yeah, its just going to be a mess…
I do understand why all of this is happening, BUT having an offtopic section and having a pinned topic are the same thing.
One of them just works… and the other one is completely broken.

How do you make sense of this. Can’t even tell what people are talking about half the time cause it doesn’t show the message people are responding to. This forum makes no sense. Still a pile of
Nice to see they’re just wanting to listen to Reddit… yay. They’ve decided to listen to the troll section of their player base.
It’s a little confusing but mostly because the forum tries to use both threaded and non-threaded message ordering at the same time. The basic behavior is dependent on which reply button you use. If it’s the one at the bottom it treats the reply as the next linear message in the main post. If you use the one inside a person’s message it threads it attached to that message but still posts it at the bottom of the linear messages in the post.
Yeah, it’s all messed up. But that’s the idea, they don’t really want us here.
Russians have the same forum engine and reply organization, so let’s not make unsupported assumptions please.
When it’s a message’s reply and not a topic reply, there’s a link on the message that has been replied on the top-right corner, like this example:
If you did a google search for “Russia”, I’m sure the reasons will be obvious.
For starters i feel like the forums became the new general chat because of the bans and the new forums was put out to erase all the chaos the angry ones provided with us in there for all to view so hopefully this one is managed properly with less toxic behavior. I was on redit for a day and i said no thanks. So the forums to me was my only way to get words out of others including myself playing over the years. So hopefully everything’s taken care of properly and we all can enjoy the game we all play.
I’m not seeing myself using reddit or discord.
the forum is my most important tool to keep me at speed and so on.
why devs want to move on to other platforms? What’s the difference where we discuss how to counter wedges or clown faces.
If i understood this right, if is with this sorry excuse for a forum that we are stuck with.
If so, i have a small question.
where i can change this to a clearer or brighter profile?
Its so terrible!
I think that forums are less popular than before, since a ton of social media platforms exist now.
So now, News are on the Crossout main page, Reddit and VK are linked to them for comments and feedback around it.
Bugs tickets are also on another dedicated platform, which is better for tickets handling.
Those 2 points (news discussion/feedbacks and bug tickets handling) are the most important for the devs and it’s understandable.
I wanted to say this somewhere for posterity:
The devs here communicate quite thoroughly with the playerbase when the players close their mouths long enough to listen. The devs do not pander to dead communication venues, their time is more valuable than that. Quite literally, their time is billable hours; Why would they ever waste time arguing with intractable angery people on the forums? The people in the forums seem to think they speak for a majority, or even a large chunk, of the playerbase and that is beyond hilarious. You’re like 10 people thinking you represent thousands and you don’t even KNOW most of the people who play. You think because the devs don’t pander and cater to you -specifically- that somehow the devs aren’t doing what the players want… and yet… the game keeps plugging along and if you actually played it and spoke -in game- you’d recognize there are vast swathes of veterans returning -specifically- because the game is more balanced and less crap than it’s ever been and because it’s got some fun kitschy options beyond just real basic stuff now. Which… leads me to conclude that most of you don’t -actually- play or interact with the game on a large scale. You might play with select friends… but that’s it. You’re out of touch with the reality of the playerbase and the game itself. It’s not the devs who are the problem any longer, it’s the entitled micro-minority of veteran players who think they are the majority.
Flarum would have been a much better choice of forum software, IMHO.
I don’t think Discourse was an improvement to the previous software. I think this was more about cost than anything.
Previous software was costing a lot per month when there are a lot of free and/or open alternatives.
I am glad I stopped putting effort in to the forum a long time ago or this would have enraged me pretty good.
The forum had been overrun by people that hardly played the game but acted like they were experts anyway, so this is probably for the best.
That’s BS.
Forum by definition is a public place for exchanging ideas and P.O.V.
Forums are for the player base to the player base . Devs could pay attention to the forum but it’s not mandatory, they only have to maintain the forum in good working conditions, and good order by moderating and those aren’t even the Devs work. Not even announcements, those are made by the community managers
The old forum was more pleasant to the eyes but despite being virtually the same used, for example, by World of Warships, where i had close to 100 pages of screenshots and had my profile much more personalized with GIFS and signature phrases added automatically in every post i made, crossout old forum was very limited in those regards.
IMO this changes has to do with it.
This new forum it’s much more primitive than the other, just look to our avatars. I can’t even change for a brighter theme (i never used the dark theme being in a forum or a cell phone).
For the Devs only certain moments are worth to pay attention to the forums. Moments where the community pick up the pitchforks and set the forums ablaze. But for what i’ve seen so far there’s no need, there’s a kind of understanding between player base and the Devs. We expect a new item to get nerf soon after it’s release, other games require a forced uprising to cause any change…to hope for any change
But having a better forum would be cool. One that wasn’t from the dark ages.
Crossout don’t even have replays, in other games that’s a given
She’s just heckling the forum just stop bothering to respond. She might be just a bored and lonely grandma looking for attention.
Eh, She calls everyone grandpa and I get flagged for calling her grandma? Sooo strange…
I think it is good advise to stop responding to that person on any post. They just come here to troll and always did on the other forum too.
lol I was mostly jesting, I get along with her fine in-game.
