That poolside humility, of course
Be nice, i was just poking the bear.
I am not a humble person, so you can not offend me sir.
Welcome to the club.
The Pooh Bear of the forums, abuser of censorship but everyone knows they’re an insecure joke
I think it would be the prideful that could be “hurt”, not the humble.
I have plenty of self confidence…but I also can readily admit most of my designed builds suck. I do appreciate my own ability to take someone else’s good build and make it better though. So kudos to those that place good builds on exi. Haha
This is the way.
I love to see people make builds their own.
We all have different play styles, so changes are needed for most people even if the original builder “thinks” it is perfect.
I post my builds hoping to spark creativity and I always learn from changes people make from my builds.
Collaboration is key.
Search Expedition Escort if you ever need a 9k Athena build, Clay. Well, i suppose youre not Clay…Sir. xD
It hadn’t occurred to me that band matches will probably also be on a weird schedule.
I hope it’s not too restrictive either, as I have days when I can play a lot, but can’t play much most days.
Yeah, this might be a major downfall of this mode.
Hopefully it’s at a time I play, but I’m not very hopeful.
We will see! Cross your fingers.
I really feel like people haven’t realised how strong Athenas are or can be anyway… I always find it odd that people think 5-7 seconds of reload is somehow too long to be viable in some way, it was always the go-to argument for Avalanche users even though a 5-6 second reload for such damage is actually now slow at all.
I love busting out the Athenas when a bunch of hitscan tryhard roll out, really puts then in their place when you ping all their guns across the map and show them how easy hitscan actually is.
Athena is OP at 9k - easy mode
Post a pic of your build in the build thread.
I will check it out this evening.
IMO, 9k is probably the most diverse PS. It makes so many weapons viable. Like others have said, hopefully the schedule is broad. I am not available for much of the CW schedule.
The sad thing is - if they do not make it the exact same time as CWs - then many CW guys will just play both.
Which instantly makes it a mode that is not new player friendly.
New players shouldnt be at 9k. That PS is low enough though that intermediate players can play and compete with a myriad of weapons. If theycjust participate in battle passes alone, they will have competitive gear. Relics are the big hurdle for CW.
I’m not disagreeing that they shouldn’t be there.
But with BP gear people make it to 9k fast.
(Also if you focus you could have a competitive 9k build on a fresh account in the first month or so without spending money)
Then when they try this mode they are going to be all “This is no fair, my build should be competitive too.”
These guys will last the frist few weeks, then they will realize this mode is pretty hardcore and they will stop playing from frustration.
You are probably right, as I assign “common sense” to commoners. But common sense iust aint so common.
At a minimum, players will need a good fused cabin, fused rad/cooler if using heating weapons, and appropriate guns. I dont think that would be obtained, zero money spent, in a month (outside of heavy, successful, market play). New players also dont have SMEs to help them with builds or the requisite knowledge of XO Roshambo.
People like me recognize what is needed to compete at a certain level. While I wanted to be in a truly competitive mode (CW), I knew what I needed tocget there. I also realized that at the start, I was only set to compete for top 100 with my gear, skill, and knowledge. I didnt get upset when better teams prevailed. I will confess to being upset by how long it took to get there though.
That’s the whole point, they want people on the game more and so this mode will be separate times I’m sure. It’s a smart move by the devs to get their numbers looking higher by exploiting those who feed they need to play these modes for their rewards if Fame is to effect any Uranium payouts, if it doesn’t then this mode will die pretty fast.
I think most that play pvp would also enjoy this mode. As long as the reward isnt worse than pvp I think it will do well
So true
Agreed, it would take an old player making an account with the knowledge they have to get it done in a month.
But if you got someone with a 10$ BP 9k car and they are going to be pissed that they lose so easy. This player may never log back into this mode again after being owned.
Yeah and I feel the devs play will be to give pretty bad general rewards but tie Skrims to Fame and Uranium payout, so it only benefits those who are already committed to clan wars to lock them into playing twice as often.
We’ll have to see but when have these devs ever done anything truly for the players, I’d love to get a chance to play this mode but I doubt they’ll make it fair or worth my time, I can never see Crossout having a real competitive mode.
