It just meant staying at 4000 or getting your ass kicked. Did that for Years on X-Box until friends started giving me X-Box specific gift cards for holidays. Now II play it on PC and knew what parts I Actually needed, I dropped just 100 bucks (one season and mini season pass plus some car packs with expensive parts) so now can play any level but the true top.
So on one hand yes, but I enjoyed the 3-5000’s long enough for a free game to play it, and honestly 100 bucks isn’t that much, and that really is all you need to bypass literal years of grinding.
There’s that little spot between 4k and 6kish that is really harsh. I think that’s because you can min-max there with PS with some upper level items. Once you get past that bump the game kind of goes back to normal. It could just be a bottle neck of purchase power though to rather than just straight seal clubbing.
True. The 4000 line was a lot more clear on X-Box (4699 was the fairly solid level cut). Right now I fly around 8000 and see enemies all the way up to 17,000 down to 5000. Playing 5000 is pretty much screwed. Under 4000 seems safe, but yeah pretty much seal clubbing at this point, which runs off the much needed new players.
I spent a few hundred bucks when I first started off back in 2018. Back then you got a ton more bang for your buck and that was before cross crowns. You use to get pack sales on coins at 50% discount very frequently soo for 50 canadian dollars you would get 10 000 coin. Soo for like 100 canadian dollars and a little extra grind on top you could easily buy a relic with barely any sweat.
Yea temptest is like my go to weapon at that power score lol back when I use to mess around at low ps battles but I don’t see much point in stepping down to sub 8k games again, not my thing no more! been there! done that! so now whenever i play crossout i just kind treat it more like a call of duty game and play a few battles with my fave set ups.
Lol just noticed! what happened to this thread while I was gone anyways? If toast the roast was around then things most definitely got nasty at some point LOL, No offence toast!
I think the biggest problem the game has with retaining new players is that experience gives people a huge advantage in Crossout.
Learning how to build a competitive vehicle is hard, and takes time. Yes, you can download something from the exhibition, but that bypasses the aspect of the game that makes it special.
And once you have a good vehicle, learning how to play it is also tricky. You can’t just jump from a typical FPS into Crossout and expect to perform well.
New players download the game, learn the basics, and then suddenly get dumped into the deep end against people who’ve been playing for years. That’s a hard wall to hit.
I notice in my own clan, many of the newer players seem to mostly play Patrol, because they can’t handle PVP. Not many are even playing raids, which is likely either because they’re boring, or they get frustrated with veteran teammates hogging all the points.
Ok I got the idea so buddy didn’t even have the decency to create a cry thread and instead decided to dump on this one. Ok no need to add any further details, carry on with discussion lol. I’m amazed at how much traction this thread gained tho, this gotta me my most liked post by a long shot so I must of hit the nail on the head somewhere LOL.
I only do when I want to do weird sht and sometimes on machine gun day. That said I do have a fun six legged walker with no weapons at 3993 that just kicks the hell out of things (successfully).
It’s a six legged walker, the new robot legs (like ones that came in the freepack, I don’t remember what they’re called. Having that many with the Pegasus engine just creates enough force with enough mass to kick them for 300 + points damage, but you have to time the hit with the leg swinging forward or it’s like 50 points damage (womp womp).
Kinda fun, it’s in the exhibition.
The Pegasus is a good glitch maker for low levels but with the way the matches load put one gun on it and you’re fighting anything 8-14,000.
Usually just bot matches, I don’t need to torture the kids. But I have.
That’s cool!!! Yea loads of little weird exploits in the game lol. There is a player on pc named bigyadam and he solely uses 2 reapers with boosters strapped to the bottom of a super light build to fly to the very top of thee map in reg pvp. He is very good at it and just ruins the flow of the game because there is not much that can hit him besides either homing rockets, starfall, some mgs or a super 1 in a million lucky cannon hit. He basically can just fly in the air with impunity and shoot everybody and rarely get shot back at.
Oh yeah there were A LOT of people trying that on X-Box, only like one who actually pulled it off. Way lower level though. Brutal it works at the 10,000s. Hard to hate those kinds of guys off the field, easy to hate em on. Clever.
Yea he is very good with that build and it is super annoying to play against I admit. Luckily my 12.5k porc build also has a trombone so when I see him in game then I am firing porcs at everyone else while also targeting bigy with the trombone at the same time. Sometimes it works sometimes it don’t but the build is also not very durable, it is only held together with sheets of paper so a lot of times the trombone is enough to take him out LOL.
Yea trombone is one best weapons to use against these build types. The build is not held together by much so even tho trombone don’t do much damage it should still do just enough to inflict massive pain to it.
