Hover speed need to be nerf

I never said you couldn’t counter a hover. But your acting like they are harmless and easily one shot and killed by a scorp. Your going to the opposite silly extreme of Ferrarifrank dude.

Your both over exaggerating.

Never mentioned a scorp - and who is the other person in this conversation??? I am saying they are not in a good place but they do not need a nurf.

I see.

I also see you didn’t read much of this thread. I mean… I dont blame you. It’s pretty littered with nonsense.

I’m referring to the poster of this thread Ferrari frank. Who makes claims like it takes an entire minute for any build to be able to reach 120km an hour, or that no build can ever catch a hover. U know… typical fool hardy baseless overexagerations from the kind of guy that wants only his inventory buffed, and everything else nerfed. And that he claims to be a 4 year vet in diamond clan wars, yet can’t catch a hover build.

I agree - This is what annoys me about the “Nurf Hover” shout you always hear. People want to play HUGE slow build with 7000 durability on cohorts and still be able to catch something light and fast. There is no build that does everything you just need to play what you enjoy and understand that there are build that you are not going to do well against. Thats generally why you have a team i guess.

I’m trying to think of the best jack of all trades builds. But firedogs is all I can think of that generally is capable of advantage over everything else. And even then… Shotguns should be owning firedogs. Alass most shotties think, “hey imma ram this firedog and try to wedge it like every other build I attack in this game,” and then poof… Shotgun dead. That’s one of the reasons firedogs are so op always. Because the main part that counters them is played extra derpy by derp derps with derp tactics. Some players may as well just glue their W button down the way they play.

Yip - i play CW mostly in Bronze and some silver. 75% is fire (2 x draco) the rest is mix of shotguns, firebugs and porcs. Dracos even after the nurf put out huge damage and if you get caught on the side, you are dead in 3 seconds. They should not have made so many nurfs to kapkans and the game would still have variety - HOVERS RULE!!

Try to compare a build with the beholder cab or hadron cab on hover vs on wheel, The hovers are way better. Nobody use the blight cab on hover.

I agree 10000%

wow ,only 2 type of build can catch a hover (firebug ,lance build ). WOW big variety in the the game.

i can with a firebug or lance build. But i’m complain about the fact with a 88kph build ,i struggle to catch 75 kph hover build , its a 13 kph gap.In game i feel it’s like a 2 kph gap.

are you that dense or do you not pay attention to others just for fun?

hovers:

  • can move over any surface
  • is not impacted by the terrain
  • no traction
  • fast acceleration
  • extremely mobile
  • can strafe and turn in any direction
  • can avoid most obstacles like porcupine barrels
  • limited to 75 km/h
  • low durability and frail
  • one tiny bump is enough to send a build into a 180 spin
  • aiming can be difficult due to how unstable the turning is

wheels:

  • can move on terrain
  • has limited mobility
  • is effected by terrain and hills (this means it slows down based in the terrain its on)
  • slow acceleration
  • can turn on a dime but needs speed to do so
  • cannot strafe or move sideways (minus omni wheels)
  • faster / higher speed then hovers when fully going
  • good durability

legs:

  • limited speed, very slow
  • can move over many terrains
  • is effected by hills and terrain
  • can strafe
  • can turn on the spot
  • compliments cannons very well
  • high durability

treads:

  • heavily armored
  • alot of durability
  • very slow and cumbersome, low speed
  • can turn in the spot
  • can travel over almost any terrain
  • is effected by terrain
  • most are large, covering a big area on a build

no, hovers are not overpowered as you claim they are. you claim to be a 4 year vet in diamond clan wars yet ive never come across you before in my previous clans.
stop whining about hovers, seriously it only makes yourself look bad.
hovers have suffered to many nerfs and are barely functional now as is. even at 75 km/h one tiny bump can send you spinning like a top. they are more frail then you think they are. so what if they run at 75 km/h? learn how to aim properly and you wont have any issues.
i can take down a hover just fine with my cannons. if your using a melee build then thats your fault if you cant catch one, not the hovers.

I catch hovers with my Hadron build dude… Because I know how to. Build. Every cab, at least up to Hadron weight is capable. Of catching a hover.

This can keep pace with hovers. And it’s a big ol build.

They are ,just watch the stream of a top10 clan on xbox. Many of them are on Typhoon sideways hover or scorpion sideways hover. It’s the same meta on XBOX since 2 YEARS the game is getting old.

I’ve kept pace with top ten cw players on hovers with this build and then killed them with that proc fortune build. So…

Also I used to catch hovers in clanwars on my echo build before it lost 5km. So ya. I’ll kill a hover with this build if I were to use it in clanwars. Those fortunes aren’t really armoured enough for clanwars though I don’t think. Scorps and typhoons on higher tiers would just pewpew off my fortunes.

Ps. Get gud

.

Actually, speed is not the “problem” nor is weight, my max PS build is a kaiju meatgrinder brick with an upgraded machinist for mass limit, durability, an opressor, doppler, averter, it uses 7 meatgrinders, everything exept modules are upgraded just due the fact it is my favorite vehicle in terms of “fun”

I can consistenly solo, and even sucessfully “chase” scorpion, typhoon, and punisher hovers to some degree, all of this is possible even though i am at maximum mass and toonage and only going 60 Kilometers per hour at maximum.

I can consistently 1v1 most builds at max PS and win, i can most of the time even beat multiple hovers at the same time;

Honestly, the problem here is not the vehicle, but the user.

Not really . When i’m going in a straight line and i’m going 88 kph and i’m 15 meters away from the hover ,it doesn’t matter who you are . Its all about the physics of the the game, the speed is not accurate in the the game.

can you imagine in a racing game ,if you go 88 kph and your opponent is going 75 kph and you can’t reache him ,that make no sense.

.

Then could you maybe explain to me why am i able to chase down hovers and easily destroy them with a maximum weight build while only going 60 kiloneters an hour?

A hover stuck in a tree :joy: or a hover build with 24 hovers.

I used to run a similar build, but with golden eagle instead of oppressor, a keen radar and an epic scope instead of Doppler, and four meat grinders +several omniwheels to get to max tonnage.
And yes, I agree that even a slow build like that can definitely take out the kind of hover you see in that PS range.
