Are the devs trying to kill the game?

I’m sure they put alot of work into this; not sure what the point is though. It’s just a speeded-up version of the main game, with the same pay-2-win, sealclubbing, etc. Instead of rethinking the new-player experience and frustrations, they spend time repainting a fence…but what do I know.

The battles are very much like early Crossout before Dawn’s Children update. No cloaking and no detecting through terrain. But Turrets and Flying Drones were in the game since day one of open Beta!
Also, Assists not counting after 15 seconds is like Beta Crossout too.
But these early Crossout battle were 8v8, not this 6v6 garbage.

What do you mean?

How do you pay to win in this mode? Anyone can play a starter car for half an hour and get enough spare parts to make an epic build and dominate with it. How is that pay 2 win?

Am I missing some mechanic where I can spend real money and get an advantage over the free players?

The only p2w-ish mechanic i see is that teal UAZ cab which basically offers permament 20% DR to the whole build (with the only way to get it for the mode is to buy a pack with real money) But it’s not that outrageous to be literally “pay to win” imo

Can we use that cab in this mode, or does it just appear in our normal Crossout storage?
Seems weird to have one Special cabin, when all the others are only rare or epic. I haven’t seen anyone using it in this mode yet, so it still doesn’t seem like a P2W situation.

I feel like a lot of people are lashing out at this mode without actually understanding how it works.

I kind of like how there’s a big PS spread on the teams. It creates a dynamic where each team has a few heavyweight builds, and everyone else plays a support role. It can be fun to be the heavyweight and dominate the match, but it’s also exciting to play a lower PS build and feel the fear when bullets start tearing your armour off.

The only problem i see is how badly they are balanced, you get a few high PS players in one team but none to compensate on the other

Yeah, seems like groups mess things up, just like normal Crossout.

I had a very long losing streak last night, facing the same two Goliaths over and over. But eventually you get bumped into another queue (or the kill squad take a break), and suddenly I’m doing well again.

Personally, I think they should ban groups from this mode.

Yes 70% players our clan gone.

there is actually.
if you buy the battlepass and max out the pass you get access to ALL the blueprints in there alongside the weapons used in it. so if you drop like 200 dollars on the pass day 1 you can pretty much unlock everything and just seal club to your hearts delight. unlocking the vehicle blueprints also unlocks the weapons / cabins / etc to that blueprint putting them all in your inventory and you can make it right away with the parts unlocked.

read above.

the pack cabin only appears in your regular crossout inventory.

So do you think they are trying to recruit new whales with this?

i think this is an experiment of sorts.
“how many whales will buy pay to win mechanics to get ahead”
and “how many people can we piss off and get to quit with this pay to win crap”
im hoping its not the second one but with their track record you never know.
im guessing they want to try getting more people to pay to win with this, you know, get them so frustrated that they drop money just to stand a chance in the mode.
its just sad to me that this is what the higher ups want out of this game.

I sort agree with you but .
They could put a PS bracket but they didn’t this time
They did in Slaughter event as in any other mode CCs perhaps BFU and so on.
Why mixing 8k /12 k builds with starter builds?
the answer seems simple
to make people move up, not only to make people spend money but also to create a pavlov effect.
Epic, rare, special releases ( weapons ) ?
All i see is legendary, is been legendary after legendary, they gain a all lot more more than other parts

people have been wanting more rare / special parts but all we see is epics and legendaries. we need more variety, we have enough legendaries to last a long time, we need more options for rares and specials. give us more to work with.

The main problems of the game still persist. Uneven/unfair matches, enemies higher by 3-6 thousand PowerScore. Bots with Powerscore 10-13 thousand have legendary weapons that destroy players in 2 hits. Bots equipped with retchers kill players in one hit. Helicopters still have too much dispersion in height, helicopters equipped with rockets or autocannons are invulnerable to bots at maximum height.

The blueprints will not help you rank up any higher. Remember, you only get to keep those parts until they’re destroyed.

I unlocked the impulse/favourite car yesterday, and lost all the parts the first match I played with them.

Anyway, it takes very little time to grind out enough spare parts to craft any of those parts. There’s no need to unlock them with the BP.

you can repair them, and the battlepass gives you PLENTY of stuff to just repair them outright.

try telling that to the masochists who love seal clubbing and playing unfairly because their egos cant handle other people beating them.

It amazes me how easy they trick you all into playing a mode you don’t need to play.
