Why is the vindicator so unpopular?

Agreed. It must be a PC thing. The price of Vindis is steady at 5000 something coins on Xbox which is the price of a lot of legendary weapons on Xbox. By contrast, Vultures and Assemblers are always around 3000 coins.

I’m not sure what caused Vindis to drop. They are very good serviceable weapons. They have a lot of durability with the perk, their damage is burst orientated so it does more instantly when you need it and they are very small and very hard to hit, especially if you have 4-5 of them spread around your build.

If they are going for trash prices on PC, buy them all and get yourself a nice Gerrida/Omni/Bigram build with them.

I had to cancel my offer for the other 2 vindicators and see what happens in the next day or two because a couple of trolls threw out offers that was over 200 coin compared to the drop I bought them up for so they are basically selling close to where they were before. They been cheap for a while anyway’s but the price just momentarily bottomed out so I managed to get 2 at that price but if the prices don’t go back down to 1300-1400 than I don’t mind paying 1500-1600 but ill wait and see if it happens.

Maybe a bunch of people unfused their BP ones and flooded the market?

The Vindicator is definitely only depressed on PC. On Xbox, it has a decent buy now price of 6,000 coins. The Destructor and Waltz are unfairly being sold for dirt cheap 3K despite being excellent weapons. I could write a “What happened to the Destructor/Waltz” post.

Now I’m curious if the price went back up on PS4. Haven’t checked for a while, but if they’re at 6000 coins I might sell mine.
Nothing wrong with them, but I want some new toys.

Destructor is on page 2 of legendaries but the vindicator is on the last page along with weapons like the assembler/vulture. Vindicator has been on page 4 or 5 for a nice while meaning it is pretty unpopular. I wasn’t really making this thread about the prices but about the popularity of the weapon itself. Destructor is pretty cheap on pc too despite being one of the most popular weapons being used.

The thing is, prices don’t say much about how good an item is. There is some junk going for high prices because of scarcity, and there are some great items going for very little because the market got saturated.

I do agree with what you said,
But sometimes an items is expensive because it is good. You can normally tell the difference because these will be on the first page.

It’s pretty easy to see “popularity” VS “Sacristy”

It’s easy if you’ve been playing for a long time and have a sense of how items perform on the battlefield, but for newer players it’s not always evident.
I know I made a lot of dumb expensive purchases the first year I played, because I figured that a big price tag meant the item had to be strong.
The prices get weirder for epic or lower items, but even some legendary items have deceptive pricing on PS4. There are some decent weapons going for peanuts sometimes, mostly because they got nerfed slightly and everyone dumped theirs when they weren’t OP anymore. Still good guns, just not stupid good anymore.

Because of powercreep.

Parsers on Xbox are super cheep. I put them in this group.

And really good parts that have even a slight learning curve are often cheap while derp mash W items are pricier.

Because they were nerfed at one point and then Nothungs came around

On a semi-related note, it’s often a good idea to buy things when they seem really cheap.
Sometimes they end up being an ingredient for items from a mini-BP, allowing you to make a lot of profit, and other times they get buffed.

I know multiple players who have made Crossout fortunes from doing this. They have a large inventory of everything and they just sit around until some of the their inventory hits in season.

The Raven event always sends the prices of some unloved items way up. You can triple your investment sometimes, if you’ve got the things people want.

Please don’t bring up Ravens. It is a sore subject with me. I sat on 30,000 batteries for months waiting for the Ravens event that never came. Then a month after non-Ravens, I sold most of them for no profit because I wanted Helicons the first day they came out.

I am soon gonna have to take the stock market route to make my coin. I usually buy right away and sell right away to make my profits then rinse and repeat but I am soon gonna take the stock market approach especially if another market bot comes around that starts flipping paints and decor where I was forced to migrate to.

Having spent some time with the vindicator here is conclusion I came to. Damage/range is good, better than any mg especially when paired on icebox but the spread is just so bad that any minor dps advantage is not worth it. It basically needs to be used like a goblin shotgun to be effective lol. I can’t remember the spread of the vindicator always being this bad soo do anyone remember which update that the spread/spread growth got nerfed? it must of happened sometime in the past year or less.

I’m not sure if they changed them in the last year??

Sometimes I think they balance around fuses and other perks.

Because if you go:
Spread fused guns
Falcon driver
Torero cabin

Then almost any MG is like a laser beam.
