I wanted to say a few things for the occasional new players to see:
First: hello all, welcome to the wasteland where all money/time/sanity is wasted both in-game and IRL.
Second: If you want to play, get the free packs, they will help to ease the suffering:
Third: If you are using Steam, go link your account to āgaijin.netā for full access to the game, because they hate Steam users for some reason.
Fourth: This game will take literal months, or even years before you can grind up to get a relic, so GL with thatā¦ unless you pay real life $$$$$ for it.
Fifth: DO NOT FUSE STUFF!!! It is a big mistake and you will get the fuse you donāt want, and all the fuses will be random and not match what else you fused.
Also: Sorry if I seem a little bit mean, I bought the battle pass a while back (big mistake I know), and now I have not enough bearings for my second swarm I wanted, and now Iām a little mad. Iām 5 levels short and cannot buy more levels for personal reasons and I already completed all of my season challenges.
Crafting is not worth it, sell resources to slowly build up coin, buy items on the market instead of crafting them
Never buy/sell at the price suggested, make low/high offers and let them sit for a few days, adjust accordingly if needed
You are not going to be able to stay 100% free to play, the game is designed to suck out money, you are eventually going to reach a point where you either pump some real life money into the game, or stop playing, and if you want to keep playing for long, you are going to need to put in money every now and then
Never buy crosscrowns or packs that use crosscrowns. Always buy lite edition of new packs if you need to. Only buy packs on sale. Deluxe edition packs are not worth it, ever. If the paint is cool, youāll eventually be able to buy it affordably on the market after some time. Otherwise unobtainable cosmetic items can be cool but you also can slowly gain them from various brawls and events. There are pack sales happening all the time, just wait a few weeks rather than buying it right now
The early game PS is a shitshow. The seal clubbing problem and rampant cheese will get better in the higher ps, it will always be there but to a lesser degree the higher you go. Until you reach the truly end-game PS tiers then itās just a relic wank for clan war elitists
It is ok to ignore all the forced social aspects of the game, like confrontation and clan wars. It will make relics absolutely unobtainable in any way, but even when they are āobtainableā all I ever hear about is how big of a pain it is and how it sucks all the fun out of ever enjoying the game
Reporting does nothing and moderation is nonexistent, use the blacklist function if needed, it wonāt block you form playing with the player sadly but at least you donāt have to look at whatever they are leaking out of their rotted brain into the general chat/dmās
Epics are good enough to compete with legendary items at higher PS, I am still using mostly epics at 12k because outside some battle pass parts I still canāt afford them
Do not fuse too many items, itās nice to have some money you can move around because even the most fun and best of guns gets really tiring really fast when itās the only thing you can play because youāre stuck with it. Playing something else, even if itās less effective, can really freshen up the game a lot
Do not care about kills per battle, prestige leves, medals, patches etc numbers. Just have fun, play whatever build or gun you want to play, no matter how effective or not it is
There are a lot of angry children and equally mentally challenged people in the game, who have a lot of opinions and think they are very important opinions that they have. You will see them a lot in battles, you can ignore them equally as much while they try to backseat drive everyone or complain about whatever
But for advice to new players i would say, get a build up to 4k powerscore.
Easy way to do this is get a heavy cab, and put lots of expensive light structure parts on it.
And when you get some coins, get a fuel tank and fuel barrel and hide it under your car.
Then buy a Maxwell radar and learn to use the minimap.
I just find it funny how much downplay is needed towards an opinion of the game that someone thinks is not true at all, makes it seem extra true when the opinion needs that much putting down rather than simply disagreeing with it
Yet only one of us contradicting each other is being extra petty about it. Still think majority of people will be forced to spend money one way or the other no matter what a few randos on the forum might say
