift.
I do think it’s hilarious that they’re going all “guys this will be a MASSIVE change!” over that tho. Gotta hype what you can in this game, I guess… Am I hyped rn? No, but the very light tingling I can feel is more than what the annoucement of yet another BP will ever make me feel at this point.
lol, I still get more excitement from a new BP, but I’m not as attached to my builds as some people are.
I just scrapped a bunch of builds after the ammo change because I didn’t feel like rebuilding them to get within CC or BfU PS limits, and didn’t feel even a pang of regret. I’m happy to just start from scratch and try out some new ideas.
Having said that, I do think they are too stingy with both storage and blueprints.
Do you have any idea how much physical space that amounts to, for them to store it all? I don’t. I don’t even have any way to know how many people actually play this game. Most name (friend) search results turn up mostly players that haven’t logged on in years, and I presume they are storing all that account information still.
Also, I’m curious to know why they don’t just allow us to store blueprints on our own hard drives. Is it a proprietary or software security issue? Do they not want us to exercise control over or manipulate what they see legally as their assets? IDK.
Regardless, I think the max-cap on storage and blueprints is plenty, but acquiring that access seems too expensive. I’m at the point now where, if I don’t buy or grind out some expansion, making any purchase, like for a battle pass or even a pack will be blocked by the game’s own limitations and boundaries.
That would make it easier to change the blueprints and give you free relics and stuff by editing the files. Would be nice, but also super easy for hackers to change.
For storage it’s likely just a change in value in a database table not a lot of space.
The blueprints could potentially be larger but I doubt it’s that large.
I think that can introduce problems of people eventually editing them offline and trying to find exploits.
There is already a check on assembly that strips parts off of builds that you don’t own. So simply adding items probably wouldn’t be one of the exploits.
I think they just cost too much atm, If they reduced the cost the extra people buying more of them might actually yield more then with them at a higher cost with less people buying them.
