New co-drivers. Test server

Can you imagine getting hit by a trombone, then double mastodon with 25% damage bonus? It will be pushing 2000 points…small builds will just be obliterated.

I am not an expert, but looking over this it does look like an improvement as they removed most the fluff that no one used or was completely useless. like 5% damage increase on MGs which did literally nothing on half of them.

That said to lazy to test it out so on text it looks good.

I honestly think they could do better with what they are suggesting for the passives and actives. It would be nice if there was some way to show character development like the old system had. I.e. gets better the more you team up with them. Even if the old system had a lot of fluff that didn’t get used there was a lot of useful stuff they are leaving out. This is really just too simplistic for my tastes.

I think I have an idea for how they can do that.

Have a cooperation bonus, that goes up the more you use a Co-driver

level0: access gained.
level1: a one time 1,000 scrap payout.
level2: 2% rep boost
level3: 10% damage bonus to a specific weapon set (MG, laser, plasma, rocket,shotgun, autocannon, cannon, drone, or turret.)
level4: 10% mission reward
level5: 5 fuel per match when fuel barrel not required. (stacks with the other two ways to get fuel)

to get a level you need to play 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 matches with the co-driver.

Once at level 5 you get the fuel bonus, which makes grinding easier. Note the fuel bonus doesn’t apply to raids and patrols.

Yes. But this game is already declining (why do you think cross-play is planned?) So it might be the last “whale hunt season”. WE as players want fresh blood, new players. Gaijin wants money and new players are at some point a liability.
There are KPIs and rules for ROI (return of investement) - so if bringing in new players costs more than they will probably bring in in the remaining life of XO, it will not be done.

imo it should apply to patrol. the normal fuel tank and rare fuel tank only do pvp so i feel 5 fuel for patrol vs ai wouldnt be harming anyone and would make it fair.

in all seriousness though i already hit super hard with my mammoths with 1 trombone, i cant imagine hitting someone with double mastodons and a trombone, yeesh. “oh hey look a light weight build” “oh hey look a bunch of car parts flying towards me” lol

yeah and imagine a new player just starting out without the upgraded co-drivers or they havent advanced more then other people. it would most likely cause them to quit id think.

Torque system was just some number changes.
They made a bunch of art and everything for this.

I can’t see any company investing in that time to not implement the system.

I was only able to play for about 30 Minutes to test Co-Drivers. So I wasn’t able to get develop many opinions about the change.

I wish they would improve the Test Servers. Sigma and I both had a few matches where we got disconnected from the Server.

I would appreciate it if the servers were up for longer. I think it would allow more players to fully test out the new features and give feedback to the Devs.

I didn’t test , i’m on xbox, but i’m excite about this; * Invisibility modules recharge 10% faster.

I think I’ll have a use for pretty much every co-driver now, which is a big improvement over the current system.

Something similar or options that I can pick from.

Rep boost auto increases mission rewards so they are kind of interchangeable to a degree. Rep is one of those bonuses that was left out though the old system had +3. I’d probably stay away from flat payouts though the fuel portion is kind of interesting.

Additional passive or altered passive perks or additional or altered active traits or activation methods; I think would be good for most of them. Movement parts often get the shaft in this system only a few of them have bonus for it, each co-driver could get something either (defensive, mobility or offensive) for movement parts. Similarly there’s little play in on the concepts of types of armor or types of cabs…

Does anyone know of any videos posted online from the test server on this?

I haven’t seen any but the only co-driver you could really tell was triggering consistently was Operative due to the highlighting of the explosives.

What the hell is comment this for? Nice to see abuse still ruling the day. Has anybody been on the test server rather than just conjecture? Thats what i want to know - people who have tested it and their thoughts on ALL the co-drivers like maybe a guide on them?

I just replied the other day I was on there two days and gave feedback to someone else asking. It’s only 2 or so responses up.

You even replied to me after I posted it.
