Relics need to be freed from behind clan walls

I have the opposite conclusion. The Developers are trying to give a casual players items that can compete in Clan wars through the battlepass system. For example, in this battlepass, an ordinary player gets the following:
A 4 energy generator, the Huginn cab with a nice cooler perk, 1 Nothung machine gun and 2 Slednir tracks. You can have a decent clan wars build by crafting 2 more Nothungs and 4 Slednir tracks. In addition, you probably need a Cheetah engine for tonnage and speed, and also another shiver and either an Onamori or a cloak. This will make an excellent all around clan wars build.

By clan wars standards needing to craft 2 legendary items and 7 purple items isn’t heavy lifting.

Once you get to clan wars, the real money starts to flow. Suddenly, in addition to your Nothung build, you need a set of Hammerfalls to push Scorpion hovers. Then you want a Beholder or Nova cab for 16 points of energy. Then you want a Flash. Then, you think: “I need a range option.” You start with a Kaiju. Once you have a Kaiju, you want a fused Humpback cabin and some legs to go with it. Pretty soon, you’re in the game $1000 and are scheming on how to get your relics fused.

I also think the developers leave some battlepass weapons, such as the Kaiju, the Avalanche and the Destructor as much stronger than your average legendary weapon to give new players a fighting chance in Clan wars.

Maximum amount of battlepass lighters without elite battle pass or level packs 1300 into getting two more nothungs, that would leave needing to pump real money for the 2 fused Sleipnir tracks, 33 levels, 30 crosscrowns per level, 990 crosscrowns

I dislike playing things everyone else has. That would bum me out a bit. Not too much if everyone only had one porc each though. That would still leave lots of build variety.

I agree with all of this. I have crafted six Sleipnirs and 2 Nothungs, and the resulting unfused build with the Huginn cabin is just fine for an entry level clan wars rig. It has excellent damage and Nothungs when mounted at the rear of the cabin 1 block lower than the cabin are surprisingly hard to hit and strip. The Nothung hitbox profile is excellent. Being able to craft a full fused set of either Nothungs or Sleipnirs through lighters is gravy.

A new clan wars player will get a huge rush out of stripping a Porcupine hover with his new Nothungs.

For me, I think Nothungs play much better on a fused power everything Nova Icarus IV hover with 2 Shivers and a Trombone. That’s what drives Clan wars. You rub shoulders with people who have insane build options, you want that, then you spend money.

On Xbox, Plastic is so expensive that you can generally make just as much money farming plastic as you would playing entry level clan wars. I tend to do raids for copper and plastic and then surf the market for cheap decor through pack sales for my electronic needs.

Also, on Xbox, there is a huge amount of money to be made by playing the market across the calendar. For example, batteries can be had for 50 something coins per 100 but the price will go to 120 during Spring mayhem. Do you like doubling your money? I do.

I also make a ton of money surfing the market for pack sales of cheap components. Stock up on stuff like the Razorback engine, the Chameleon MK1, the Maxwell, and the Twin Wheel Steering for cheap, then craft items like the Aegis at half price, then sell it at full price. I am taking a break from Clan Wars and made enough coin this Christmas Snowstorm event to buy an extra Flash.

Just a thought.

650 is what you get from BP itself through regular level-ups. And with 15 per level you’re gonna need 44 levels more to get another Nothung. So it’s basically farming another month should do the trick for set of Nothungs.

Sleipnirs you can just craft. It’s not like you really need them to be all fused.

oh yeah, i made the small caliber cannon… the special one… the one you cant craft unless its an event… i forget what its called… and it went up to 1500 coins one day and i sold one of them lol. didnt think it went that high but holy crap i made bank off that! i have another one as well. i wanted to keep it but if its selling for that high ill sell the second one to.

I’ve been saying this portion for a while but the topic never goes very well as PVP addicts don’t value it. Personally I think having very tactical raiding could be interesting.

i think its a good idea. maybe having a clan mode thats focused on a certain task and it would be similar to pvp. like the ravager event. the opposing team can play as ravagers and given special cars while the clan has to work together to accomplish a goal.

Nice! Medians are nasty but everyting is for sale for the right price.

This is why I fuse everything.

Anything that is not tied to the ground I sell.

The problem with head to head raids are there normally ends up be ways to cheese out canned results i.e. intentional losses. I like the idea of having some raids like that but it has to be done in a non-competition mode or the complaints will pile up fast.

