Preformance issues with recent updates

Guess im the only one with no issues and high frame rates… :man_shrugging:

I’m only experience minor lag on PS4. A little bit more than normal, but it didn’t ruin any matches.

Today the game was finally running smoothly, I did get 2 lag spikes all in all but I’ll take 5 matches 2 lag spikes over lag spikes every match ever 3-10 seconds any day of the monthweek

Just lost connection 3 times in 10 minutes, anyone else having problems today?

im having insane amounts of my aiming reticle skipping around. its skipping back to where it was originally pointed making my shots miss… its happening alot more then it was a few days ago… i got a ps5 now so maybe i should try it on there and see if the same thing happens there to. it might be my controller but i should check to be certain.

heli mode in New Fuji snow map the game has heavy FPS stutters, everything else is ok

Ok im coming back from a break from the game and the fps stutter is horrible and i have a beefy pc What did the Devs do now? Usally it runs smoothly.

The game is awful when just starting, usually after a few minutes it returns to normal but not always.

No idea, devs doing dev things.

Tbh i would just stay away, xo is garbage and will be dead soon if this carries on.

i dont know if this helps you but it helped me…
just linking this here…

It gets good for a day or half a day, and then goes bad again for 1-3 days, rinse and repeat

The worst part is that either way you have to waste 5-10 matches to get rid of the “startup-lag” and only then can try to see if today will be a be able to play-day or teleporting around with aim turned to a randomizer-day

But for some reason, bedlam is way more stable than regular pvp, even on days when pvp is just unplayable due to these still happening issues, bedlam always works better and more stable

Fugg, try this, someone gave these instructions to me last year and it worked, and has helped a few others.

  1. Do a standard disk cleanup on the drive your game is on.

  2. Do a disk cleanup again, but this time select “clean up system files”.

  3. Open a command prompt as an administrator, and execute these lines in this order:
    3A. “ipconfig /flushdns”
    3B. “ipconfig /renew”

Restart your pc and see if there’s any improvement. As a side note, it also helps if your game(s) are on a seperate drive other than your booting drive. Windows OS from 10 onwards are always doing something on your boot drive and can slow down other resource-intensive softwares.

simply unplayable, a total mess 3 weeks after it started.

Two games today, i had to give up on the second one, it didn’t improved, not a bit , massive rubber banding, it’s just like ground hog day over and over again in short amount of time and i’m not the only one, happening to me i could see others locked in the same movements. then they jumped to a total different place in the map

What a downer, a total mess

did u switch servers?
Russia/Europe/north America ?
try diff servers…
i had probs with them…but i do find smoother servers at times…
hope that helps you…

Tried and all it did was a minimal help (instead of 5-10 matches to get rid of startup lag it took about 3) but still a bit choppy

need to try this at some point

Hmmmm…I checked out the server status just a few minutes ago (Monday, 9:30 AM ET) and this is what it showed:

But then it went back to normal when I refreshed:

So, who knows what’s going on. Maybe the whole Russian army is playing Warthunder again, and that impacts us as well since Crossout uses the same servers. Just sayin…

Another problem has popped up, I recently reacquired boosters for a good enough price and any time I activate them, the game starts to really shit and piss and shit and piss and shit itself, even if I am already through with the startup lag for X matches. Any enemies on screen + using boosters = 10 FPS stutters no questions asked, no matter how smoothly the match was going. Then when you quit boosting, back to normal performance 30-34 fps smooth as butter in the bootyhole, but use boosters again and 12 fps and so on

Day 27 of waiting for the game to be fixed and counting

I haven’t seen any performance issues with my booster builds. What you’re going through sucks.

Four things to consider.

First, is there any chance you’re using a wireless internet connection? I had ALOT of problems earlier this year while playing the game using wireless; I tried replacing the modem and indoor/outdoor cabling (TWICE), adding a wireless booster, etc. Nothing really helped, and this is after having used wireless for years already. I would be able to play the game without problems for a few hours, and then got nonstop disconnects, lag, you name it. I switched to a wired connection and everything’s been ok since.

Second, and you probably already know this, but is your game located on your boot drive? Windows 10+ is very heavy on hard drive usage, and this will affect any games running from that drive. Load them onto a second hard drive if available (and remember to cleanup and optimize your boot drive from time to time).

Third, I had to install windows 10 on my machine last year after using windows 7 for over a decade or more, because of the [sl]easy-anticheat bullshit. I spent almost a month just optimizing the damn thing, getting rid of as much of the unneeded services and bloat that I could. It was hell. You might need to do the same; even things like automatic downloads can take a hit on your machine when you’re in the middle of a game.

Lastly, you might try running the repair utility from the launcher screen. Sometimes that fixes something that was missed by a previous update.

Wishing you luck…

Yeah I have windows 10 set to not killing itself, and while I am using a wireless internet, I’ve been using a wireless even before battle passes were a thing, and up until this latest one and they have worked good enough, and tried the repair option today, and while it did offer some help, it only made a slight difference (still laggy as hell but less I literally teleport allover the place and more any time I fire my weapons the enemy activates king crimson )

They just screwed something up with the new frontier update, game was working good enough before it, not so much after it

I’d recommend just trying a wired connection as a test (if you have the hardware) and see if you notice any difference. You can always go back to wireless if it doesn’t help.

I always used wireless too until this year, but then for some reason I had to switch to a wired connection just to be able to play smoothly. Might be something with the internet provider’s equipment, who knows, but at least I can play again.

Tried with wired and nope, still same problems, game was as choppy with the wire than it is with just using wireless, still same frame drop issues. Ping was a bit more stable, but still some ping spikes every now and then, not stable enough to switch over to wired just for it over the wireless
