Nerf gerrida

Heavy cab spiders are very common on PS. While I prefer Humpback, cohort is prob better if 3 or more are using heavy cabs

Mastodon Cohort, with hot red as the doppler. It goes 69, allowing it to continuously close the distance on opposing spider team’s players only going 65-66. You pair it with 2 or 3 Punisher spiders and your Punisher spider gets 30% damage boost, while the Cohort negates the enemy’s Humpback perk. A Punisher spider faceoff with a 30% damage advantage. Who wins? Cohort buffed Puni Humpback 10/10 if he can shoot straight. In Spider Wars, dual Cohort, dual Humpback gives you 20 seconds to win the battle. If you outstrip/kill the enemy in that 20 seconds, you win the other 3 minutes of the round every time.

Its not what beats everything else by default like the Puni meta, but it absolutely dunks on other 4v4 spider CWs

I guess I’m just lucky… I’m not seeing any silly META dominate. Then again, I’m staying below 12k for the most part. It’s just more fun down here.

Some guys on Xbox kick butt with Machinist on Machinist Kaiju Bigram spiders with Omamori. Mostly, the kaiju is so high in the air it can shoot over ships on Ship Graveyard and other obstacles for an unfair advantage.

Fixed it for ya.

It’s completely fair. If it’s high it’s vulnerable. That’s a fine tradeoff.

All I see is Beholder omamori hovers so I’m going to take your “Cohort/Machinist are the meta!” comments with a grain of salt.

Also, played my fair share of Kaiju and against other Kaiju, Machinist is a terrible choice. Kaiju deals legit no damage on a Machinist, just don’t shoot at his weapon and you’re good. Especially with the nerf + shit penetration it got recently, it’s a joke compared to what it was.

To be fair, i absolutely do not think a Machinist cab is the way to go for anything except a Mastodon Levi wars build. But i explained the logic behind the cohort pretty accurately. Its a CW thing, not the kind of thing youre gonna see excel at PvP, because no ones sweating 4 man CW strats there. But other than peek and shoot scorps, hovers arent doing well against gerrida spiders in CWs that ive seen. Maybe on the lower end of CWs, but up top its spider bricks, scorp hovers and dogs. Puni hovers just dont have the staying power they once did with the pentration changes (lack of shoot through armor)

As an omni lover myself, gerrida is far superior for high ps in general. The comparison is almost depressing.

If you are playing in low ps<10k then omnis are probably stronger in most scenarios.

So they finally made actually competitive legs and you want them nerfed?

Delusional.

I would say buff track structure 50% and a small buff to omniwheel responsiveness and fix the godamn bug that sometimes renders them completely unresponsive, and we are pretty close to finally having something here.

Completely agree. Tracks are the only category that are pretty useless. I still see them, but yeah… they suck in general. Omnis & Augers both need help with changing directions/switching from strafing & turning. I see the new legs, and they’re clearly very good, but far from being OP in my personal little opinion. I hope they don’t do anything to them.

The more i use omnis the more i realize they have implemented a system that resembles “gear switching”.
The hill climbing issue is still unsolved and the bug i mentioned is a laughing matter since it exists for almost a year now.

I loved augers, havent used them in years after they changed them, i dont understand why they neglect such a unique movement part.

All this talk about how the heavies will take over and the game will become a hellfest of slow vehicles pushing one another, where is it?

Where are all the doom-mongers that prophecised the destruction of the game if hovers where nerfed?

Hovers have been heavily nerfed by the game progress and the devs and they are still played by top clans, they are still utilized like before and the players adapted to that.

Clan build variety has increased, people are learning to counter spider clans and spider builds that popped up, and clan wars is as enjoyable as it was a year ago again with far less bullshit involved.

Cannon damage is no longer a joke, and scoprions while still broken mechanically, got nerfed a little which is good.

After all that reading “nerf gerrida” only verifies to me that people are seriously messed up in the head.
They dont want to play for the joy of winning with brains and skill, they just want to steamroll people with unfair advantages and broken bullcrap.

Not that i am surprised tbh.

Not just CWs, which I don’t play, but the whole game. Virtually every match I’m in, there’s a wide variety of build types. Sure, there are still Meta builds for each PS level, but they’re not absurdly dominant.

I dunno… I think people just like arguing. Half of what the forum is can be dismissed as folks just rambling on about the game out of boredom.

Buffing tracks’ durability wouldn’t make tracks viable, it’d just make a better shield for spiders :skull:

I’m going to have to agree here.

Durability is not an issue.

Its either that or make them more maneuverable which will instantly lead into them replacing wheels like a couple of years ago.

Or, maybe im wrong.

I would not care if they found another way to make them better to be honest, i just made a placeholder argument for tracks because they feel quite useless atm.

i don’t use wheels anymore,i love my small tracks ‘helps push wreckage out of the way’ :kissing_heart:

I think tracks could use a bit more acceleration (reduce the power drain), and I don’t think that would make them OP compared to wheels.

I also don’t think they’re as bad as people say. I see lots of tracks in PVP, over a wide PS range. They might not be as strong as strafing parts, but if they were completely useless no one would play them. In some PS ranges on PS4, they’re fairly popular, and are a decent counter against melee.

Personally, I play tracks more than I play hovers. Yes, hovers are stronger, but I have more fun playing tracks. If they were as bad as people on the forum say, I wouldn’t be able to have fun with them.

PvP is not always a good indicator of what is good or not. Most of the time I look around at the builds in my random mission and I’m like “F$&@! Me…”

I have come to the conclusion that most people just don’t have the mental capability to understand this game. With its building feature the game assumes people are smart… or at least have a little common sense.

I’ve mentioned to the developers about tracks before, (what I posted on the forums in the first place) some indication that they recognised the need for variety in the game, but even then the main point of that article - the change about tracks - still didn’t get through to them, which is why I’m not too keen on talking on the forums these days as it’s almost useless!
Large tracks problems - Discussion - Crossout
I don’t make games, I don’t really know the details of how they are made, I don’t get feedback from the developers, and in that case I can’t be sure if my ideas are viable or not.
I’m losing my enthusiasm.Still, it’s a good game or I wouldn’t still be here
