I can build a banana car out of nearly ANY weapon in the game and it will work better than most other build types at nearly every PS than the tradition “mount it behind the cabin” builds.
I can build a buried bigram build, out of nearly ANY weapon in the game and it will more effective than the “mount it behind the cabin” builds.
I can build a V hover and be at 4k ps with chords pretty easily. That is more effective than most builds.
These are examples of M.E.T.A. builds.
It doesn’t matter what guns you are using etc. it is the style of build, having the most effective durability (notice I did not say the most) while maintaining the most effective armor.
Your individual goal does not matter in this regard, as M.E.T.A. is a natural consensus of refinement in a multi-player game where people seek competitive advantages. It is not evidenced by a single players “available parts” but by the population as a whole.
Sometimes, we have to understand that not everything pertains to the individual no matter how much we want it to.
I realized I don’t care, I build what I see in my head and I have more fun than I had when chasing that tail.
Patient, Poony, Clebardman all understand. Some might have a slightly modified version when it comes to XO, but it’s basically the same thing extended to brackets.
Then you got one guy that thinks drones are meta, and other guy that’s thinks you can find the word we are talking about in a dictionary.
If you want to be in that second group, then by all means - your right - that’s the group of players you belong in.
I understand where you’re coming from, but I still disagree (^: I’m just not going to argue further because you guys seem like you’re having a blast without me already
I remember you played MtG, that’s why I switched to the MtG analogy. I stick to my opinions that PS brackets = formats, while game modes… well, game modes = game modes. The meta in 2v2 might be different than in 1v1, but you’re still using the same cards pool.
Anyway, the thing about metagame is that it’s supposed to be dynamic. A new dominant build rises, a new counter appears, and the cycle goes on. While XO is more stale than that loaf of bread I found under some kitchen’s furniture while cleaning up yesterday.
In MtG it’s “hey that green/blue dryad deck with 6 terrains is popular, lets play terrain-breaker red!”
In XO it’s “hey hovers MGs are popular, lets play hovers MGs because everything else sucks!”
Well, if that’s the case, it makes sense… obviously, some folks take gaming way more seriously than others. This thread is about exactly that in a way. Folks will shame others for not playing the game the way they do. Then, here, if you don’t define terms the way they do, you’re not just in disagreement, but lesser in some way.
Kinda’ sad, really.
“Play with your toys the way I play with my toys, or you’re a fool” seems to be the mentality.
I don’t get it.
Even with carefully articulated posts, the responses are insulting from people with that mentality. Sad, really.
I think I’ll go knock out that annoying “heavy cab” challenge with a drone boat in honor of this thread… heck, I might even do it with a top PS beast just to piss off the try-hards.
Alright, you could use the free Bear Cabin, the 4 free Array Wheels, the free Hardcore engine, the free Maxwell Detector and 3 Fused Falcons for the META at 4000 PS if your goal was to get many kills and kill assists.
Morgenshtern gave the free Array Wheels and Bear cabin.
Targem turns 20 gave the free Maxwell and Hardcore.
Marmok also gave a free Hardcore.
The Bear cabin now has 11 Energy so you could upgrade to Cheetah or add a Cloak, but you would most likely exceed 4000 PS.
People forget English is a living language. What a word means in a Dictionary may not be what it means today in slang as a commonly accepted definition.
For a well known example, the word “humbug”.
When Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol the word meant “bullsh*t” (yes, scrooge was telling everyone christmas was bull dookie!)
However the word “Urbanized” into a word synonymous with Christmas because of a book. The common definition overtook the formerly accepted definition.
How come some people’s posts were taken down but others weren’t for being off-topic, Talking about the dude who posted Magic the Gathering pictures, how is that appropriate and on topic? This one-sided enforcement comes off as favoritism!
And this post below was flagged off topic, please enforce the rules equally or it comes off as favoritism, especially when one of the posts that was remove was of the same person who’s post weren’t touched threatening others with account deletion acting like a admin/mod
Oh wow, what happened? You’re normally not so confrontational and what’s with the irl flex with MTG cards?
If I did that my post would be removed and banned from posting for 3 days lmao what’s your trick?
