Where is the joy in this game?

You have the option to grind for the weapons and parts its not fully p2w, its a fine line for sure, But its a free game, video games normally cost $60 so maybe spending a few bucks doesnt hurt?

Honestly, I’m just happy that I can see the same people picking on each other somedays and helping each other out the others.

Keep sipping that Koolaid lol

You of course make good points, but you misunderstand one thing. Crossout PVP is not competitive. You can have a 9000 -power score Turret vehicle and win 50 percent of the time. Even if you lose 100 percent, you still gain Reputation and Resouces as long as you score the minimum 40 points, throw a Flag on there, some Decorations, the 70,000 Daily Bonus, and even a bad loss can advance your progress. Jump from Faction to Faction to use the 70,000 wisely.
When I took a 5-year break from Crossout, my clan leader would make me log in for every free give away, every free Premium time. I would play enough to get my free 40 coins and my free gear. I come back 5 years later, my Goblins are Special, no longer Rare like when I crafted them, I have several Rare Cabins, I have a set of Array Special Tires, a special Maxwell, a special Hardcore, 3 Sledgehammers, 3 Rapid Fire Special Machine guns, 3 Sinus MG’s, an Epic Ammo Crate. I made some Coins and bought a Call Cabin Cheap. I crafted Pythons and waited for a Fusion Special. I sold an Epic Ammo Pack from a Crate and bought a Cheetah for less coins. I bought a Gas Generator. I crafted some Rapiers. I got 3 Wasps from crates. Now I can assemble an 8000-power score Turret vehicle. I bought 3 Grenadiers cheap and can now assemble an 8999-power score vehicle.
Paying does not make you win more.

Piercers! I finally remembered the name!

Say that again? lol

You can play at 5000 and farm all three Resources. Short queue times are what I want. So I can go from 5000-9000 using Drones. RU is short queue times at 5000 but suddenly becomes unplayable every day at the same time. So, I have to play NA, queue times are garbage on NA at 5000 so, I bust out the 9000 PS 3 Grenadier version and find short queue times. Now, 4 turrets at 5,000 is much stronger than 3 Grenadiers at 9,000. You might even call a drone build at 9,000 PS underpowered. But I still win 50 percent of the time and still get paid for each battle. You just play, there is no competition in PVP. Even Clan Confrontation, I take my 4 Pythons or 3 Grenadiers to CC and win 50 percent.

How many Missions do you win 8v6 because of disconnects? How many do you lose 6v8 for the same reason? How can it be competitive when half the battles have uneven teams?

I run most of the gambit from 5-14k I don’t generally have much an issue with any of zones in PS but some can be annoying at some times. When they get like that I tend to just switch out to another build. You can tell there is a competitive streak in the game just by looking at all the meta selections though. I tend not to play these but I know lots of people enjoy them or there wouldn’t be so many copy cats.

And, when I say you can get a good build at 9000 Power Score in two months, using all the give aways, I left out that you have to play the game like a full-time job. Use all 70,000 bonus a day plus more. Day off from work, nope, play Crossout for 8-10 hours. Full time job if you want to reach 9,000 Power Score, but why strive for this number? The rewards are the same at 5,000. For CC I guess, is only reason to strive for 9,000 I can think of.

If you can’t do that it’s not my fault or the games. Yeah there is a lot of grind to this but if you can’t keep up it’s not anyone else fault but yours. I even fall behind sometimes but I don’t go blaming other people. Sometimes you just have to eat your own faults, It’s just how it works out. I’m not trying to shit shame you either. I normally try to just do 2hrs a day and that’s normally enough and I can also some times take a weekend or so off. Like outside of the test server I haven’t really been on much this weekend. If I’m going to waste time in the game it’s on building and trying stuff.

That is a very good point.

I wish this game was a little forgiving for the people who fall behind. I’m tired of all the FOMO tactics the game’s battle passes implement.

If people have no sense of hope that they’ll ever catch up. They might quit.

I fell behind because I didn’t think keeping up was worth it anymore.
If enough people say this game isn’t worth it. The game will die.

Then we’ll all be freed from this purgatory, and allowed to move on to better games run by better companies, not published by the snail.

:innocent:

Give them some time they weren’t even using a proper bug tracker that long ago (pre-forum change over)…

I get the impression that the mini-passes (more pay to play) are supposed to help with this situation. Maybe that’ll get tuned in a little better, but I think it works for catching up and dealing with the FOMO pretty good, ya?

Bust out that Visa, kids! I’m not sure there are reasonable options anymore. Sure you can grind the helloutta this game, but I’m not sure if that’s really much fun when you’re being crushed by META you can’t afford or didn’t pay to have upgraded, which is going to be a bigger deal, looks like.

With the more accentuated fusions taking over, pay to win is going to be more of a thing, I would expect. Playing with un-fused crap is going to feel pretty lame, unless the matchmaker sorts that out by throwing soft pitches, which it does, but the gap between fused and unfused looks like it’ll probably get wider, and that’s a pay to win feature if ever there was one…ya, sure, “technically” you can grind most of (most of it, not all of it) that stuff for free. Sure. Good luck with that, counselor, I say.

IDK. There’s a lot in this next update, and who knows how much of it will actually show up in the game, or how it will all fall in place, but the consensus I’ve been reading (haven’t hit the test server myself) on reddit say the new fusion feature is too much…I wonder what the fusions for melee will look like? Are they going to get updated too? Or, did everybody forget about melee?

That wretched snail’s greed has ruined two games.

This game will either improve, or it will die. Either way, I win. The people who lost are the ones who sank Thousands of Dollars into this game. What will they have to show for it?

In the end, I am disappointed. This game had so much potential. It’s a shame to see it squandered.

I see that as selling a solution to a problem they purposely made. I might not hate Mini BPs if they didn’t have the same cost as a regular BP. Why couldn’t they just sell older BPs to someone who never had a chance to buy and complete them.

I think this game’s business model is designed to make them miserable while offering the temptation of paying to skip the grind and have fun destroying other noobs.

Widen the gap too much, and everything will collapse. Players will leave the game because they’ve had enough.

I don’t know and I don’t care. I don’t think these changes will reverse all of the damage that has been done. This game needs an overhaul, but I just don’t think it’s gonna happen.

Hovers and Melee, the game has always been like that. It’s that there are so many relatively useless movement parts because they got completely outclassed by the dominate ones.

No “might” about it. Every other month I’m purging players from the friends list who were all excited about the game at first, but left after a few months, because they saw that they’d never be able to build cars like other people had, anytime soon, without ALOT of money from their folks. I keep a folder on the pc with snapshots of their last build, all that’s left to remember them by.

I can tell you from personal experience from just working on different games that half the stuff we ask about will not show up till years later.

One of the devs I use to do stuff with in his 2d games took a years took years doing a 3d version of it: Steam Community :: Dream Car Builder. I use to do lots of content sketches of them and cut outs for the 2d version. So sometimes I think we’re a little too salty and a little to harsh for an indie game.

All problems stem from the low player count. More players, more diversity, more new players, more players at lower power scores, more players to buy your Resources and Items, the pyramid scheme market needs new players to operate correctly. The whales will not quit because they invested too much to quit. One day there will be only one server for all the whales then the complete shutdown. We fish will have been forced to quit.
