With the warm welcome I’ve gotten here, I feel confident on making this post, fundamentally an idea for an entire pack I had… basically as a way to hypothetically shove in my self-insert Crossout-sona into the game. Except I found out packs don’t have legendary-tier stuff, so I guess it’d be more of a season pass thingie… except I wouldn’t expect my character to do anything noticeable enough on a large scale to move the overall story of the Valley onwards. Nonetheless, I still wanna share what’s basically an idea of a bundle of items, all with the same aesthetic.
All in all, I just wanna share the things I imagine and wish for, in case someone in here also likes some of it.
To the point! I love knights and science and magic (and technomagic), and thus so does my character (literally just a guy who loves all that and somehow survived the apocalypse, and now lives with an aesthetic built out of everything he loves). The aesthetic of his unique items would be all basically Dawn’s Children-style items, but Knechte-fied and bulky (say, techy items with the Dawn’s Children’s iconic geometry, tending for “elegance” where possible while still being a hefty item overall, decorated with knightly symbology, banners, engravings and such).
The character's backstory (may be tampered as much as necessary to fit into the setting)
Before the Crossout, [Insert character’s name] was a fan of the concepts of knights and their shining armor as well as sorcerers wielding the stars, and saw no reason not to combine both. Back then it was all just fantasies, but he loved that so much that, although he couldn’t afford magic in that mundane world, he bought a knight helmet, which he cherished.
Then Crossout happened, taking away almost all he knew. Unyielding, he clung on to what remained and kept on, adapting to the new world. With the help of his newfound lover and copilot, the Gadgeter Witch [I am literally shoving my gf into this aswell, yes], he improved his old helmet with modern tech, making it fit for the apocalypse and turning it into his unmistakable signature piece of equipment.
Ever since he heard of the Knechte, he became their fan and aspired to join their ranks, but he never got the chance. Then the Knechte were defeated. His sorrow was great but he endured on, yet again, choosing to carry their legacy on his own terms, working with the Gadgeter Witch to gear themselves up for the task, and with the Engineers to help make the new world one where people can thrive, despite it all.
With energy weaponry as both his spells and lance, and his armored vehicle as both steed and shining armor, the stalwart sorcerer knight fights to help as many endure through as he did
Now! On to the items I had in mind:
- Cabin: fundamentally either a heavy version of the Nova, or a Legendary version of the Bastion. No further ideas here from my part, that’s literally all I know I want here.
- Weaponry: that Heavy Plasma Emitter I talked about in my first Topic I made. Fundamentally a cannon that kinda resembles a lance, with a decorated shield and all.
- Decor: Banners and drapes! As in like the hanging banners you’d see in medieval castles… and basically the big side cloths some knight’s horses wore into battle. I really want to decorate my car with fancy drapes like those. Bonus points if it’s got a “crenelated” vibe, like these:

- Decals: If we could have the biggest, most impressive grafiti from the Power Plant map as decals (specially the one with the lily head and the words “such flandern, Martin?”), I’d be super happy
- Paints: Burnished steel, plate steel and Damascus Steel are all already good paints for me. All more I could ask for is just a fancy metallic bronze.
This is a colossal amount of stuff to ask for, and I don’t expect much to actually originate from this. But I myself am happy enough if someone out there reads this unleashing of my many daydreams inspired by this game.
