If so, that’s why this is inefficient. A sniper, by definition, will not be near its corpses.
A fast sniper could take advantage of it pretty easily. Doesn’t need to be a corpse they killed, right?
Just watch the map.
Do allied corpses work too?
Good question
Gun yay.
Engine boo.
I thought the gun looks like a Star Wars ship.
A Blind is anything a hunter/sniper uses to hide behind, making the enemy blind to their position. Snipers, in the real world, can and will hide among/under dead bodies.
As an old hillbilly, I’m familiar.
I just don’t know how one builds blinds in CrossOut easily. You’d have to kill someone or have a teammate kill someone & then hang out next to the corpse. Not easily done.
They also hide indefinitely, until they find their target in their crosshairs. XO PvP lasts less than 5 minutes. I ain’t sure full potential of that weapon will be fulfilled frequent enough to justify its price, size, and possible PS (I assume it’s about 4800).
Moreso, in XO we perfectly see opponents, especially if we know they would be hiding amongst hulks of unfortunate. All regular snipers either hide behind the rocks or other obstacles, or hovering somewhere in cloak.
I dunno, this weapons looks neat but it doesn’t feel like a good choice at the moment.
I think you all are wrong. A blind is only a blind if you are behind it and people don’t see you. In Crossout, a car body doesn’t cover you completely so you aren’t hiding from anyone. Therefore it isn’t a blind. It is a meat shield. Edited to add: This is a joke.
nah…your team mates are a meat shield…
corpses are just a shield…
I think that there is probably a diminished usefulness of power fuses after you have enough power.
For example, on my +power Beholder hover, I never put a Colossus on it. Instead I opt for Hot Red or Cheetah to reach max hover speed, and have redundant tonnage to make my build more tanky or have extra energy for modules or weapons. Fused Colossus has 33 percent more power than fused Hot Red and 28 percent more power than fused Cheetah. The idea is that if I have enough power on my build then my vehicle handles great regardless and I can pursue other build objectives.
Don’t get me wrong. Power is very important to me and I use co drivers Grizzly or Falcon for every build in my save slots for that reason. Just saying that if there is an engine that spits out ridiculous amounts of power, then the resulting ride may feel only slightly better if you power fuse everything.
We will have to test this and revisit this issue in 3 months when we have the engine.
I don’t disagree. I use red hot with many builds.
But I can see a few giant spider builds that will love this engine.
For example I have a giant bigram reaper build with a track down the middle of the front that is going to love this thing.
This build is hard to get moving from a complete stop.
Agreed. This new engine disproportionally buffs Bigram builds the most because:
-
Spiders the most problems with power drain. 8 fused Legs and a fused Goliath runs you -194 percent power if everything is power fused and -230 percent power if it is unfused. If the new engine adds +80 percent power or something, you will feel every bit of that and have a vastly improved spider.
-
Spiders have the tonnage to take advantage of extra weight.
I think that the new engine will help out light wheel builds quite a bit but the big spiders should see the greatest gains.
Could be useful on auger and track builds, but I’ll be using it mostly for legs.
the yellow accents on dawns children parts remind me of a warehouse mezzanine or a childs bunk bed , not of the future lol
I’m actually happy to see them roll out legendary engines. My only concern is that they are locking too many parts behind BP paywalls. While I know they need to make money they really should roll out at least a few legendary engines that are freely available in crafting, otherwise the free to play aspect of the game goes out the window. This doesn’t bother me as much for other item types as there are enough alternatives for the most part already.
Agreed
When was the last time we got a free to play craft-able item?
It feels like forever
The Auger nerf all but killed my quad auger raid build. I was going to delete it, but looks like they’ve found a way to charge me $10 to keep using it.
LOL Now I’m gonna have THAT image in my head!
There are some items from BPs that have been added to the factions, no?
Anyway, considering how many high demand parts are only available in high priced packs, I don’t think the BP system is really the problem when it comes to uncrafteable items.
