Rust and dust SUCKS

im sorry but i need to complain about this.

i am in a 2k powerscore car and im coming up against 8k powerscore enemies!?
you wanna know how long i lasted against that enemy? literally 1 second. he killed me instantly.
he had the meat grinders which took off my wheels instantly, then killed me just as fast. all this person had to do was hold right as he drove into me.

on top of this cannons in this mode are BUSTED. seriously i have lost to these stupid cannons so many times its bull :poop: and thats not even scratching the surface.
you got people in here running around WITH NO WEAPONS and costing us time. DUDE YOU HAVE NO WEAPONS AND EVERYONE ELSE IS DEAD!! F-ING SELF DESTRUCT!!!

i also saw a dude in a low ps car running around with a whirl just knocking off everyones weapons in 1 - 2 shots. this weapon one shots the chords right off your car.

this mode is just dominated by people running epics, if you see an 8k ps not on your team and your teams full of people under that ps just dont even try.

from the bs powerscore matching to people being idiots and running around with no weapons costing time, to the overpowered weapons in this mode, nah man you can keep your trash and shove it to. idc about the rewards im not doing it. i hate pvp focused modes. if this had pve to then i wouldnt care but this? nah.

also the rewards are hot garbage. the fact you need to dump money into here for that stupid cabin to is sickening if you want it.

also screw the UI it looks absolutely hideous.

Souhlasim, mohu se pod tohle odepsat. I agree, I can sign this. level engineer 526 long-time player

I was wondering just how some people have obtained these weapons in rust & dust so quickly. Obviously deep pockets smoking credit cards and haven’t a life other than this game. Or were allowed to bring their progress from closed beta. Then again, I am wondering why would a seasoned veteran XO player would want to restart their progress in this game from the beginning all over again to grind away for what… The same old same old? Not worth the hassle . Sad , A game that has so much potential but the talent is wasted on frivolous non sense. Yeah I ain’t a gonna be a nice. this seriously has the stench of more battle pass revenue in the near future .

sorry man but…

I just found it funny.

Yeah, guess we are in the sweet spot for cannons, how or where do you think i got my hatred for cannons?
To this day is the one thing that i build for…
Let’s see what i’m able to come up against them with limited gear.
But it’s just at the beginning, because once out of that sweet spot, they are minced meat

The problem is that gap between blue and epic weapons is too much, blue parts can’t do anything while epics wreck.

Also yeah, tracks are OP in this mode lol

Okay I can second what Zarrurer was up against. I saw a 2 Thresher Grenade guy waffle stomping new builds into the dirt in seconds. Basically, your starter build is a turd on wheels.

I am still scratching my head and don’t understand what the Dev’s are trying to accomplish. For me play testing was not fun. It goes back to when we all first started and had to grind.

i just learned a new string of words today

yeah really… also rare wheels are absolute garbage compared to higher tiers. i feel that if even a bullet grazes them they fall off… also the big rare wheels still look comically big lol.

whirls do a ton of damage man, they are no joke. also bad team mates are bad.

jo mama so fat…

It was actually fun up til Level 7. Fun ended trying to get level 8. Pay-to-win sealclubbers everywhere. Pummeled by tracked bastion builds left and right.

Out of frustration (and too many “0 reward” matches), I built a Little-Boy-Cannon x 2 vehicle. First time I played it, I did ok, except I felt like I was now the one sealclubbing the weaker players. That’s not my style.

This could really have been a fun diversion, if everyone had to grind and it wasn’t possible to buy your success. If the matchups were more equitable, it would have made a difference as well; I’m discovering that 2k vs 4k matchups in rust/dust are ALOT worse than 8k vs 16k in regular Crossout, or at least it seems that way.

It’s really not hard to get enough spare parts for epics quite quickly.
You definitely don’t need to spend money to do it, just bang out a bunch of matches in a session.

Make one decent all rare build using whatever is comfortable for you to grind with, and then you’ll have something to fall back on if you have a few bad matches and lose your epics and spare parts.

Get catalina and 4 vectors. This is enough to reliably get 300-400 spare parts per win

Yeah, seems best to selectively pick some epic parts, rather than make a build that’s all epics.

I’m actually surprised at how much fun I’m having with this mode.

Okay,

So some insights that I learned from this mode. You can craft epics like the Goliath Tracks and others from the Workbench. Its fast easy and does not take other parts to make. Just Scrap. This is why there is a huge gap in vehicles. People who make the epics… which are cheep… can waffle stomp anyone.

Ask me how I know… I created a monster build and wiped out half the opposing team. It did not take any skill to seal club. I just had to craft the epics in the Workshop.

So until other survivors understand they don’t have to grind to craft. Its going to be mad house of butchery.

Since I’ve tested it. I’m going to stop playing Rust and Dust.

My team: Combined PS=25,533 (didn’t count 7th player). Enemy team: Combined PS=34,712. So what’s the difference between Dust&Crust and normal Crossout? I’m assuming there’s enough people playing. Taking this as proof that matchmaking IS broken.

And no, I don’t fault the guy with the 12k build. He musta felt like sh!t.

Here is the sad truth, Purple. I think you already know that for some winning is the best drug in the world for some folks.

It’s why I posted about the workshop and building epics. To level the playing field so everyone can have epics and fight each other on level footing.

You don’t have to grind actually. The main problem i see in this mode is - if enemy has more goliaths than your team, you lose. And it really feels like the matchmaker rigs matches because 90% of the time teams aren’t balanced evenly, you get 4 goliaths on one team and 1-2 on the other

The key to “win” (climb the leaderboard and don’t lose as much) in this mode is having 2 builds, one for farming spares and the other for farming rating.
For farming spares you need as little epics as possible, like catalina vector build with 1 epic.
For farming rating, you need an actual meta build. Right now it’s goliath varuns on inferno or goliath fatmans on echo.

If you start to see that enemy team gets more high PS players (example: you’re at 10k, your second teammate is 6k. Enemy has two 10k PS and third one is 8k PS), swap your build to farm spares as the matchmaker starts to rig the game against you. Then swap back to rating farmer once you see evenly balanced teams (or if your team reliably gets higher PS players)

Well i did literally a couple of games, i’m at the start with that orange thing, didn’t have time for more, not for dailies or even raids.
my last game was with plenty of cannons in broken arrow.
I am finding this very amusing
My very first game with the orange thingy was yesterday on crater map and what did i found ?
Might as well been the Toruk Makto, a goliath tracked build with gremlins or goblins
Today , a flimsy build with a borer took half my build away, next a beefy build came near me and tried to sd on me, i manage to get away only with two wheels.
For a reason starter builds has protected MM, which in this doesn’t happen.
This is so comical…

So tomorrow i’m gona try a new approach

Whirls are meh, sure, they do alot of damage, but first varun will degun you.

Although they would be a good counter to goliaths if you have inci in your team. Too bad nobody uses that

I’m #11, played more than 150 rounds of this mode already, and i’ve only seen 2 incis
