How is our game REALLY doing - a possibility

To be fair, really thriving game would have thousands of sell/buy orders, if not tens of thousands.

The crossout population was always wavy anyways. It goes up and down and up and down but usually up during the northern hemisphere winter season is when the player base has a tendency to be up for the most part which is now the new season we are approaching. One thing that I can tell you for certain is that the player count is still more or less what it always was, there is no super mass exodus or super crazy gain either it is within the norm of 40% decrease or increase from peak to bottom and it has been that way since the game released.

Back in the days when the steam charts use to say 2000 to 4000 average players online it was in fact actually more like 6000 to 9000 players that was playing and you can prove that just by looking thru old footage of buy/sell orders as a good indicator of that being the actual case and it is still roughly the same on average just a little less.

Of course. But Gaijin’s abortion of a client never shows any numbers of their playerbase so we may never find the truth.

Your not saying anything new.

This is the same old song and dance for years.

Xbox - just like PC - has a greater population then it did the first 4 years.

These are facts.

So if PC has more then they did before and Xbox “still” has half then both platforms have increased.

Thank you for your info. It was very helpful.

Some people are trying to get hired in one of those open positions so they have to look good in the eyes of the employer, between flagging old posts
But this game loses players all the time and then new ones come in get tired and so the cycle repeats itself very few stick around for very long

This is how free to play business models work.

And that’s what I stated, games have turn over rates

Yes they do. Good thing for XO we are now in a state of growth. And next week it can be different.

Free to play models don’t want people staying around for years.

The actual facts are is that the population is about the same as it always was, it is actually on the lower end at the moment of the increase decrease cycle that crossout always had so you might see an marginal uptick which is nothing to get excited about and it has always been that way but your taking that usual little uptick that normally occurs every 6 months and taking it as the second coming of christ, get the bananas out of your ears.

Can you show me where these facts comes form?
And honestly I’m more inclined to believe the population is pretty much the same, I just don’t have data to support that.

And if it is the same, then they have plenty of money to keep it running. They have done it this long and we have double the money making things in game then the first 4 years.

I bet that even with the same number of people they making double now.

I provided you really good circumstantial evidence in all the screen shots I posted above that the population is more or less the same. The dev’s ain’t gonna say how many people are playing the game so you aint gonna get the 100% facts but there is plenty of rock solid indicators you can use to get an idea about what the population is which like I said looking up the various buy/sell orders on items, it is that simple no rocket science involved. If the population double you would get a sharp increase for buy/sell orders on stuff, you wont get an exact count but you can get a kind of rough idea about how many people are playing. You can narrow it down within a certain range but not the exact figure.

Not really, let’s argue that one in court.

I honestly don’t have a dog in this fight. It don’t mater to me one way or the other. You might be right, who knows. It don’t affect my game play.

Entertaining conversation, none the less.

PC gameplay is just fine. There is little difference (its easier to aim on pc).

They need a market corridor reset coupled with a rework. It is still possible to use the market and earn coin, it is at a lower rate. This is the part that is different on PC. This still does not effect gameplay, it effects what is in individual inventories.

I will point out again and again, F2P games such as this only need 5-10k players to be EXTREMELY profitable.

Steam survey doesn’t even encompass half the PC player base. It is foolish to think the majority of PC players willingly join an enclosed eco-system. Most of us are PC players because we do not want to be locked into an eco-system. Just sayin.

Then there are PS4 and 5 players, one, onex, series S and series X players… on top of that.

I’m sure it is fine. The market stuff ruins it for me personally. I want to be able to earn gear on the market, without the need to buy packs unless I want to.

But a few people here on PC cry like it’s the end of the world, so I can only assume (at least for them) that the PC experience sucks.

But I’m going to guess it’s a bigger issue for these folks and not just the game itself.

Its doing like crap. I played Confrontation and I see the same names and builds game after game. The vast majority of my friends list does not play. Steam reviews got justifiably bombed. They have entirely shifted to a mobile game monetization model that is extremely P2W with an insurmountable amount of powercreep involving premium items and battlepass god fused parts.
Do not look at short term losses and gains. Account for the influx of players who were already here in Asia when steam lifted region lock restrictions, the playerbase did not grow when that spike happened; you didn’t know those players were already here.
Look at the popularity the game had on youtube before Dawn Children dropped. As soon as they dropped most youtubers dropped this game IMMEDIATELY. Our biggest youtubers are JBRider and MrG lmao.

This game is on life support; the whales who have fun farming less dedicated players with whatever is the hottest fotm.

Sounds like the wasteland to me.

I dont think devs have any intention of letting this game go any time soon. Its their mona lisa. They will akways keep making changes and upgrades to it, and taking the game with them.

Im pretty disapointed in our spazzy gameing community though.

You think  lol

One seconds it’s all “BURN!!”
Then it’s “Oh wait… duh, I still want to play this game. Am I forgiven?”

Die hard mode going to be filled with die hards. That’s how it is in every game. This is not exclusive to XO.
