Robbed again!

I did imply that if someone consistently uses those items they can be considered a try hard, not cus they’ve got a couple of meta builds.
Technically you’re right in a way, players who use art builds have to “try even harder” as they’re not using crutches.

So there it is. All art build players are try-hards.
Thank you for the clarification.

Why, those who do it always fail to comprehend it correctly lol

the problem with the try hard debate is who cares and why?

Because it shows a lot about people

I know I don’t care.

It is always the low/mid PS players and art build guys that are all about “I’m not playing meta! No mater what! I’m not a try hard!!”

They are the only ones that obviously care.

I really do not know the definition of try hard, sorry.

All I know is that I do not require any more MVP’s or Prestige levels. I just want to get as many kill or kill assists as possible and get my Resource Reward. I like to share. Now, I cannot share because enemy die too quickly to Piercers and Maces, but I always get my Resource Reward.

Actually, I do indeed try less hard now that I have joined to the dark side. Easy button.

I started playing Turrets by accident. A Season Mission required Turrets and I had none. I opened blue untradeable crates until I had 3 Turrets and completed the Mission. Later, the Call Cabin fell steeply in price, and I got one. Then, during an Event, I bought another and fused 2 into 1. Thus, now having a fused Pack Only Cabin, it was logical to fuse my Turrets, Cheetah, Detector, Bigfoot Wheels and my Cloak. Now, owning all these fused items it was only logical to master the playstyle, perfect the vehicle repeatedly because of Patch Balance Changes and use this vehicle almost exclusively in Missions. But every time I got robbed, it bothered me so that I quit Turrets altogether.

I also got into playing turrets because of winning untradeable ones from the old crate system.

I find them relaxing to play, but still engaging. It’s all about driving and map awareness. I also like that I can hide them easily in small realistic cars.
I’ve never used the Call cabin, but I’m really into using Jannabi with them. Drop the turrets, escape to cover and do donuts and drift tricks to buff my damage. Whenever I see my crosshairs flash I twitch my steering to start fishtailing. Great fun.
Same thing is great with Yaoguai/Vulture builds. Phobos works best because you need the extra speed to drift consistently.

Have you tried adding a King to your turret build? I like boobytrapping my turrets sometimes. Use them as bait.

Thats a pack only weapon, correct? I do not own one so it must be. I am very choosy about what I spend my coins on and my storage spaces.

I think you only need to drift while dropping them at the moment unless they changed it to get the bonus. My old drone sled use to use one. Though I recently switched to a harpy for the extra drop.

See, Helen on the enemy team, with a kill assist?

See was a tough bot to kill, she tanked so much damage in first seconds of the battle that she was the bait. As the bait she allowed her allies to strike us without fear of return fire for a good 15 seconds, so about 30 seconds she lived.

Now, she’s a bot and nobody cares about bots, but she definitely deserved a reward just for tanking damage.

No one deserves a reward without doing damage. Who cares if they can tank…

She has a kill assist, so she did damage in the few seconds before she was stripped of weapons and violently attacked while her team abandoned her.

In a different game, this would be a very valuable ability.
I can’t say I didn’t help win a few games when and because I played a tough tanking build that could take 2 players on, for a good long amount of time, but matches here are situational and fast, and it’s not like those fantasy PvP games where you tank and a healer backs you up so you literally hold the line. No such thing here.
You do the damage or you are of little worth to the team.

Probably just a shot or two… Didn’t really do the damage so she didn’t get points. All she did was die in 30 seconds and leave your team 1 attacker short.

For the ten thousandth time… Assists don’t mater

I changed my quote above…

I have played many games like that, and yes a “tank” class can be very important in those types of games. But even as they are tanking damage, they are still dealing damage. (Maybe not as much as the rouge/mage in their team, but they are still doing a good amount)

I also think that a tank class is also very good in XO, but also like the above statement, a tank in XO still needs to be able to produce damage to be a viable build.

Something like a Reaper, Bigram is a perfect tank class for XO, but that build is also going to do it’s fair share of damage.

I should retest it, but it really seems like I only get the big damage numbers when drifting at the moment damage is happening

Exactly. Crossout is (pulling numbers out of a hat) 75% about damage, 25% tanking.
Assists are just a comforting stat to make people at ease when they look at the score board. So are the kills to be honest. If someone just finished an enemy that someone else already took to almost dead state, then that kill is just a kill steal.
Points are where it’s at.
You get points = you did the job… No points = you didn’t do the job.

That said, I would award points for pushing someone into a pit though. For as much armor he had on.

ok, so i’m going to finnaly put the nail on the coffin to this post…

there is a fan made “app” called CO_driver, it was made by one of the best crossout players that still play this game…

why am i talking about it?

well simply, ir’s main function is to read trought your in-game battle/garage logs and make all the gibberish actual read-able information

and guess what is one of the main informations that are stored in the logs that you can-not see anywere else?

the damage done to enemies

so look at this:

battle results screenshots:

CO_driver 's information found in the logs:

it has been proven to be extremelly safe several times, and it is constantly getting updated, but it looks like they have not added the “avalanche” yet to the list of weapons…

so if lord tutor wants to prove us he does something, he can get co-driver, or just try to look directly into the logs…

dealing cabin damage does not give any points if you do not get the last hit, so lord tutor could still be talking the truth, now it is upon him to prove us as the tools to do so already exist.
