Where is our money going?

IDGAF. I don’t like getting pwned by Porcupines all of the time (insert most expensive top shelf weapons), but that really isn’t my problem so much. I think the way they sell stuff is messed up, but I can’t say this game is pay to win. I’m getting pwnd by Truckers and Borers too often to make that kind of complaint, probably.

I’m not your mother (you seem like a nice enough kid though). Like you said, you’re 4o-whatever. I think it’s weird, maybe, but I don’t care. Maybe kids like you (4o-whatever) are how this game stays afloat. IDK. 9K; that’s a lot of man hours, Mr. Good for them…and you.

I’ll be getting my 1950’s front-end and the fins this month (I think) because somebody had the time (money) to create them. Somebody’s got to keep the lights on, so thank you for your contribution to my favorite pass-time (sickness. It’s a virus, not a game).

I’ll be diggin’ them fins. I’ve needed a good low-rider for a while…noob-pink (Tornado), with that cheesy leopard print for accents…gold rims, hydraulics. The Camber wheels could be demented on something like that.

It’s funny you say kids, I have been a clan leader for four years, same guys too. Literally the same people and some hang arounds. We’re all 34 or older. Our oldest member is 50. I know a couple others in their 60’s that play as well. We do have a 16 year old that’s been in the clan since he was thirteen years old.
The way I see it is this. I’ve been gaming my entire life. Atari since my older brother could put it in front of me kind of nerd. Let’s say I golf, bowl, or have another hobby. I’m spending more in the long run to do a fun, social activity or sport that’s a day or two a week. It adds up quick. I play a LOT, and can bang with the best of them at any power score. So why not spend the same kind of money and get a much better return on my money and ability to socialize with friends than I ever could meeting up with people for a bowling or golf league, softball or pretty much anything else. Cars and video games for me. And I can’t go to a driving range at four in the morning, but I can log on and play XO.

Anybody playing a video game has to be a kid at heart, I figure.

Please post a pic of your real life Mad Max car!

Ya, glad that’s over. I remember writing code to a Cassette with a Commodore 64 just to make X’s dance around on the screen in symmetrical patterns.
And, who can forget Pong (beep!)?

You’ve come a long way, baby.

The one thing I’ve found very disappointing about the future (other than…well, mostly everything) is the communicators from Star Trek.

I thought those were going to be way cooler than they are.

I remember arguing with my sister a lot because she would talk on the phone for hours and I would use the internet for hours. And I would like. Barracade my door so she couldn’t get in and I’d just keep gameing in my room. For the youngins out there internet used to take up the use of your phone line. So you’d pick up your phone while the internet is running and your phone would just start screaming nonsense robot noises at you.

The best is disabling call waiting so it wouldn’t knock you off your modem. I’m pre internet, so I remember dialing into a billboard system (bbs) to play games and talk to ppl. The truck is literally in pieces, so it looks like a scrap pile. Here’s a picture of my latest flip though. 1984 Datsun 300zx. 65k original miles.

The '80s weren’t so bad, in retrospect, but that is probably one of only two or three cool cars (and it’s pretty dnm cool) to come out of that entire era. 1980 signaled the end of cool hub-caps and rims for the next 20 years. In general, American cars all looked like The Ford Tempo or Taurus. Boring. Even the Mustang was in disguise. It took even longer for the corvette to recover, I think. The Japanese did good though. They always did good. I like 80’s Japanese motorcycles, myself, but their cars and trucks have been outstanding too.

You’re right. Sorry about that.

Meh. People are mean on this forum. I suppose it’d logical to assume I was trying to be derogatory. I like kids…mine anyway. People should be so fortunate to be as beautiful as they are. It’s not a dirty word in my house.
