I never realized you where a mid/low PS min/maxer until this thread.
And yes, it would affect the dudes playing on the edge the most. And it should.
Low/mid level min/max players are the issue.

I don’t really consider 6k a “newb” bracket. Guppies are in the 6k under.
All of those same parts unfused on that build would be seal clubbing in that bracket. Newbs are using white/blue tires, 32-60 pieces of unlocked armor and a few crafted/bought parts not relics. If the relics are the problem add 1,000 PS to them. I would be fine with that.
Whats the difference if you kill someone in .7 seconds or it takes a full second?
That example is only proof of time in game (or money spent).
thanks! i just fused my small tracks…thank god there’s no ps bump so i’m still 7994ps
see our point yet?
Now you get it
And it is even a higher level of seal clubbing when the are fused.
This has nothing to do with what noobs are running. It affects seal clubbing vets.
Which is the point.
Yes, I do see your point.
Seal clubbers want to have 100% fused builds and remain at the same PS.
It’s basically the point of the whole thread.
Guys that play on the XX99 will complain the most, it might affect their skill.
Yeah, but you gotta keep it relative.
I will state this again to make it very clear:
I just spent the entire month of April experiencing what it is like to level through the game on a F2P account.
I did not experience anything nor anyone I thought was OP because of any build. End of story. (at best, I am a slightly above average player)
This tells me the skill/experience gap matters most.
Adding PS isn’t going to change the leveling experience for people that have not developed the skills to play.
Also I want to clarify, I play XX99 builds.
I highly suggest anyone to build on the edge of the PS bracket for the greatest advantage.
That knowledge is also an advantage.
Truth
Completely agree.
It’s the whole package.
Skill/experience
How good of a builder you are
If your items are fused
What drivers you have
Having all the best armor
And so on.
We can not change or adjust for 4 of those 5 things. But we can try and help a little with PS.
No mater what, we are all going to run around Pwning noobs. But that’s not a reason to not try and help.
I love PWNing noobs.
I love having fused gear
I love having maxed out drivers
I love having all the armor in the game.
And on top of that, I going to build every build I play to the meta to be the best of the best of the best.
This is like tossing a little scrap to a beaten dog.
That’s why I can’t see anyone complaining about it unless they are trying to defend a XX99 build they are playing.
this is not a seal clubber/ let’s try to find a solution to keep relics n legends out of lower ps…
this ‘ps bump’ will hurt all of us just trying to play with what we like…
Lol OK
That build is fully fused and runs 3 of the most OP fused parts in the game.
If you don’t think 2 fused seals and a fused Doppler give you an unfair advantage over people that don’t have those then I’m not sure I know what the definition of unfair is anymore.
It must all be skill?
Also, please know that I’m not hateing on you. I do this too. But at least I know it’s not fair.
well the seals speaks for itself…fasted i go is 91km and i need to go 80km with maces
that almost never happens, the update awhile ago killed that,so i have less shots now thanks to that stupid update.
being a wedge shotty and all
i just play anyway knowing that other shotys are feeling the same way…it’s really a kick in nutz, because i fused them before that update…thanks crossnerf !
i know,i’m just letting you see how we feel on the other side…
but it is fair…your just thinking relics wouldn’t be able to go low ps…
but we need a better solution then hurting us…basically it will effect ‘all’ of us,not just them…
‘unless’ you just bump ps for fused (legends/relics) for even more ps…then again i don’t know how mm would do
I think what you are missing is that currently anyone bringing high level weapons into low PS has to compromise aspects of their build to get down to that level, which helps make it more fair.
I don’t care at all about legendary weapons in low PS, because you have to sacrifice so much to get there.
Obviously fused specials aren’t as strong as unfused epics, but they are definitely stronger than unfused specials. Why not have a slight PS bump?
Sure, it’s not going to magically make the low PS game easy for new players, but it would be a bit more fair, which is a good thing IMO.
No one cares how the club feels when it is hitting a seal.
You have made your point clear.
i just got killed by a 7k dual porc relic…i know how the club feels…and how the seal feels
Its pretty obv that most ppl do not want to give up their unfair advantages over new players. You are experienced and knowledgeable about all these game mechanics, plus well rehearsed in your skills. Why should I also be able to spend money to have an extra 10-30% mechanical advantage over players who are are already inferior to me in the human control aspect? Its bullshit I dont need such huge advantages. 5-10% is already massive in a duel between two identical builds. I run a fully fused 9499 build specifically to target power players.
I should be clearer:
It is not that I am against adding the PS itself.
It is that I think it penalizes players for playing the game and improving their account while having ZERO effect to the new player leveling experience.
It is a solution that isn’t for the problem expressed. It will not work in any way to improve a newer players experience.
If we want builds with relics at higher PS… then raise the base PS on relics.
If we want builds with legendaries at higher PS… then raise the base PS of legendaries.
These changes directly effect what weapons show up in what brackets. They are strictly enforced and applicable to all weapons, upgraded or not.
Its a pvp game and newbies biggest competition are us vets with our fused Magnum Opus builds.
I don’t see any problem with the current PS cost of the various rarities, so why would we change them?
I just want some consistency with how PS balancing works. It should either reflect the strength of the items, or we should just give up on PVP balance.
