Eula Account blocked until 2052. Why? šŸ˜•

Hello :wave: I have only just joined the forum, so I apologise if I make a mistake, or the topic is in the wrong spot.

I am dumbfounded by my current blocked account, as I donā€™t cheat and as far as I know did nothing against the Eula.

I played Crossout as always, the night before last, and I ended my session with a few games in the steel championship.

Usually, I score one two or no goals and 50/50 win loose, so much so that my rating was 600+ not even a bronze rating.

But the other night I was on fire :crazy_face: The first game, we started rough and a guy our team quitā€¦

You guys know what I mean! It happens. Well, me and my other teammate went on to win the match by one goal

if I remember correctly. Awesome!

The second game, I managed 6 yes 6 goals, one of them was squarely into my own teamā€™s goal :shushing_face: :zipper_mouth_face:

But still we won. So that was the events of my last session of play on Crossout,

no conversations other than plenty of well-deserved (and one or two not deserved) Greats during the matches.

and a bit of clan chat.

The next evening, well last night I went to log on and play Crossout as I have done for around a year now,

and I received this lovely little notification:

I can honestly say, I have no idea what this is about! I am very upset about it, because I may not be great at the game,

but I enjoy playing it, and Iā€™m in a decent clan with decent people that help. I enjoy using my builds, Iā€™m not a cheater

and I would be lying if I said I have never had any private chat arguments with players, but I avoid it as best I can

and I try not to be disrespectful in main chat. So, I really do not know what is going on here!

I havenā€™t made this post to moan or complain, but I dropped it in the discussion section because that is what I am

looking for. A discussion as to what could have happened here, if anyone else has experienced this

and how I could fix the issue. I have messaged some of the game masters on here, after I contacted Gaijin support.

Finally, I should have joined this forum a lot sooner, I did not realise how much useful info was available!

Hi, KiSiT I recibed the same ban without reason, some accounts were released from the unfair ban but both you and I received an unfair ban that they didnā€™t resolve.

We put so much effort into a game like this, it really is disheartening when this sort of thing happens!

Look for the rules section on the forum and thereā€™s a thing about how to appeal a ruling in that section.

Iā€™m in the same situation. Iā€™m a fairly active player for many years now and Iā€™ve never received any warnings or accusations of violating the rules.
I guess it might be related somehow to the recent ban of players unfairly gaining points in the Steel Championship. They made an announcement about it so I suppose the ban wave was rather large. It probably means their system of recognizing such accounts was automated. Perhaps it was flawed in some way and flagged some players as cheaters by mistake.

Itā€™s actually comforting Iā€™m not the only one affected. If it is a broader issue then something was definitely wrong and hopefully it will be resolved shortly.

Same situation here. I have 8k hours and spent alot of money on this game and have ALWAYS played legit.
Yet blocked for no reason.
Have contacted support and they told me to come here and a (games master) would resolve it for me and get it unblocked. Wasting so much xp time. Hopefully it wonā€™t take much longer to fix.

Seems suspect. 4 random accounts that never post here are like, ā€œPlease sir. Iā€™m ever so polite and even-tempered and confused as to how I could have possibly got banned. Oh you too? Iā€™m glad to see itā€™s not just me with this undeserving ban. If only we could have just a discussion, I just had a good game once.ā€

The reaction is too chill and pleading to the common man. Five bucks says theyā€™re guilty :\

I understand why would you think that. Itā€™s true Iā€™ve never posted anything here but thatā€™s due to the very limited free time I have - I prefer to spend it on actually playing the game instead of browsing forums. Many times I can only afford to start the game, put some orders on the market and then leave.

Secondly, itā€™s not about ā€œone good gameā€. Iā€™ve never played the mode at all so something is definitely not right. Unless it is not related to the Steel Championship but it seems unlikely those couple of blocks happened at the exact same time as the announcement. Also, they specifically mentioned players unfairly gaining points in the mode, not any other reason for the ban wave.

Lastly, as far as I know when someone is banned for cheating, the in-game notification specifies that the player was blocked by the anticheat. In this situation, no real reason is provided (perhaps thatā€™s why that announcement was published).

One thing I am wondering is, if you look here: [PC] Crossout 0.12.80. Steel championship - News - Crossout

You will see that in the ā€œwhatā€™s new for this seasonā€ section, the seventh point is:

  • Added the option to attach the camera to the ball. This can be done by pressing the ā€œEā€ key or the right stick on the gamepad. In order to restore the previous behaviour of the camera, you need to press the same key again.

This to me seems very useful for the steel championship game, but surely this usage capability of the camera could be construed as a cheat of some sort?

My question is: Is this option ironically being flagged as a cheat by an automated system that you mentioned above?

This is may just be me clutching at straws. But it does bear thinking about.

I can see why you are saying what you are saying.

The first point I would like to address is your opinion of my mild manner :neutral_face: I can promise you that I am fuming, I could rant like the best of them on here, but where would that get me? It would spark arguments and needles divergences from the topic at hand. and get me nowhere. I want to stay on topic!

Also, I specifically joined the forum and posted my topic in the discussion section because I wanted to discuss it and find out if I was alone or if there were others.

I will tell you a small snippet about myself, see if it helps you understand my mild manner, and how unlikely it is that I cheated in any way. Iā€™m 38, a father and the last time I gamed was around 12 years ago when I had a stint on another mmorpg. I picked Crossout up around a year ago because I caught covid and was out of work as a result with not a lot else to do.

Also, the account ban as you can see from the picture in my original post is not via the anti-cheat system,

it is for multiple violations of the Eula. So, I donā€™t think any of us actually know what the ban is for!

It is guesswork swaying us towards the football, but one spanner in the works is PanPsychol says he didnā€™t use the mode at all so that throws the potential cause of our bans out of the window if I used the mode and he didnā€™t but we both have the same 30-year block on our accounts with zero reason why other than breaching Eula.

I too am in the same boat atm. Recieved very nearly identical pop up when logging on to play.

Gaijin support sent me to russian gms. The russian gms sent me to a gm here. Now on my third gm. Hoping this can be resolved as it seems many ppl have been unduly affected by this.

It is bad that it has happened to so many others, but good that you guys are getting in here and letting people know!

The run around between gaijin support and the different GMā€™s and the replies with no actual explanation for the account blocks is tiresome, but hopefully if we persevere, the issue will get sorted.

One thing I will say is that although slow, all the replies I have had have been polite. so :+1: :+1: there.

We just want to play the game, so I suppose no reply will ever be fast enough.

Hello all, as some of you saw, there has been some sanctions made by mistake recently related to Steel Championship, so if your account is still blocked and you think itā€™s a mistake you can appeal the sanction by using this form : Game rule violations & Appeals against a penalty

I have used the Game rule violations & Appeals against a penalty section when I first joined the forum!

There is mention of the form to fill in, but no link to the form, just a recommendation to message HornOchse

directly. Others may have a different experience, but I did message, and my response was:

I do use this function implemented into the steel championship game play frequently

as I struggle finding the ball if I donā€™t.

Please correct me if I am wrong!
