When Comes Finally FullScreen Mode. Not (In Window) ? 🤷‍♂️[PC]

On older versions of Windows, hit start so the taskbar shows up. Right click. Hit “show desktop.”

On 11, it’s a little different.

Hit start so the task bar pops up. Select one of the apps from the shortcuts or open one from the Start Menu.
Click into that app.
Hit start again so the task bar pops back up.
On the FAR RIGHT of the task bar, there’s a tiny vertical line. Hover your mouse over that. A “show desktop” pop-up will show up. Hit it.

If it’s not there, you need to go to settings, taskbar settings, taskbar behaviors, then select the bottom option to select the desktop from the corner or whatever it says.

Hope that helps.

BTW, atl-tabbing won’t work while the game is loading unless you select Crossout First, then whatever you want to alt-tab to. This is true for most large programs that take a minute to load.

Oh, and Start+D is the show desktop keyboard shortcut, too.

Nice.

I think you’re on an older version of Windows… I don’t have it to test it out, anymore. Glad the 2nd method is working, though. :clinking_glasses:

Yes. That’s Right.

No, it doesn’t. I wish it did. I have issues just opening the damn game now. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries (sometimes more) to get it to actually appear in “full-screen.” I too wish they would fix full-screen mode. I’ll be frustrated with the game before I even start playing sometimes, just trying to get it to launch.

Once I actually get it in full-screen, I don’t have issues (that I can’t navigate) paging up my PC “Start” menu to launch programs, like Firefox. There are issues, but I can manage it (Panda knows). It isn’t an improvement though, and I wish they would fix it.

Perhaps a couple of things to try… I could trouble shoot if I was on your PC, but since that ain’t happening, this is the best I can do.

If you’re on dual monitors, make sure you have XO running on the main monitor. Display 1.

Second, make sure your system has the display scaling set to 100%.

Then, of course, make sure you have the game actually set to run full screen.
Settings, video, display mode, full screen (windowed)

I Play on TV with 1600x900 Resolution :sunglasses::tropical_drink:

Hmmm… that’s not even 1080p

But in CrossOut [On PC] The Resolution Don’t Change Between 1600x900 & 1920x1080 :smirk: and 4K is Always UseLess. Only Not in Armored Warfare :hugs: Combined with 50% Scale, It Fix Any FPS Drops.

I get you.

But Crossout works fine at 4K on Xbox Series X

I’ve played on everything from a 120" TV, a 55" TV, NReal AR glasses, and multiple monitors.

My 2 cents are that you need the resolution. You need it bad. You need it so you know FROM A DISTANCE what the other dude has. Every pixel dropped is a serious disadvantage. I touched on this in this thread:

The REAL unfair advantage - Discussion - Crossout

While playing on a huge screen is probably more fun, I perform better when I’m using my boring old PC and monitor. Very high refresh rate for the monitor (which is as important as pixel count)…
Computer and display capable of displaying the game at top graphics settings…

…and I can alt-tab to browse the news when I’m waiting for a match. :man_shrugging:

On the win 11 alt-tab switch between apps, but doesn’t switch to the desktop.

Short-cut works well.

I do the same alt-tab to chrome when waiting for battles in games, not just crossout. I have no idea why alt-tab does nothing if the chrome is running at the same time for some .

revival full screen set is answer

Is it NOT a win issue, not crossout issue?

Due to certain technical problems, the “Full-screen” screen mode has been removed. Now it’s possible to change the resolution in the “Windowed Full-screen” mode. Unlike “Full-screen”, this mode works better with multiple monitors.