I think clan raids would probably have to have task objectives that are team oriented. For instance if we have the standard 4 player teams maybe it takes 3 players to open a limited gate to a sniper path for a 4th player to take that gives the team a particular advantage in the next leg. This is different from the normal raid objectives which are just first come only served snags for some extra points before just allows the raid to progress. There’s different things you can get away with requiring when you have non-random players involved. If they have a large enough number of these semi-optional task objectives a team could communicate while looking at a shared map and decide what loadouts best fit the scenario and which tasks to give to each member before entering into the actual scenario.

Porcapocolypse @ 3-4k lol… awsome. I love it.

Fused Nothungs are not needed in order to compete and get ore.

Nothing fused is required to get into ore. Does it set your skill level a bit higher? yup.

Fused stuff is if you want to be in the very upper echelons. You can worry about that after putting together a build that actually can produce ore. Just my opinion.

ha

I fuse anything I find myself using repeatedly - wheels, modules, weapons cabs…

That was my experience. The players just didn’t seem to want to have fun the way I have fun… way too serious. Way too easily angered. Way too quick to blame others for a team’s demise - even if the reason we lost was some dude on the other team was amazing & schooled everyone… even if the MM led us into slaughter… “You bunch of f’n noobs! KYS!”

Yeah… nah. These guys aren’t out to enjoy themselves… miserable bunch of players, imo. They can have their unobtanium & relics. I’ll be over here actually enjoying myself.

Yeah, I’ve definitely raged at CW. I’m not proud of it.
Cw left me exhausted and drained, and for what? Some measly scrap and badges. It won’t get better if I made it to Bronze.

You, Doc, and Poony are smart. You are enjoying the building part of the game.

Yeah this was part of the problem and a contributeing factor as to why i stopped playing clanwars. Im on playststion and to use my mic i have to use my headset. Im very sensative to sound. So people argueing in my ear is a no go for me. Ive left more than one clan because i couldnt stand all the bickering or argueing. The other issue was background noise. Like hearing one guys laundry machine, one guys kids talking and one guys coughing mouth smacking and heavy breathing all at tue same time through my headphones? I cant handle it very well. And people eating constsntly during clanwars? Just smacking in my esr while im trying to do diamond or gold pvp? Like how fat do you need to be? Ill have to mute some people. If i dont tell them i muted them they will figure it out eventually and get pretty mad at me. If i ask them to quiet their mic noise that wont go well either because then im being a jerk. Im just hapoier not being on console coms. Pc coms is better. Pc players often use push to talk so i kind of wish my account was on pc. I never had this much issue in pc coms like i have with playstation… Open mics? I cant handle that shit.

I understand your feel when you play game that requires too much grind to get late game items, im playing this game for already 3 years, and im not constant i mean im not on all CW sesons normally i only play saturdays and i never get the Cap of farm on any resource. In my case i start building 3 88 executor, and 6 flute hovers, without fuse anything ofc. With this 2 builds i start look for a Clan and start playing with no meta build in silver/gold league, after first year i already was building my second porcupine.

Its true when i did this, the game was allow players on any league 100 uranium so it was bit more easy, im agree that is way to long to get relic. Also during all this time i was buying cheap items dosent matter what, and selling for higher price 2,3,4 or + weeks and i did a lot of money thing that can help you get faster relic item.

I dont think the solution is move relics from behind CW better is do more atractive CW for players, i think great solution will be create a CW that allow ppl to join with low ps build league, to allow new players start get uranium when they get a good 8 or 9k PS build, even if you get 1 uranium every 2 wins. I did post time ago about it but i was reading answers of ppl and some one said that its good idea but maybe will not have enought players base to make this mode posible and maybe they are right i dont know.

I have suggested this many times since the event “Arena” was released.

We need a version of Arena added to the game that has been adjusted for weekly play.

If your not familiar with the format it is 9k max - 4vs4 teams - it lets teams and random players join - it is also played on special maps made for the mode.

Yes i know how it was arena, i was not playing much but i did some games and it was really good. The question is if game devs will allow new players to “easy” win uranium. Im Playstation player and 10 uranium value is arround 500-550 coins for already months, i imagine that lvl 30 account that have 3 maces build for exemple who play like normal person (have work, maybe kids etc) can earn arround 200 300 coins selling wires or litle more if he farm plastic or electronic raids. Will be the posibility to earn uranium and 500+extracoins x week be less incentive for players to buy packs or directly coins? Probably yes. Thats why i wonder this will never come.

Your probably right that it will never happen.

But if it did I think it could be done right. They just will not take the time to do it right.
