Honestly I am not super impressed with the helicon. It hits with all the force of a pool noodle and shares a gimmick with the mastodon. Which the latter does much better. Not a great look for the thing, but hey, maybe theyāll buff it or something; Thatās just my 2 cents.

Besides Firebugs and Porcs what hits harder?
Mastodons, Scorpions, Mandrakes, Heathers, Mammoths, Typhoons, Tsunamis, Jormungandrs and Nidhoggs. There have been multiple times when playing in any of my spider builds that I have noticed a helicon and decided to ignore them for a higher priority target. Even though I took multiple volleys of helicon rockets I still came out intact. They really need a buff, but hey, I donāt have any so feel free to leave them as is, doesnāt really affect me either way.

Iāve seen a few on Xbox and even messaged one of the users asking about it. He said he was quite underwhelmed by its performance.
Kinda funny how thereās a thread talking about how this is the new super duper hyper OP weaponā¦ and here itās meh.
The duality of man XD. But really I think that people think itās OP strictly because it is new. Looking at the reload time, durability, damage, and perk objectively doesnāt really scream OP to me. It just feels like a mastodon that doesnāt hit as hard. Like honestly what does the helicon do that the masty doesnāt?

Heli gets stronger with range. Mastodon stays the same.
Even if point blank Heli does slightly less damage it still has much over the Mastodon. Just the reload difference makes Helicon better.
People just arenāt hitting their stride yet. The gun is hard to use and you have to land all your shots to make it count. Once people dial in the bullet drop they will be raining nukes.

i dont really think so. there are both risks and rewards for those weapons and its hard to put one above the other. while you CAN reduce the reload speed of the mastodon by various means the mastodon can fire 2 armor piercing rounds which upon hitting one heats parts. firing a single shot is actually weaker for the mastodon. but again, timing and accuracy are a thing.
also can rockets be blocked by nova?? i dont think they can beā¦ i know it blocks projectiles but idk if rockets count as projectiles. can someone confirm that?

Yes. The only thing that goes through Nova is Porc and Fortune.
We shall have to wait and see.

Nova may provide partial blockage but I can shoot through a shield and still do dmg

I wonder what the new recipe will be, I am planning on getting one when the new recipe updates in 3 or 4 days.
I know that Typhoon will push some damage through the sheild.
