Thats why those controls were added though. And its fairly easy to have quick hover turning on old controlls too. Your just complaing that new controls arent tedius basically. Get over it. Get gud.

I really think the core issue with both hovers and the controls is that hovers rotate the rig so much dramatically faster than every other movement part in the game.

Every thread that gets started on either one of these bounces around that issue. Honestly, I would think people would get bored of talking about it. But to each their own.

the ui just looks so bland and boring to me, like from a free futuristic space shooter game. i wouldnt say it fits this game since its supposed to be like a post apocalyptic world in the desert, building cars and weapons from scrap and trash, the previous ui looked better, more original and also actually matched the theme of the game. turning crossout into a mobile game is fine, but it might have been a mistake cuz clearly the developers now really want to make the pc version into a mobile game, with all the recent updates. and the aiming system as i said, it just practically gives any unskilled player the ability to have unstrippable weapons on a tanky build, and yeah considering players were already complaining about higher level players having op hovers in lower ps, this will now be an even bigger issue

the old controls were not “tedious”, the new ones are just skillless and only inflate the overpowered hover issue

The dev team has stated before that the largest market share for XO is PlayStation and Xbox combined.

Sure you are correct that PC has more players in a single platform, but with a money grubbing company like this if you don’t think they are going to push console super hard then your wrong.

Money will always win.

But the new comtrols are just generic shooter game controls. Everyone is used to those. Saying their skilless is just ignorant af. Oh no they made controls that optomize movement amd remove tedium! How skilless! Some people say crossout is skilless for whatever silly reason. Now your sounding like your sayong croasout is the only shooter that actually takes any skill. You just sound so ignorant to me.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t some hover players box in their guns so much that they couldn’t move their aim enough to block their barrel, allowing them to basically aim with steering in the old system? How is that significantly different from the new system?
Is is steering/aiming with mouse that is making people so upset? At least on console we were always using analog inputs for steering and aiming.

Is the problem the mouse aiming or the fact that hovers are too quick to turn around?

I think the new controls were solely for the purpose of introducing the flight feature into the game.

I also think your characterization of some XO players is too funny to not be true, at least sometimes.

Builds without the gun rotation restriction pieces do a lot better now. Before hovers didnt rotate as fast. But now hovers go significantly faster, thus rotate faster. Thats the biggest issue. It would be an issue regardless of new controls or not. Also its hard to restrict weapon movement on some weapons. So now people can bury those weapons deep. Like restricting an equalizer barrel from clipping armour isnt going to really go your way.

I used to play a very burried helios hover in older times. It had no barrel restrictors. It wasnt a build everyone could play well because you have to line up hover turning with gun turning. Now with new controls hover and gun turning are combined. Thats optimization of controls imo. Because if you dont need to rotate guns its kind of dumb you would be required to line up hover rotation with gun rotation so that in your four block space to shoot out of you dont ret clip your armour.

I dont think the new controls is what the huge issue with hovers is however. Its their turning speed. Omnis have the same advantage as hovers with new controls, but they arent overused or called out to be nerfed because their turning speed is slower.

Exactly. Its the speed. I warned devs it was a bad idea. And that the speed was going to make them op. All i got was a 5km reduction. Hover rotation is the real issue here.

The need for a lot of skill has been eliminated with mouse steering. Camera controls should be removed.

…or maybe just restricted to the flight feature? I don’t think the flight feature would work right without it.
