Targem could’ve literally split both lobbies in half and then fill every spot inbetween with bots, but no, they have to go “F it we ball”.
That unfortunate 7.7k PS poor fella on the enemy side is going to uninstall after this. Great job at doing this to him, Targem, surely this won’t negatively impact the health of the player-base, TRUST!1!1!!!111!1! /s
targem unironically thinks that speeding up matchmaking like this will make players think the game has a non-microscopic player count and is worth playing.
maybe one day they will discover that this matchmaker doesnt work well, even though the player count has reflected it for a few years already.
although to be fair to targem, whales are somehow still content with spending their monthly wage on new parts, so maybe there is no reason to try to improve the matchmaker
Said it before, saying it again, until they learn to retain new players and keep the sealclubbers off of them, nothing else matters, including matchmaking.
First press F11 twice. Then view what server you are on, say NA. Then, enter Settings, mark server to RU but leave server choice unlocked. Then, play again, noting RU or EU server and queue time. Also, note if the MM is more precise. The select EU or RU and lock your server choice.
If queue times were better on NA, but MM more precise elsewhere, then you must choose which is better for you. Poor MM with short queues or good MM with longer queues.
Also, go to bed early, wake up when you should be sleeping, play RU with short queues and precise MM.
I agree that spitling the player base was i bad idea, however i do NOT want to play against walkers and helicopters. Hitting an enemy with a cannon at distance is already less that easy, but hitting a heli is like trying to go outside and touch grass. Many weapons are decent against normal enemies, but absolute trash against something that moves in all direction that quickly. Maybe making the game fully cross-platform could fix the low player count instead?
they should fully delete them, but the problem is that some players somehow enjoy playing them, so now theyre stuck with a separate gamemode.
even though helis and mechs were stupid from the start, in hindsight its impossible to understand how the devs could think adding them could work out, the game was already pretty dead at the time they added them
This is another reason I love Clan Confrontation and cannot understand why more people don’t get into it. No bots and players cannot exceed 10k, plus the wait times are usually shorter.
It would be nice if they implemented something like a “sideboard” for the matchmaking. It would have slots for different powerscore brackets and if you fill them, the matchmaker can add you to a match with one of those instead of your selected build, making matches with better power scores.
If you really want to play your selected build, you should be able to turn the whole sideboard or specific builds off, but you would have to wait longer.
There could be a small reward if the matchmaker uses one of your sidboard builds, like giving out some fuel or another underused ressource (or even a new one), rewarding players who play nice.
This would also encourage more (targeted) building, and building stuff is half the fun of the game.
I wouldn’t mind playing at lower ps if it is a choice and i know that everyone else is playing at that ps too.
Currently it’s more like: pack everything you can, others do it too and you will face them. We need a system that rewards playing nice with players who don’t have all the parts. They will have their incentive to build bigger, higher ps builds anyways, to get into the faster brackets that many players will force even with such a system.
