Cannon rework will fail to make Cars “Beautiful” - the complete death of wheel builds

this seems to be the norm…
i have 2.24 akpb …it has not changed in 2 years,it was up when i started the game,now it just won’t budge…

i think to increase it you play Patrol and raids.just like if u want to increase your MVP-just play Patrol…easy
any stat in this game is worthless…it’s been said in the old forum as well…
just saying’

I guess I kind of agree

Without testing we will not be sure, but I think increased spacing like you have might work pretty good. BUT behind every shot through part (your gun mounts and elbows) you will need enough armor to stop the bullet travel.

This will make the explosion happen in an area where you have no armor because you will have a 7 block gap of air.

Just realized there’s an error in the video… Will re-upload later. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Monkey’s K/D is the same as mine. I have a 2.51. This does not mean very much. First, I like to play big power scores where everyone is pretty good and has good builds. My only small power score build is an 8000 something Therm build. Second, your score goes up when you play machine guns and goes down when you play fire dogs or melee. Some people like to play firedogs or Harvesters and don’t care that they are out of meta. For me, it is very rewarding to single out someone on the enemy team, then burn him with my Bugs. I don’t care if I only get one kill. If I cared about K/D, then I would play Patrol for hours and get a set of Punishers. Also, it takes me a long time to warm up on wheeled melee, as it is currently much harder to play than a hover with a gun. Those warmups cost a lot of K/D.

Third, K/D is a pretty restrictive view on what makes a good Crossout player. There are several skills, including building, working the market, landing shots, driving to avoid shots, map awareness and team coordination that come into play. Monkey is one of the most famous builders on Xbox, is in an active silver league clan, and has enough resources and know how to play Monopoly with the market if he wanted to. He also has everything in the game and plays to invent new things. Why are we trying to prove he is a bad player?

Fourth, who cares whether you are a good Crossout player or not? What does it really mean? Some players on Xbox like to get drunk on Saturday night and shoot off Hurricanes or drop drones for 50 matches. They seem to be having fun. Who is to say that they aren’t having an optimal Crossout experience?

It means something when monkey is always playing fully fused meta builds and claims hes a master of clanwars.

I mean a lower kd ratio is understandeable if your useing funzie builds or less powerfull parts. But monkey is a tryhard meta chaser. My kdr isnt as high as it could be. Its because i mostly play canons.

Man i hate how mods are always removing stuff on this forum. And them too.

I only ever play high PS - once in awhile I will build low to mid PS builds to post - I will Test them enough to know they work then I’m back to playing high PS.

Also, even though I did play 3 years of top ten CWs 95% of the missions I have played are solo. I hate being in a 4 man PvP death squad. If I wanted a cheesy non-far match I would just play CWs.

Also, I spend a good 50% of my PvP mission play testing new builds. I only test builds in real PvP.

Well  even though I love all this talk about me.
It would be nice to get back on topic.

Thank you sir. I love building for the community and have always shared any build I’m driving from day one.

Also  I am currently a general in DAGZ, but I’m no longer active in CWs. Unless they remove Levi wars from CWs I don’t see myself wanting to play. I’m pretty sure DAGZ keeps me on the roster because people on Xbox know me and it’s good for recruitment. PLUS the dudes in DAGZ are pretty awesome, first clan I was ever in where when they said they are “no drama and play what you want” and really mean it. No one gets all bent if your not playing meta, which is a BIG change from the 3 years I ran clans and forced everyone to play what I wanted. (I’m a different person since then - a better person I can only hope)

I only really enjoy regular CWs, and if I’m going to go back to regular CW play I would want to go back to at least a top 20 clan, if not top 10.

I would posit that MM has way more to do with K/D ratio than given credit so far in this post. Long term (say 20,000+ games) we should all have very similar K/D’s… and we do. mine is 2.57 over 36k games. (of course I shoot bots… goddam retcher bots cannot be let loose etc!)

Because we are all similar with data points on our K/D’s, skill apparently does not matter.

MM’s generally do not continuously match winners against losers… in a very real sense, they match winners against winners and losers against losers (extremely simplistic explanation). It would be the death of the game to continually match winners against losers.
The best MM’s strive for no more than 10% variance from the median WR. That is why most games a 60% WR is considered very high.

The KD is calculated as a fairly straight average as far as I know it’s something like between the sum of kills and assists per match divided by 2. No more then 8 points per match can be added in as kills and assists for the same enemy in the same match can’t not exist. This means a player can have a really high KD just from shooting every enemy in a match every match with zero kills. At the same time a person that gets 2 solid kills every match with 0 assists can have a lower rate. This is why it’s not a great indicator of skill.

I mean…my kdr is decent. I have 3.25. I play mostly reload weapons with obtuse aiming and i come from the era where a 2.0 kdr used to be good. I dont have the luxury of being born in to the era of easy to get high kill to death ratios. Now with only six people per team my kdr has kind of just stopped moving.

KDR doesn’t mean much in this game. Assists count as kills once a build is destroyed.

People only bring up KD to dismiss someone’s argument anyways.

Yeah the classic times where you’d need to do damage within the last 10 seconds or so of the enemy dying… but when we got the stat I had a 3.02 and worked it up to a 4.06, sadly console is 6v6 now so it dropped to 4.02 then back to 4.03 where it seems to be stuck, which is fine… I never used hitscan or shotguns etc so I’m happy with it.

I love how everyone immediately goes to saying you can boost it in patrol etc like anyone’s actually ever gone and done that, people really do cope hard over a stat they deem as ‘not meaning anything’.

Unless you’re a lance build then I don’t see how you’d only hit 2-3 players per match regardless of what weapons you use, I couldn’t fathom constantly only hitting 2 enemies a game

If they don’t die, you don’t get a kill/assist. People can die early in a game, or an entire team can get steamrolled. This is an average amount of kills/assists for all of the pvp matches they’ve played.

Still though, KD isn’t that important of a stat.

When did they change the way it was calculated? I know it used to be harder to register a kill, but I’m not sure if I was playing at that time.

They did it a while ago (few years).

A player can but it’s not as simple as just going into patrol, it still means going in and doing significantly better for a long duration. Beyond that the more battles a player has also significantly influences how long it takes to change the average. So it’s something that is easier suggested to a newer player to do in that regard.

Just playing MGs or ACs will raise your average without much effort, even if you don’t contribute that much. Spray and pray will get you the assists.

Super early on, 2017 maybe early 2018 but it was very early… perhaps I can find it int he patch notes

Braying about your K/D ratio in a video game is really just demonstrating how much video games dominate your real world life… No matter the game.

21-picsay

In XO where playing different modes and styles dramatically effects the ratio, braying about it kinda prompts questioning your intelligence. :joy:. Even moreso attempting to shame others over it.

Like… Are we talking CW Meta players, CW art build players, high PS PVP players, Patrol players, 5k porc PVP guys? Like… Really?

THIS is the metric you’re going to use to tell other strangers on the innerwebs how big your virtual pecker is? Really?

I wonder what the k/d ratio is for my butt dragging fart puppy pyre build is. :joy:

Carry on, carrion.

Sounds fun.
