I have 30 years of experience as software R&D and software business owner, I said it before and I say it again: never ever pay for beta software. It doesn’t mean you can’t donate or be patreon but please, people really need to learn how to differentiate both things. Between being a consumer and an investor. When you pay for beta software, you’re actually fomenting a “don’t give a shit when it’s done attitude” at their end. Even worst: the ever beta status, removes responsibility from a finished product, so they can’t give a s… and get on with it. But as an investor, you could actually make claims as how you’re money is being utilized. But, who are the investors ? Bottom line: you’re burning your money into a never ending pit, hoping something good will come out of it. You keep seeing smoke coming out of it and you pour even more money into it. It doesn’t make any sense at all if you think about it. On the other hand, I’ll be the first in line buying packs and battle pass when I see the first stable version. Until then …

If u said i spent 9k in csgo ok, u can profit of that by cashing out while still having fun, and csgo is never gonna die but crossout eventually yes ( sadly ).
U could do much better things with that money and u would feel better about it too, spent it on gym membership, do a Project car (9k is perfect for project car some 2k honda civic, bmw e36 while recording it to make content and maybe even flipping the car after), mount a PC just to flip/sell it , learn trading and invest by it, learn entrepreneurship, etc
But if it makes u happy and it isn’t a big % of your earnings, u do you.

I’m 40 years old and a retired Ford factory mechanic. So that’s actually one of my projects - a 1987 F350 turned into a 2 to 3k power score type vehicle. There is a Wasteland gathering in Western United States that does a “Mad Max” style festival over a couple of days. The goal is to have it ready by next year.
