Why the new CW mode is poison

That’s what I hope for.
I don’t mean that I don’t want top tier players to be in this mode. I just don’t want it to turn into an easy farming opportunity for them.
Having said that, I’m optimistic that won’t happen. I don’t think the playerbase is as toxic and lazy as people in the forum thinks they are.

If this runs at a different time then regular Clan Wars, just like what happened with “Ranked Arena”, the majority of the people in the top ranks where also in CW top clans.

We have already had a test of this mode.

I wouldn’t expect it to be any other way this time. (Unless they did something different or if this is at the exact same time as CWs)

I would expect that the top players in any mode are going to be mostly the top players of CW.
I don’t really see that as a problem, as long as the rest of the players are also playing the mode.
I don’t assume I can beat the top players, but I’ll be happy if there are enough intermediate players that I’m not constantly getting steamrolled.
I don’t remember arena mode being that frustrating, but I also wasn’t obsessed with ranking up.

The 9k PS arena seemed to be one of the most popular alternatives. Hopefully this sees the same kind of appreciation from the majority

Arena had two mode - ranked and non-ranked

Did you play ranked?

Non-ranked was more casual.

I honestly can’t remember.
I probably dabbled in both, as that’s how I usually approach things.

assuming they dont get eaten by harvesters. :unamused:

long ago in lower ps vehicles harvesters would just eat them alive. even just grazing them would be a death sentence. i feel the harvesters are going to make a very toxic comeback and the market says it all. they went from like 3k to over 6k on ps4.

read above, i dont think itll last long with harvesters back at their full strength. if anything harvesters will get nerfed again in the future. how toxic is it? when i looked at harvesters before they were hovering near 2800 - 3000 coins. now when i looked last night they were breaking 6k. i remember how toxic the seal clubbing was with them. i HATED running into harvesters in pvp because they were so broken in low ps matches. now lets see how much they are… 5.7k right now.

points at the harvesters THOSE THINGS!! i bet theyll be back full force annoying the lower ps players.

“making a power score bracket to give a chance to poor noobs , while preventing people from using relics…”
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

And even without relics , noobs will always complain in forums whatever happens instead of actually spending time in game to get better.
Tears of haters is the most delicious nectar.
Also available : triple porc , double jorm aegis. enjoy.

don t worry , ladies , we ll make you hate this new game mode , and we ll play it even if there s no uranium involved, as a statement to your mediocrity.

dont forget the harvesters since they are getting a buff, perfect for seal clubbing (again).

Dat looks like 9k PS fodder lmao

Estimated lifespan of wheels in actual combat: around 2s. I really hope for you it drives well on two wheels, because that thing’s going to turn into a bike every game.

Agreed, Cleb. APC wheels negate that whole ride.

Two Punishers, 3 blue boosters, 4 hermit ST on a cockpit with 1234 durability, with 2 flayer and 1 sentry line bumpers giving a half block of armor to the guns is my relic ride of choice. Speed kills.

I’m not sure if you guys played Arena or not when it was out.

But many of the cars with movement parts below epic rarity where viable.

And not only that, many with teal and blue wheels were in the top positions. (I know a lot has change since then)

5 wheels, one in the middle of the build, on the right car can be better then 4 if they are epic or not. (Not in all cases, but teal and blue wheels should not be completely dismissed)

If ignored, they would be fine. If targeted, the build would quickly be limping. It just depends on what the enemy focuses on

I get where you are coming from. If wheels are the focus then even Hermits are not staying on a 4 wheel build.

This is why wheels in the center of the build keep it moving. (I mean in the middle, not side center exposed) A 5 wheel build can drive fine with two wheels shot off, if built correctly. With 4 wheels if you lose 2 it’s a death sentence.

I’m not sure if you had them in your platform, but we even had small low to the ground cars that ran low clearance wheels in top ten.

I guess my main point is - I think your going to find more diversity in this mode and everything is not as cut and dry as you might think at this PS.

@91423005 @60915652 I agree with your points regarding 5 wheeled cars. They’re def a lot harder to cripple than 6 wheelers with a trad config. You can drive (a bit, if you’re careful) on 2 wheels with that config if you balanced your car properly.

But those fully exposed APCs at each corner are just begging to be lightly tapped with hatchets :skull: Nobody ain’t gonna change my mind on that.

They absolutely have no place in 9k arena. If its shoot off 2 breakers or 3 apc wheels, wheels are coming off asap. Destructors getting 2 for 1s all day.

Now if its shoot through 300 armor and then 3 wheels, now im going to just one tap the 1st breaker.

But in no way shape or form should you be skimping on movement parts to shave some PS. The 5 energy comsumption of Breakers was surely why that giy had APC wheels. At that rate, youd be waaaay better off with 2 hammerfalls on an omamori with purple heating modules, with some respectable wheels.

I’m most likely going to use epic wheels on all my own builds.

But the facts are: people got top placements in Arena without using epic movement parts last time it was an event. They also didn’t only run 4 wheels.

Im just sayin

P.S. I’m not talking about anyone’s screenshot in this post.

Agreed, more balanced builds work well.

4 wheels are viable if youre levying their guns vs. your wheels. Id trade one of my 4 hermits for 878 damage on your guns, a photon worth of triple destructor.
