That’s kind of one of the things I was thinking it might be well suited for as you end up with lots of carcasses laying around from the swarms.
Too bad you can’t Skinner a carcass.
Wait.
Can you?
I’ve never tried.
ive never tried it but… maybe you can?? i dont have a skinner myself so i wouldnt know. but even then is it worth it? the remains of the cars vanish after a certain amount of time. so if you tried bringing one with you would it even be worth the trouble?
Helĺ yes you can!
Genius!
Don’t they stay in PVP? I’ve not paid too much attention, but I think they do. I know bots vanish in patrol & raids, though. I’ll have to check next time I play.
They hang around until destroyed in PVP.
If you had a powerful enough car and enough Skinners, you could collect carcasses like another layer of armour, although I doubt we’ll ever see that in-game. Would be pretty funny though to see a moving trash heap though.
Because 1 sucks doesn’t mean 2 is balanced. Ava is a garbage gun, do you think it’d be balanced to drop it to 6 energy so people can go around with 2 on their car? At least Thyrsus deals damage past 20 meters.
Thyrsus and Charybdis are like Waltz and Stillwind. They will get some massive buff sometime after the season ends and be OP for years. Don’t salvage it. My friend salvaged his BP Waltzes (They gave you two +durability +reload +bullet speed ones) and he still regrets it.
Or, maybe Charybdis and Thyrsus willl be like Jubokku and Vulture and will never be good enough for serious use.
Who knows?
I think Thyrsus may be like Assembler and find a niche range use at 6-10k power scores.
Could be. But there’s no reason to “dismantle” stuff here either way.
I know a lot of players who dismantle every item they are not currently using. This is extremely bad policy as you never know what will happen in 6 months.
I agree with you 100% - but I can see some guys thinking “no way am I playing this for another 6 months”
6 year later…
i know what will happen…‘NERFS’
What PS are you guys at to do well?
I just started toying with it semi-seriously.
It sure can fire quick with that set up & if you put the Oppressor makes it turn very fast.
On legs, it seems too high to aim low enough to hit some targets, but I keep seeing it on legged builds.
i know what will happen…‘NERFS’
This will be the Charybdis two weeks after everyone has scrapped it.

oh! i dont play much pvp if any at all haha sorry i just assumed they vanish after a period of time.
Would be pretty funny though to see a moving trash heap though.
just a guy with a bunch of skinners on his car holding a mountain of destroyed cars on it slowly moving across the battlefield without anyone noticing. using the cars as camouflage like solid snake in his box
man id die of laughter if i seen that LOL
So I stopped enjoying it and tried two astraeuses. Although it consumes one more energy (I threw away the Averter - without loss of functionality), but the missiles are faster, they don’t need to be recharged, but most importantly, even though they have less than half the durability, I can go into a personal fight, which I can also win and, above all, I won’t lose in the first a few seconds my gun. But…
What PS are you guys at to do well?
13k for me, on the new legs in a V. Thyrsus (mounted sideways in the V) on Oma with adapter on top of the oma.
After two days of playing with astraeuses I went back to thyrsus I and I have to say that thyrsus I is more fun. While it does have the aforementioned drawbacks, it does seem to be more effective (when charged). It even happened to me about 2 times (out of hundreds of situations) that I won even in a personal one-on-one fight.
