So we’ve had many changes in this game, buffs and nerfs, overhauling a lot of things, but what out of all of them was the one that got you the saltiest? What is that 1 change that you dislike the most? It can be big or small, it can involve parts or something else like removing a specific map or mode, basically that one change that you just can’t get over. I am interested on what is that 1 specific personal thing people might still be feeling negative about. 1 specifically because let’s face it there’s a lot of changes that have rubbed people the wrong way, so that personal number 1 among all of them is interesting.
For me, the change they did to driving mechanics in general with the supercharged update to make builds feel “less arcade-like” and with it moving the POV more behind the car and down a few steps, making using specific builds and guns a pain in the ass because your rides dumpy is now in the way. The POV when playing was way better before supercharged and so was handling of most movement parts, wheels especially.
It’s hard to think of just one particularly bad one, considering there were just as many positive changes. So I’ll mention removal of bedlam maps from the rotation, specifically Fortress, Terminal 45, and the long one, whose name I forget at the moment (it might have been called something like Dead Highway). I wouldn’t mind as much if the devs would at least mention why they were removed; that’s not too much to ask.
the removal of the terminal 45 map was a bit to far for me. the answer was simple, disable mech legs abilities in that mode or more specifically disable the dino legs ability to jump. they couldve also added invisible walls but to remove it completely was just a jerk move. i want my box maze back…
Engraved casings being removed from the game, but not from the crafting recipes.
No possible logical explanation, other than inflating the cost of relics.
I don’t know, i can’t answer you.
In a heartbeat i can say the CV ( carrier vessel ) rework where i had my first burn out, and then the submarines introduction in the game where i had my second burn out, along side with aggressive monetary policies and protected classes…but that was another game.
Nowadays not only i rarely speak about the other game but also this game switched places with it. Nowadays t’s more likely i speak about crossout to warships guys then the other way around…
Just minor things, mainly like maps, and the way combat moved on since i met crossout .
Less close quarters combat more ranged attacks, less melee, chaos and pile ups. I really miss those days, wedge builds, SGs. More claustrophobic maps and so on
Annoying at best…for now
This game continues to be too shy in frustrating it’s players and employing aggressive monetary tactics and that’s a very good thing for us .
Maybe former WOT players can relate to what i’m trying to say, understand what i’m saying.
Despite all, crossout continues to be a very enjoyable game.
Yeah, blow outs exist, there are OP builds but not at the scale i was used to experience.
One major difference, very important one.
One thing is meeting your hard counter on the field, and trying to play around it
Other thing is meeting the hard counter for all of your team where nothing can be done about it.
I never felt hopeless in a combat, suppressed yes but never hopeless.
And for me is what makes this game still kicking
I remember people complained about having too many and WANTED them removed, so the devs half-removed them to inflate prices. What I believe SHOULD’VE happened is either:
1: lower drop rates so people get less, but still have a renewable source to use
or 2: removed them from the recipes too.
And the sad thing is right before they made them unobtainable, the made them tradeable for the first time. So (since I needed coin) I sold all mine (big mistake). Now I’ll never get them back.
people had to many because they were untradable and they didnt want to spend so much on piercers, fidgets and imps. these weapons costed far more to make then that you could sell them for. we wanted more things to be able to use them on without having to spend an ungodly amount of resources on making them.
dont forget coupons to.
this kind of backfired on them because its been what? 3 years since they were removed? they havent said anything more about these or coupons. they should either:
1: make an event to use up all your engraved casings and coupons on various things like weapons, wheels, armors, etc.
2: remove them and compensate players with resources.
3: readd them back into the game to allow players to get them again and trade them.
I wonder if casings were removed because you had to use the adventure map to find them, and maybe having alot of people using that map at the same time, was a drain on their servers due to its size…
